Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh temperatur steam dan suplementasi bakteri mannanolitik termofilik (Bacillus sp. SM-1.4) terhadap panjang vili usus, retensi nitrogen dan energi metabolisme broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial 5 x 2 dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama (A), level bakteri (0, 106, 108, 1010, dan 1012 cfu/kg. Faktor kedua (B), temperatur steam (650C dan 750C). Tiga puluh ekor broiler umur 35 hari dibagi menjadi 30 unit percobaan dan 3 ekor ayam untuk faktor koreksi. Ayam dipuasakan selama 24 jam dan pemberian pakan sebanyak 30 g/ekor, air minum diberikan ad-libitum. Data dianalisis menurut Rancangan Acak Lengkap pola faktorial 5 x 2 dan uji lanjut Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. Peubah yang diamati adalah panjang dan lebar vili usus, retensi nitrogen dan energi metabolisme yang dikoreksi dengan nitrogen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa temperatur steam memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap panjang vili usus, retensi nitrogen dan energi metabolisme. Suplementasi bakteri nyata (P<0,05) meningkatkan panjang vili usus, retensi nitrogen dan energi metabolisme dibandingkan tanpa suplementasi. Tidak ada interaksi (P>0,05) antara temperatur steam dan suplementasi bakteri terhadap semua parameter yang diuji. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi bakteri 1010 cfu/kg dapat memperbaiki retensi nitrogen, energi metabolisme dan pengukuran vili broiler.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate how the effect of the addition level of neem leaf flour (Melia azedarach Linn) on the quality of shelled corn during storage. The research material used was neem leaves, shelled corn, storage containers and analytical equipment. Neem leaves are given in the form of flour with a size of 60 mesh while corn used in shell corn with water content and aflatoxin content before storage are 20% and 110 ppb respectively. Shelled corn was used as much as 1 kg for each treatment and stored in modified woven bags for 4 weeks. The research method is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD), with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were the percentage of neem leaf flour addition in shelled corn, the four treatments were treatment A (0% neem leaf flour), B (2.5% neem leaf flour), C (5% neem leaf flour), and D ( 7.5% neem leaf flour). Parameters measured were percentage of damaged seeds, percentage of moldy seeds, moisture content and aflatoxin content. The results of the study showed that the treatment had a highly significant effect (P<0.01) on% of damaged seeds, % of moldy seeds, and aflatoxin content on shelled corn during storage. The administration of neem leaf flour at 2.5% level was able to maintain the quality of shelled corn during storage, where the aflatoxin content could decrease from 110 ppb before storage to 34,25 ppb after being stored for 4 weeks. Abstract

West Sumatra Province has relatively extensive agriculture with feed ingredients such as rice straw, Rumput Gajah and legume groups that can be used for beef cattle needs. The total area of Padang City is 694.96 km², and more than 60% of this area, about ± 434.63 km² is a hilly area covered by protected forests, while the rest is an effective urban area. While the topography of the city varies, 49.48% of the land area of Padang City is in a slope of more than 40% and 23.57% is in the slope of the slope. The eastern region consists of several sub-districts, starting from north to south, respectively from Koto tangah, Pauh, Kuranji, and Lubuk sub-districts. The Pauh region, such as the village of Lambung Bukik, belongs to the Pertides forum program (universities for villages) which collaborates with the 2019 Chancellor's MOU with the Ministry of Education PDTT) to prepare and implement programs to help build villages. Some of their income is obtained from raising livestock and farming. In general, both agricultural and livestock businesses are still carried out traditionally, so it is not surprising that the results obtained are relatively low. Cows are only ground or tethered at night, while in the afternoon they are released to look for food on the grass or in the sleeping area around the village. Only a small amount of effort has been made to raise livestock intensively by supplying and providing sufficient and regular food. The low level of livestock production is caused by the lack of knowledge of farmers in the proper way of raising livestock, also because of the lack of food both forage and the high price of concentrate. With the increase in the livestock population, it certainly requires more and sufficient forage throughout the year. However, the provision of forage has experienced serious obstacles. One of them is the existence of a dry season that causes a decrease in forage production. Therefore, the business of developing beef cattle will be more profitable if you can find alternative substitutes for conventional forage with the use of silos as feed fermentation sites. The use of agricultural products (such as rice straw) and other food crops as animal feed is expected to address the above problems. This is possible because cattle breeding is generally integrated with other farming businesses, especially food crops (rice fields) so that the results of agricultural follow-up will be available throughout the year. Therefore, there is a need for a kind of touch of feed technology with the use of agro-industry by products such as straw which are proven to be available at all times. The implementation of the application of rice straw ammoniation technology in the field with the direct administration of ammonia which has been removed and chicken manure is given. Participation and motivation of farmer groups in participating in a series of service activities is very high. Because all this time there has never been any guidance related to the technical and management aspects in the maintenance of beef cattle. Farmers already know how to manage fattening beef cattle such as giving concentrates such as coconut cake, soybean meal, fish meal, tofu pulp and bran and giving premix minerals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa ayam KUB umur 6 sampai 12 minggu yang diberi maggot BSF (Black Soldier Fly) dalam ransum. Ayam KUB umur 6 minggu digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 100 ekor. Pemberian perlakuan berupa tepung maggot dalam ransum dilakukan sampai ayam umur 12 minggu. Rancangan yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah P1 (0% maggot), P2 (7% maggot), P3 (14% maggot), P4 (21% maggot), dan P5 (28% maggot). Ransum disusun dengan iso protein dan energi yaitu protein 17,5% dan energi 2800kkal/kg. Parameter performa yang diamati yaitu konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, dan konversi ransum. Dari penelitian yang dilakuakan menunjukkan hasil bahwa pemberian maggot BSF dalam ransum berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap pertambahan bobot badan, namun berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi dan konversi ransum. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian tepung maggot BSF sebanyak 14% dalam ransum dapat memberikan performa yang baik pada ayam KUB.
