Abstract

Telah dilakukan kajian aktivitas penghambatan α-glukosidase oleh ekstrak daun surian (Toona sureni (Bl.) Merr ). Daun surian diekstraksi menggunakan maserasi bertingkat dengan berbagai pelarut: n-heksana, etil asetat dan metanol. Hasil yang didapatkan ekstrak daun surian memiliki aktivitas yang potensial sebagai penghambat α-glukosidase. Ekstraksi dengan metanol menunjukkan aktivitas penghambatan paling baik dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 4,41 ppm, nilai ini sebanding dengan strandar nojiromycin yang memiliki nilai IC50 sebesar 4,98 ppm, selanjutnya ekstraksi dengan etil asetat (nilai IC50 sebesar 7,21 ppm). Hasil ini menunjukkan ekstrak daun surian dapat digunakan untuk mengontrol glukosa darah dan pencegahan hiperglikemia.

Abstract

Diabetes Melitus merupakan penyakit metabolik dengan karakteristik kadar gula darah tinggi akibat kelainan sekresi dan atau kerja insulin. Beras hitam (Oryza sativa L. indica) secara empiris dipercaya dapat mengendalikan kadar glukosa darah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas antidiabetes dari infusa beras hitam dengan menggunakan metode uji toleransi glukosa dan inhibisi ?-glukosidase. Uji toleransi glukosa dilakukan secara oral menggunakan 15 ekor tikus (Rattus novergicus) yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok, yaitu Na-CMC, glibenklamid dan infusa O. sativa dengan konsentrasi 10, 50 dan 100%. Tiga puluh menit setelah semua kelompok diberikan perlakuan, semua hewan uji diberikan glukosa 50%. Kadar glukosa darah diukur pada menit ke-0, 30, 60, 90 dan 120 dengan menggunakan glukometer. Aktivitas inhibitor ?-glukosidase diuji secara in vitro dengan menggunakan substrat p-nitrofenil-?-D-glukopiranosida dan enzim ?-glukosidase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan infusa O. sativa dapat mempengaruhi toleransi glukosa darah pada konsentrasi infusa beras hitam 50% dan inhibisi ?-glukosidase diuji secara in vitro didapatkan niai IC50 sebesar 77,92 µg/mL. Nilai ini lebih baik dibanding acarbose yang hanya memberikan  dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 421,55 µg/mL. Hasil ini menunjukkan O. sativa berpotensi menurunkan kadar glukosa darah dan inhibisi ?-glukosidase.

Abstract

Octahydroxanthene Compounds are bioactive substance which can be produced from benzaldehyde derivative. In this research, we have carried out transformation of vanilin from Indonesian natural product to octahydroxanthene derivatives compound at optimized reaction time and guanidine was used as a catalyst. Several spectroscopy methods such as IR, 1H-NMR and GC-MS were used to confirm the structure of product. The percent yield from optimation product obtained was 91% with 96% of peak area.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan kajian aktivitas penghambatan radikal DPPH oleh ekstrak rimpang temu kunci (Kaempferia Pandurata). Rimpang temu kunci diekstraksi menggunakan maserasi bertingkat dengan berbagai pelarut: n-heksana, etil asetat dan metanol. Hasil yang didapatkan ekstrak rimpang temu kunci  memiliki aktivitas yang potensial sebagai penghambat radikal DPPH. Ekstraksi dengan metanol menunjukkan aktivitas penghambatan paling baik dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 96 ppm. Selanjutnya ekstraksi dengan etil asetat dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 101 ppm dan ekstrak n-heksana dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 130 ppm. Hasil ini menunjukkan ekstrak rimpang temu kunci berpotensi  dapat digunakan untuk agen antioksidan.

Abstract

The food crisis can be carried out only in Indonesia as a result of the Covid-19pandemic. Concrete steps are carried out using empty yards around the housing. Thisactivity provides sanitation fishers with knowledge and practices of fish cultivation inBanjar Wijaya Housing Tangerang City. On average they are married and their incomeis insufficient. The implementation method used is socializing in the form of counselingand assistance. Stages of activities carried out provide knowledge and arrange thenecessary tools and manufacture of fish farming in buckets and vegetables. The selectedfish is oxygen resistant. Maintenance for 42 days produces catfish and kale harvest. Thisactivity should increase the participants' knowledge from the average of the correctanswers.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide knowledge about the various benefits of heavenly plants and planting patterns of date (Kurma), tin and bidara cultivation for cleaners in the Banjar Wijaya housing complex in Tangerang City. The activity was given in the form of counseling and coaching about the benefits and ways of cultivating heavenly plants. As a result, as many as 12 participants increased their knowledge significantly both about the method of utilization and cultivation. This activity was at once a socialization of the theory and practice of plant benefits contained in the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the prophet with a sharing and accompaniment approach.

