Abstract

Longtail Tuna fish (Thunnus tonggol) is one of economically important fish in the Bali Strait. The aim of this study was to assess the growth study of Longtail Tuna fish in the Bali Strait so as to provide an overview of the conditions and threats of Longtail Tuna fish landed at PPI Kedonganan. The study was conducted in November 2018 - January 2019. Data analysis consist of species composition, distribution of long frequencies, patterns and parameters of growth. Data processing was performed using Microsoft Excel and FISAT II. The results shown that Longtail Tuna fish landed at PPI Kedonganan included in fishermen's by-catchs and have a range of 418 mm - 643 mm. Longtail Tuna fish landed at PPI Kedonganan have growth pattern that is negative allometric (length increase is more dominant than weight gain) and parameters of growth asymptotic length (Loo) is equal to 675.15 mm with growth coefficient (K) is 0.10/month in and a life span is 164 months.

Abstract

Lemuru fish resource is one of the fish resources which has important economic value and is of interest to the wider community. Therefore, this resource has been exploited intensively in the Bali Strait and has become the backbone of fishery business activities in the waters. This research was conducted in November-February 2021 at PPI Kedonganan, Bali. This study aims to analyzed the production and growth of Lemuru fish which includes trend analysis and catch composition, growth patterns, length frequency distribution, age groups, and growth parameters of Lemuru Fish. This study found that lemuru fish in PPI Kedonganan had trend an increasing of 99%. Primary data collection in this study, such as measurement of length and weight, was carried out with time intervals of ± 14 days. Lemuru fish that were measured were 600 fish which had a range of 100.2-158.3 mm. Fork lengths ranged from 114.2 to 120.2 mm, consisting of 3 age groups separated by the NORMSEP method using software FISAT II. The shift of the age group to the right 2 times showed that there is growth in the Lemuru fish stock. Based on the length and weight analysis, the results of the analysis of the growth pattern of Lemuru Fish are negative allometric, where the length gain is faster than the weight gain. Lemuru fish has an asymptotic length of 179.6312. This showed that the asymptotic length of Lemuru Fish continues to decrease every year, presumably due topressure overfishing which causes the fish caught to be smaller.

Abstract

The growth aspect is important for the preparation of fish resource management because fish conditions can be described by the growth data. This study was conducted to examine aspects of the growth of Lemuru fish landed in PPN Pengambengan in the period of October-December 2019, as input in the preparation of a sustainable management plan for Lemuru fisheries. Data analysis was including growth patterns, length distribution, age groups, and growth parameters. The results of the analysis on the growth aspects obtained Lemuru Fish growth patterns are positive allometric, meaning that the proportion of energy from food is allocated maximally by Lemuru Fish for weight growth. The distribution of Lemuru fork length ranges from 115-196.3 mm with the mode found in the 155.7 mm, this means that Lemuru fish are in the adult stage. This stock is growing, marked by 2 age groups with 2 shifts of the age group towards the right. Asymptotic length of Lemuru Fish has decreased, this condition is thought to be the impact of overfishing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan bakteri Bacillus sp. terhadap tingkat kelulushidupan pasca larva udang putih Litopenaeus vannamei yang diuji tantang dengan bakteri patogen Vibrio harveyi.Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan AcakLengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan A (kontrol) yaitu tanpa penambahan bakteri, perlakuan B yaitu dengan penambahan bakteri V. harveyi 106 CFU/ml, perlakuan C ditambahkan bakteri Bacillus sp. 105 CFU/ml, dan perlakuan D dengan penambahan V. harveyi 106 CFU/ml dan bakteri Bacillus sp. 105 CFU/ml pada air kultur. Kelimpahan bakteri dihitung pada akhir penelitian pada media TCBS dan LB Agar untuk mengetahui persistensi bakteri pada air kultur. Seluruh data diuji secara statistik menggunakan One Way Anova kemudian dilanjutkan dengan Uji Tukey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan Bacillus sp. pada udang yang terinfeksi vibriosis (perlakuan D) mampu menghasilkan persentase kelulushidupan sebesar (82.6 ± 2.3)% dan berbeda nyata (p<0,05) dibandingkan dengan tanpa penambahan Bacillus sp. (perlakuan B) yang hanya memiliki persentase kelulushidupan sebesar (49.3 ± 4.6)%. Sedangkan persentase kelulushidupan tertinggi masih didapatkan pada perlakuan A (85,3 ± 4,6)%. Menariknya, penambahan Bacillus sp. pada udang yang tidak terinfeksi vibriosis (perlakuan C) ternyata menghasilkan persentase kelulushidupan yang lebih rendah (69.3 ± 4.6)% daripada kontrol. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa penambahan bakteri Bacillus sp. mampu meningkatkan kelulushidupan pasca larva UdangVannamei yang terinfeksi vibriosis.

