Abstract

This study focuses on the learning strategies used by lecture in teaching descriptive writing in overcoming Learning at Sumbawa Islamic High School. The purpose of this study were; 1) to find out the challenges faced by EFL learners with low literacy in improving their descriptive writing skills, and 2) the perceptions of EFL learners with low literacy regarding the use of translanguaging strategies in improving their descriptive writing skills.  This research is qualitative research. Researchers used two instruments to obtain the required data, namely: observation and interviews. Based on the data obtained from the second instrument used, the following findings were obtained. First, The challenges faced by EFL learners with low literacy has five category; first, limitation of vocabulary, second complex grammar and sentence structures, third language used, fourth, learning resources, and fifth, strategy used. Language used by the teacher has the huge challenge in their learning process of descriptive writing of students of Sumbawa Islamic High School. Second, The perceptions of EFL learners with low literacy has three category; first, learning process, second, learning motivation, and third, maintaining native language. The perception of the learners regarding used translanguaging has positive contribution in teaching and learning process of descriptive writing of students of Sumbawa Islamic High School.

Abstract

Public demands for improved services in terms of vehicle equipment and easy and fast administration, due to the increasing mobility of people in traffic. the problem of service times coinciding with people's working hours. Often people have to abandon their activities. If the services provided are not on time, people have to spend more time processing their motor vehicle taxes. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Qualitative research is research into a process, event or development where the materials or data collected are in the form of qualitative information and the results of the research are not to be used as generalizations like quantitative research.The results of this research are based on observations of the availability of facilities provided by the Taliwang Samsat, service facilities are in good condition. The payment and delivery process for the Samsat delivery service is also carried out and carried out well. The inhibiting factors for the Samsat delivery application are 1) poor internet connectivity, 2) payment process and sending proof of PKB, 3) changes in regulations and online services, 4) lack of training regarding the application and 5) excessive and complicated bureaucracy.The conclusion of this research is; The Samsat Delivery application is very useful for the community and government in terms of Samsat motorized vehicles. Good internet connectivity, the process of using the Samsat delivery application will be of maximum benefit, as well as implementing efficient government administration. Samsat Taliwang has a positive innovation that helps people take care of vehicle taxes without having to physically visit the Samsat office by using Samsat Delivery technology

Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine the mechanism for completing the Five Pillars of the Community-Based Total Sanitation Program (STBM) on reducing Diarrhea and to determine the influence of the Five Pillar Factors on the success of the Community-Based Total Sanitation Program (STBM) on reducing Diarrhea. in Kalimantong Village, Brang Ene District, West Sumbawa Regency. This research method uses mixed methods research with qualitative and quantitative approaches, the location or place of this research was carried out in Kalimantong Village, Brang Ene District, West Sumbawa Regency. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, interviews, observations, informants, events, documentation, while to obtain For more accurate data, data analysis is used, namely carrying out Validity and Reliability Tests, Classical Assumption Tests, Multiple Linear Regression Tests and Hypothesis Testing. The results of the research are that the mechanism for completing the Five Pillars of the Community-Based Total Sanitation Program (STBM) in Kalimantong Village has been carried out until it reaches 100% completion, so that the implementation of the Five Pillars of the Community-Based Total Sanitation Program (STBM) is concluded to have an effect on reducing diarrheal disease in Kalimantong Village, Brang District. Ene, West Sumbawa Regency. The results of the Hypothesis Test analysis can be concluded that the variable Stop Open Defecation (Stop BABS) has a tcount of 4.291 and the variable Washing Hands with Soap (CTPS) has a tcount of 5.396, which has an effect on reducing diarrheal disease in Kalimantong Village, Brang Ene District. Meanwhile, the Household Drinking Water and Healthy Food Management (PAMRT) variable has a tcount of -1.685, the Household Waste Management (PSRT) variable has a tcount of -4.590, the Household Wastewater Management (PALRT) variable has a tcount of -3.236 with no significant effect. on the reduction of diarrheal diseases in Brang Ene District, West Sumbawa Regency.