Abstract

Tanaman herbal merupakan warisan kearifan lokal dalam upaya pengobatan dan mempertahankan kesehatan masyarakat. Secara tradisional masyarakat Kalimantan tengah menggunakan tanaman aka kalesi (Sphatolobus ferrogenus) sebagai obat-obatan tradisional yang cukup luas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi senyawa metabolit sekunder yang terdapat dalam ekstrak metanol kulit batang aka kalesi (Sphatolobus ferrogenus). Isolasi dilakukan dengan tahapan ekstraksi, fraksinansi dan purifikasi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan dua isolat yang telah diuji kemurniannya dengan metode kromatografi lapis tipis. Isolat diidentifikasi dengan spektroskopi 1H-NMR dan 13C-NMR didapatkan senyawa gliseril monostearate dan sigmasterol. Kedua senyawa diuji sifat antidiabetes dengan metode inhibitor enzim α-glukosidase. Aktivitas senyawa gliseril monostearate tidak aktif, sementara sigmasterol menunjukan aktivitas yang lemah dengan IC50= 388 ppm.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan agar masyarakat Kampung Sawah Kotamadya Bekasi dapat memahami dan membantu pentingnya dalam memilih, mengolah dan menyajikan makanan yang halal dan thayyib. Wilayah Kampung Sawah yang berdampingan dua wilayah kecamatan Pondok Melati dan Jatisampurna. Wilayah tersebut terdapat beragam agama sejak dahulu. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Masjid As-Salam Puri Gading dengan menyertakan Majelis taklim Ummahatus Shalihat, Liqo Fatimah Azzahra, Liqo Ad-Dzikr, Liqo Baitul ‘Ilmi, Liqo An-Nisa dan Liqo Khadija. Kegiatan dilakukan sosialisasi pembekalan pengetahuan tentang kehalalan. pre test dilakukan diawal pelatihan, pos test serta ujian praktek di akhir pertemuan. Hasil kegiatan sosialisasi kehalalan dan ketahyyiban ini berhasil karena terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan pengalaman peserta.

Abstract

Hypertension is a disease characterized by an increase in blood pressure that exceeds normal. Diabetes is a disease caused by metabolic disorders that occur in the organs of the pancreas with an increase in blood sugar and are at risk of other diseases. Uric acid is the result of the final metabolism of purines found in the cell nucleus and results in disturbances in the human body. A healthy lifestyle and healthy diet are the right choices to keep yourself free of hypertension, diabetes and gout. It is important to know and prevent disease early, so that education needs to be made about the symptoms, prevention, causes and treatment of the disease. The implementation of community service activities is the empowerment of the Mosque Prosperity Council and worshipers in Banjar Wijaya Tangerang housing by physical examination and counseling to be able to find early risk factors for hypertension, diabetes and gout. The result is the availability of hypertension, diabetes and gout data. People know the symptoms and signs of disease and know how to prevent disease.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of methanol extract of Jatropha multifida leaves on the wound healing process and to investigate the wound healing activity based on reduced numbers of PMN (polymorpho nuclear) leukocytes and increased numbers of fibroblasts. Methanol extract of dried leaves of J. multifida was used in the wound healing activity studies. The study subjects were 36 white male Sprague Dawlay rats aged 2 months with 150-200 gram body weight. The subjects were divided into 4 groups and experimentally injured: Group I (negative control) underwent injury without subsequent treatment; group II (positive control) received topical treatment with Bethasone-N after injury; group III (solvent control) was treated with 70% methanol; group IV (treatment group) was treated with 10 mg methanol extract of J. multifida Each group consisted of 3 rats, which were decapitated on days 3, 6, and 13 after the start of treatment. Histological preparation was stained with hematoxyline-eosin (HE) and was continuously examined by counting the numbers of PMN leukocytes and fibroblasts as indicators of wound healing on days 3, 6, and 13 of treatment. The study showed lower numbers of PMN leukocytes in subjects treated with the extract of J. multifida as compared to the other groups. The numbers of fibroblasts were significantly higher on days 6 and 13 of treatment. The treatment of injuries with methanol extract of leaves from J. multifida provided better results compared to the other groups in our study.