Abstract

Scad fish is one of the main catches of fisherman who land their fish at Pengambengan Nusantara Fisheries Port (NFP). The method used in this study is the method of observation and interviews. Fish sampling in the study using a simple random sampling. The scad fish species which were found during the study were Decapterus macrosoma and D. kurroides. This study aimed to know about the distribution of fish length frequency, fish growth pattern, the estimation of sustainable fish potential and the estimation of utilization level of Scad Fish in Pengambengan NFP. The distribution frequency of female Scad Fish dominate the class interval of 197 – 204 mm and male Scad Fish dominate the class interval of 169 – 176 mm. The growth patterns of either male and female Scad Fish are negative allometric, with a W = 0,00001L2,9497 length-weight relationship for male Scad Fish and W = 0,00002L2,8089 length-weight relationship for female Scad Fish. The estimation of sustainable potential is carried out by using scheafer approach, MSY of Scad Fish acquire arround 2.646,911 ton/year with Fmsy 1123 trips/year. Based on data from 2009 – 2018, the utilization status of Scad Fish in Pengambengan NFP had undergone three diffrent states, the low and developing state in 2009 – 2017, and the overfishing status in 2018.

Abstract

Kegiatan penangkapan ikan di Danau Batur masih sering dilakukan oleh nelayan tradisional dengan ikan hasil tangkapan dominan yaitu Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelimpahan juvenil, mengetahui hubungan panjang berat, mengetahui frekuensi panjang ikan hasil tangkapan Nelayan dan mengetahui bagaimana upaya pengelolaan Ikan Nila alami di Danau Batur. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lima stasiun yaitu Terunyan, Abang, Buahan, Toyo Bungkah dan Songan pada bulan Desember 2018 hingga Januari 2019. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode purposive sampling untuk pengambilan sampel kelimpahan juvenil dan metode penarikan contoh acak kelompok (PCAK) yang digunakan untuk pengambilan sampel ikan hasil tangkapan nelayan. Titik 1 (daerah yang terdapat banyak tumbuhan air) dan titik 2 (daerah yang terdapat medium tumbuhan air) merupakan titik yang memiliki kelimpahan juvenil Ikan Nila tinggi yaitu 4 ind/m3. Dari lima stasiun pengambilan sampel, desa Toyo Bungkah memiliki kelimpahan juvenil tertinggi dibandingkan dengan desa lainnya yaitu 5 ind/m3 . Pola pertumbuhan Ikan Nila yang didapat tergolong allometrik negatif ( b= 2.52) untuk Ikan Nila jantan dan (b= 2.58) untuk Ikan Nila betina. Sebanyak 16% Ikan Nila jantan dan 32% Ikan Nila betina hasil tangkapan nelayan yang sudah matang gonad. Pengelolaan populasi Ikan Nila di Danau Batur dapat dilakukan melalui tiga cara yaitu restocking, menangkap Ikan Nila yang sudah siap dikonsumsi dan melakukan perbaikan lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesesuaian, daya dukung dan strategi pengembangan di kawasan diperairan Pulau Pasir Putih, untuk kegiatan rekreasi pantai, berenang dan wisata lamun kategori snorkeling. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi dengan analisa komperatif dan analisis SWOT. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, Pulau Pasir Putih memiliki potensi ekologis yang masih alami seperti pasir yang berwarna putih dan kondisi perairan yang jernih. Hasil yang diperoleh dari perhitungan indeks kesesuaian kawasan wisata untuk kegiatan rekreasi dan berenang adalah 86,8% atau tergolong kategori sangat sesuai (S1) , begitu juga nilai kesesuaian untuk wisata lamun kategori snorkeling tergolong kategori sangat sesuai (S1) dengan nilai 92,5%. Daya Dukung Kawasan Perairan Pantai Pulau Pasir Putih untuk kegiatan wisata rekreasi pantai sebesar 59 orang perhari, wisata berenang 27 orang perhari dan wisata lamun kategori snorkeling 136 orang per harinya. Hal tersebut dapat dibandingkan dengan jumlah pengunjung yang datang ke pulau tersebut berdasarkan pengamatan berkisar 10 orangp erhari. Analisis SWOT diperoleh 4 rencana strategi pengembangan utama pada strategi SO atau (Growth Oriented Strategy), dengan mengandalkan kekuatan untuk meraih peluang sebesar-besarnya. Dapat diartikan bahwa pemanfaatan wisata di Pulau Pasir Putih baru sebesar 4,5%, sehingga berdasarkan hasil perhitungan daya dukung masih dapat dilakukan pengembangan lagi sebesar 95,5%.

