Abstract

ABSTRACT Treating Arabica Coffee Potentials as a Main Sector of The Export Commodity Bali Province The last 5 years of Balinese economic growth has been stagnant (on average 5.5%), while it is better than the national economic growth (5.02%). Given these facts, Balinese economic development needs to be directed to the source of new economic growth to create a progressive, inclusive and equitable acceleration of economic growth towards the equity of the wider society. In line with this intention, this study aims to map the potential industry which then becomes the candidate for new economic growth. This study was using a descriptive research design, in which the researchers interacted intensely with key informants and various sources of reference, related to the field under study. Methodologically these assessment activities may include careful study (observation, fieldsurvey and documentary studies of the potential of arabica coffee that can be identified as future business opportunities. Coffee plants (Coffee Sp.) in addition to having a strategic value in the economic development of society, especially in rural areas. Its role is increasingly important considering the coffee garden place the highest position in terms of coffee ownership in the province of Bali. The development of the last 10 years, increased the area of planting area by 3.04%, production by 27% per year, and the productivity (ose) an average of 1000 kg/ha/year. Until now Bali province ranks the top 10 coffee producers in Indonesia with planting area of 23,614 ha for Robusta and 9,448 ha for Arabica. The contribution of Arabica coffee to Bali’s coffee export commodity recently shows a significant increase in both quantity and quality. In terms of overall potential in Bali (22,974 ha), most (20,840 ha) are located in 4 arabica coffee producer regencies, including: Bangli (12,589 ha); Karangasem (3,419 ha); Buleleng (3,400 ha) and Badung 1,413 ha. However, in its development until 2014 the potential area can only be realized as a community plantation of 9,780 ha covering 3 regencies such as: Bangli, Buleleng and Badung, so there is still a potential remaining 46.4% of Bali's potential as a whole. In terms of production quality, the three production centers have excellent taste quality (the test results are rated Very Good-Excelent by the score 7-8), so it is now known as Balinese coffee and classified having Geographical Indication with lemon flavor. Abstract

Policy of empowerment of the rural poor by involving the activ participation of all stakeholders, including women, is a comprehensive approach to the development of the creative economy in Bali. Karangasem regency is one of the districts with the largest number of poor people in the province of Bali. The purpose of this research is:  Identify the typologi of domestic industry (IRT). The research methodology using descriptive analysis method.The analysis showed the following matters: Propyl IRT is characterized by several components, namely; (A) the characteristics of businesses IRT dominated by women with an average age of 38.6 years, mostly housewives. (B) Based on IRT propyl clusters are grouped into: (1) Handicraft (woven palm, bamboo and coconut shells) some 70%; (2) Food and beverage industry (10%), (3) Industrial equipment ceremony (cymbals cider and offerings) by 7%; (4) Other industries (13%). (C) Based on the stage of development. The typologi business, namely (1) Industrial Business beginners (90%); (2) The business industry is growing (10%), and (3) advanced industrial enterprises (0%).

