Abstract

Monitoring and Evaluation of Landuse Changes based on Remote Sensing in Klungkung District, Klungkung Regency. Bali Province is one of the tourism destinations in Indonesia, the tourist destinations, offered include beauty of nature, art, culture traditions, and historical buildings one of them is in the Klungkung District such as Kertagosa, Gunarsa Museum the Klungkung Monument. Klungkung District has a large population that a 65,273 people, which can changes in landuse, therefore the research about monitoring and evaluation of landuse change in Klungkung district is needed. The purposes of this research are to determine landuse changes in Klungkung District, the level of accuracy of the classification result of Landsat imagery in 2022, and the relation between classified land use map and spatial planning of Klungkung Regency. The method which is used in this research is the maksimum likehood classification (MLC) in the land use supervised classification. Digital classification for landuse landcover were analyst using semi-automatic classification plugin (SCP) in QGIS 3.22 LTR Apps. The result shows that, it was found that built-up land has a regularity of change of 28,155 ha/yr, rice fields with a regularity of change of 50.5 ha/yr, bare land with an area of 16.88 ha/yr, and dryland farming with a regularity of change reaching 61.7 ha/yr. The overall accuracy of this research was 82.42 % and a kappa index 0.75. The overlay by spatial planning was found that there was a discrepancy the land use in 2022.

Abstract

Monitoring The Conversion of Rice Fields and Mapping The Status of Farmers in Subak Kerdung and Subak Cuculan, Denpasar City. Subak Kerdung and Subak Cuculan are subaks that are included in the Green Open Space area of ??Denpasar City. The designation of this two subak as an open space areas for Denpasar City does not reduce the land conversion level. Therefore, it is necessary to have more protection by determining the area for Sustainable Food Agricultural Land (SFAL). Based on Government Regulation No. 25 of 2012, the preparation of SFAL needs to be equipped with a database, some of which are data on human resources and farmer status. This study aims to create a map of land-use change (2012-2021), a map of the distribution pattern of farmer status, and a human resources database. This study uses image analysis methods as well as surveys and mapping. The research stages include literature study, interpretation of satellite imagery, field surveys, image reinterpretation, and mapping and preparation of information systems. The results showed that for nine years, there was a conversion of 66.61 ha in Subak Kerdung and 22.62 ha in Subak Cuculan. The number of farmers in Subak Kerdung is 133 people, 121 people are sharecroppers with a total land area of ??93.2 (91.75%), and 18 people are owner farmers with a total land area of ??8.47 ha (8.25%). The number of farmers in Subak Cuculan was 24 people; 22 were sharecroppers with a total land area of ??7.43 ha (84.24%). Owner farmers opened two people with a total arable area of ??1.39 ha (15.76%). Farmers in Subak Kerdung and Subak Cuculan dominate the productive age (31-60 years). The average size of land cultivated by farmers in Subak Kerdung is 0.76 ha/person, and in Subak Cuculan is 0.36 ha/person. The results of this study are expected to be used by the Denpasar city government as a basis for evaluating and enforcing the law and as a reference for determining SFAL in Subak Kerdung and Subak Cuculan.

Abstract

South Denpasar District has an elevation of 0–12 meters above sea level and is categorized as a lowland area, making it prone to flood disasters. Flooding can cause damage and economic losses, particularly in the agricultural sector on subak lands. This study aims to calculate the potential damage and losses in subak land use in South Denpasar. The methods used include the Topographic Wetness Index (TWI) to analyze flood and damage potential, as well as field surveys for validation and loss estimation. The data used include DEM SRTM data, the Indonesian Topographic Map (RBI), the subak boundary map of South Denpasar District, and satellite imagery from Google Satellite. Data from the Department of Agriculture include subak area data. Data from the Agricultural Extension Center (BPP) and subak heads (pekaseh) include data on the cost components of subak production per hectare. Data from the Department of Public Works, Water Resources Division, include subak irrigation data and the cost components for constructing concrete irrigation channels per meter. The results show that subak land in South Denpasar has high damage potential covering 91,732 ha (20,48%), medium damage potential at 133,548 ha (29,81%), and low or no damage at 222,701 ha (49,71%). Areas with the largest subak damage potential are Subak Kerdung and Subak Kepaon. The potential damage to subak irrigation networks is classified as high 974,07 m (8,00%), medium 4.107,12 m (33,71%), and low or none 7.101,99 m (58,29%). The longest irrigation damage potentials are found in Subak Kerdung and Subak Intaran Barat. The total estimated subak loss in South Denpasar District is calculated by summing the losses from high and medium damage potential for each variable. The estimated loss for subak production is IDR 1,564,288,000, while the irrigation loss is IDR 1,496,626,727, resulting in a total potential loss of IDR 3,060,914,727. The highest losses are found in Subak Kerdung and Subak Kepaon. Policy recommendations include strengthening irrigation infrastructure, disaster mitigation training, and preserving the subak system through land conservation.