Abstract

East Seraya Village is one of the villages as the centers of Frigate Tuna fishery in Karangasem Regency, Bali. Frigate tuna (Auxis thazard) is a main commodity of the fisherman catch. This study aimed to assess the status of fish resources domains based on an ecosystem approach to the management of Frigate Tuna (Auxis thazard) fishery in Lombok Strait Waters landed in East Seraya Village. This research was conducted from November 2019 to January 2020. Data collecting in this research was carried out by field observation, survey, and interviews. Data analysis was performed on each indicator using a multi-criteria analysis with composite index assessment and flag model visualizations. The observed indicators are CPUE trend, fish size trend, the juvenile fish proportion, the catch composition, range collapse of fish resources, and ETP species (Endangered, Threatened, and Protected Species). The assessment of status fish resources domain based on an ecosystem approach to the management of Frigate Tuna (Auxis thazard) fishery in Lombok Strait Waters landed in East Seraya Village was good category with a composite value of 61,67. The fish resources domain indicator showed the CPUE trend has been annually decreased of 7,80%, fish size trend are relatively fixed, the juvenile fish proportion was 100%, the catch composition is dominated bycatch target fish both from gillnet and trolling fishing gear with each percentage of 98% and 90.7%, range collapse of fish resources for fishing is increasingly difficult, and ETP species (Endangered, Threatened, and Protected Species) caught was in a very small amount.

Abstract

Segara Kusamba Beach is one of the areas with high fishing potential. The main target of fiishermen in fishing activities is frigate tuna (Auxis thazard). This research aims to determine the domain status assessment of fishing techniques in EAFM for the realization of sustainable fisheries management. Indicators which are observed include: destructive and/or illegal fishing methods, modification of fishing equipments and fishing aids, fishing capacity and fishing effort, and selectivity of fishing equipments. Data analizyzed using likert based score scaling on 1,2,3. Sampling was carried out in November – December 2019 with interval of 1 week that is as much as 8 times. The fishing fleet at Segara Kusamba Beach uses a jukung with outboard motor engines (<5GT) or the equivalent of 15 PK with gillnet and fishing rods. the fishing areas is carried out in waters of the Kusamba to approaching to the waters of Nusa Penida. Indicators of destructive and/or illegal fishing methods get score 3. Indicators of modification of fishing equipment and fishing aids get score 1. Indicators of fishing capacity and fishing effort get score 3. And indicators of selectivity of fishing equipment get score 3. The fishing technique domain obtained a composite value of 80,4 with an excellent description and a dark green flag model.

Abstract

Pantai Segara Kusamba, Klungkung, Bali merupakan pantai dengan hasil perikanan tangkap utamanya yaitu Ikan Tongkol. Tingginya kegiatan penangkapan Ikan Tongkol di Pantai Segara Kusamba harus diimbangi dengan manajemen yang tepat agar Sumber Daya Ikan Tongkol tetap lestari. Sehingga dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui status dari pemanfaatan Sumber Daya Perikanan Tongkol yang didaratkan di Pantai Segara Kusamba dengan pendekatan ekosistem pada domain sumber daya ikan. Penelitian dilakukan pada Bulan November 2019-Januari 2020. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan obeservasi secara langsung dan wawancara. Analisis data per masing-masing indikator dilakukan dengan pendekatan multi kriteria analisis kemudian penilaian indeks komposit dan divisualisasikan dengan model bendera. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa domain Sumber Daya Ikan Tongkol di Pantai Segara Kusamba mendapat model bendera berwarna hijau muda dengan status baik dan mendapat nilai komposit sebesar 69,43. Indikator tren ukuran ikan relatif tetap, indikator proporsi ikan yuwana sedang sebesar 44% dari total hasil tangkapan, indikator komposisi spesies 95% didominasi dengan Ikan Tongkol yang merupakan ikan target, indikator range collapse sumber daya ikan semakin sulit dalam menentukan daerah penangkapan, dan pada indikator spesies ETP yang tertangkap tidak ada spesies ETP yang mendarat di Pantai Segara Kusamba. Sehingga dapat memberikan saran pengelolaan perikanan tangkap berupa manajemen periode penangkapan, perbaikan ukuran mata jaring dan kerjasama yang lebih baik antara steakholder dengan nelayan agar tercipta Perikanan Tangkap Ikan Tongkol yang lebih baik di Pantai Segara Kusamba, Klungkung