Abstract

ABSTRACT The result of comprehensiveness measurement performance of Agribusiness Sub Terminal (namely STA) by Balanced Scorecard techniques indicated that the individual of STA own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the efforts of improving customer values, processing product with good quality, build customer loyalty, and improve performance of STA financial. The diversify claim concrete effort to build synergism of business partnership to improve effective and efficiency of commodity system of food crop and horticulture. The Objectives of this research is to analyze competitiveness position of group and individual of STA, and formulate build synergy strategy of business partnership between STA in Bali Province. The research result indicate that the competitiveness position of group STA be at growth quadrant, while the competitiveness position of individual STA gone the round of the cell with fascination of middle business strength and industrial attractiveness. In the long run, the competitiveness position of individual STA expected reaching the cell with strong industrial attractiveness and business strength. Therefore, the repair of managerial quality were needed through effort of improvements of market share and quality of product continually, competitive price of product, and also improvement of human resource quality of each STA. According to matrix of synergy, the research shows that attainment of synergy between STA in this time still not yet adequate. In the future, the attainment of synergy between STA expected earn better, with interest settle cooperation between STA in the cases of marketing, operation, management and investment. Key words: To build synergy strategy, Agribusiness Sub Terminal ABSTRAK Hasil pengukuran kinerja STA yang komprehensif dengan Balanced Scorecard menunjukkan bahwa individu STA memiliki keunggulan, kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman sendiri-sendiri dalam upaya meningkatkan customer value, memproses produk yang berkualitas, memuaskan pelanggan, serta meningkatkan kinerja finansial STA. Keragaman tersebut menuntut upaya konkrit untuk membangun sinergisme kemitraan usaha guna meningkatkan efektifitas dan efisiensi sistem komoditas tanaman pangan dan hortikultura tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa posisi bersaing kelompok STA saat ini berada pada kuadran pertumbuhan (growth), sedangkan posisi bersaing individu STA tersebar pada sel dengan daya tarik industri dan kekuatan bisnis menengah. Dalam jangka panjang, posisi bersaing individu STA diharapkan dapat mencapai sel dengan daya tarik industi dan kekuatan bisnis yang kuat. Oleh karena itu, perbaikan kualitas manajerial dibutuhkan melalui upaya perbaikan pangsa pasar dan kualitas produk yang berkelanjutan, harga produk yang kompetitif serta perbaikan kualitas SDM masing-masing STA. Berdasarkan matriks sinergi pencapaian sinergi antar STA saat ini belum memadai dan pada masa yang akan datang pencapaian sinergi tersebut diharapkan akan lebih baik dengan lebih memantapkan kerjasama antar STA dalam hal pemasaran, operasi, manajemen, dan investasi. Abstract

ABSTRACT The system approach always looks for integrity among sectors through a whole understanding, therefore, a newer framework known as an approach of the system, is needed. This research is designed to find out variables, that solving the problems by identifying variables that has contextual relationship towards integrated market system, so that the model of the impact can be concluded. The result of study shows eight elements of the system that has been identified, they are: social sector, necessities of program, constraint, enables change, target of program, yardstick, and the activities required, and linked institution. Analysis of sub-element comparison resulting key variable, they are: farmer from business agent element; constructor of the agent, capital guarantee, and government support as the program requirement; risks distribution and inequitable profit as the constraint; guarantee of quality, quantity, cost, and market as the enable change; market share as target of the program; development of incentive system as the necessary activity; and all the linked institutions except the whole sale. From the discussion that is done by the expert, it can be synthesized five criteria of partnership patterns, they are: risk distribution and fair profit, extending job opportunity, increasing of farmer income, make-up of human resources skill and guarantee of quality, quantity, and continuity of production. It is therefore, SUB- KONTRAK was chosen as the priority of alternative partnership pattern that is most appropriate with the formed criteria. Key word: Structure System, Partnership, and Agribisnis Vegetables ABSTRAK Pemikiran sistem selalu mencari keterpaduan antar bagian melalui pemahaman yang utuh, maka diperlukan kerangka pikir baru yang dikenal sebagai pendekatan sistem. Pendekatan ini berupaya untuk menyelesaikan persoalan yang dimulai dari proses identifikasi sejumlah kebutuhan sehingga menghasilkan suatu operasi yang efektif. Hasil kajian terhadap struktur sistem diidentifikasi delapan elemen sistem yaitu : sektor masyarakat, kebutuhan program, kendala, perubahan yang dimungkinkan, tujuan program, tolak ukur, aktifitas yang dibutuhkan dan lembaga terkait. Analisis pembandingan antar sub-elemen diketahui peubah kunci berikut yaitu : petani dari elemen pelaku usaha, pembinaan pelaku, penjaminan modal dan dukungan pemerintah sebagai kebutuhan program, distribusi resiko dan keuntungan yang tidak adil sebagai kendala, jaminan kualitas, kuantitas dan pasar sebagai perubahan, pangsa pasar sebagai tujuan program serta tolak ukurnya adalah meningkatnya kualitas SDM. Dari hasil diskusi para ahli disintese lima kriteria pola kemitraan yaitu : distribusi resiko dan profit yang adil, memperluas kesempatan kerja, peningkatan pendapatan petani, peningkatan keahlian SDM dan jaminan kualitas, kuantitas serta kontinyuitas produksi, sehingga selanjutnya dipilih pola SUB-KONTRAK sebagai prioritas alternatif pola kemitraan yang paling sesuai dengan kriteria yang dibentuk. Abstract

Tebu merupakan bahan baku utama gula dalam industri gula di Indonesia. PG. Gempolkrep merupakan salah satu pabrik gula yang membutuhkan bahan baku tebu. Petani tebu di Kecamatan Jetis Kabupaten Mojokerto membutuhkan jaminan pasar, pembinaan, bantuan modal, dan sarana prasana produksi, sehingga kerjasama kemitraan merupakan upaya yang tepat untuk kedua belah pihak karena saling membutuhkan dan menguntungkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pola kemitraan, kontribusi kemitraan, penerimaan dan pendapatan petani, dan kendala kemitraan. Responden penelitian ini adalah petani mitra sebanyak 30 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode studi pustaka, studi dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola kemitraan agribisnis tebu antara PG. Gempolkrep dengan petani tebu adalah pola sub kontrak. Kontribusi kemitraan pada aspek ekonomi yaitu PG. Gempolkrep memberikan jaminan pasar, bantuan modal, dan bagi hasil, aspek teknis yaitu PG. Gempolkrep memberikan pembinaan dan petani tebu memberikan bahan baku, aspek sosial yaitu kedua belah pihak berusaha melakukan kerjasama sesuai kesepakatan, aspek lingkungan yaitu kedua belah pihak membatasi penggunaan bahan kimia. Penerimaan yang diterima petani sebesar Rp 327.031.898,70 dan keuntungan sebesar Rp 188.397.351,2 per luas lahan garapan 5,53 ha. kendala yang dihadapi yaitu kecurangan petani tebu, pencairan hasil lelang gula yang sering terlambat, jadwal penyerahan tebu yang diberikan tidak disertai volume, dan nota hasil produksi gula diberikan tidak terperinci.

Abstract

Purpose: By adopting an agriculture system that is in harmony with nature through an organic farming system approach, it is expected to produce commodities that are healthy and safe for consumption and have a higher economic value so that the two missions can be achieved in the future. Research methods: Research on identifying the potential and development of organic farming systems towards Bali organic islands had been carried out in all regencies and cities in Bali Province on May - December 2019. The research was conducted through a field survey and the results were agreed through FGD with stakeholders. Findings: Development of organic farming systems potentially carried out in almost all districts in Bali except in Klungkung Regency and Denpasar City. Implications: The innovation result of this research is the online, integrated, compact, lightweight, and easy to operate organic database system for Bali Province.

Abstract

Welfare Level of Fishermen in Kusamba Village, Dawan District, Klungkung Regency. Seeing the low level of welfare caused by the low income of fishermen and still open opportunities to increase marine fishery production in Kusamba Village. The method of analysis is quantitative and qualitative. Data collection was done by interview, observation, documentation and literature study methods. Respondents amounted to 31 people taken from three groups of fishermen. The variables in this study are income and the level of welfare with the indicators used are income, expenditure and consumption patterns, health, education, employment and housing. The result of this research is the cash cost of capture fisheries business is Rp 39.382.788.39/year and the total income is Rp 38.465.578.71/year or Rp 3.205.464.89/month. The results for the welfare level of capture fisheries fishermen are in the moderately prosperous category with a score of 2,346. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended to increase the role of the government in terms of empowerment, providing facilities to the community in the form of agribusiness development facilities such as market information, increasing market access, capital and developing partnerships with other business institutions.

Abstract

Factors Affecting the Production of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa var.crispa L) in Baturiti Village, Baturiti District, Tabanan Regency. Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L) is a horticultural commodity that has high economic value. Lettuce can grow well if planted in an environment that suits its variety. Baturiti District is known as a lettuce-producer region. However, lettuce production has fluctuated due to inefficiency problems that are related with production inputs. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the lettuce production and the allocative efficiency to determine whether the use of production input factors is efficient or not in terms of price. The research was conducted in Baturiti Village by analyzing production factors such as arable land, seeds, manure, liquid pesticides, and labor using the Cobb-Douglass production function. Analysis was conducted by using data from the September to November 2019 planting season. The result shows that production factors such as arable land, manure and pesticides have a significant effect on lettuce production. The factors of seed production and labor do not have a significant effect on lettuce production. The use of manure and liquid pesticides is not efficient yet and must be added. The addition must meet the principles of “five right” for manure and “six right” for liquid pesticides in order to produce maximum profit.
