Abstract

The new trade theory shows the interaction between capital intensity, reflects the comparative advantages of a country as well as the industrial structure, and international capital flows. One main proposition stated if a country has high capital intensity in their industrial structure, and changes tends to be capital intensive, foreign capital will flow into the country because the domestic savings position become lower than investment needs. It can explain why international capital flows from developing countries to the developed countries that are relatively rich in capital. This study attempted to examine the consistency and reliability of the theory in the context of Indonesia. The important thing here is the existence of different viewpoints in assessing the phenomenon of the current account balance. The model used is the restricted error correction mechanism in Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ECM-ARDL) approach. The result indicates that both industrial structure and demographic pattern are affecting Indonesian current account significantly. Specifically, capital intensity negatively affects Indonesian current account. This indicates the higher capital intensity, which means the greater tendency to capital-intensive industry structure, leads to higher current account deficit. The analysis also highlights the importance of demographic pattern in determines Indonesian current account through their impact to savings – investment position.

Abstract

The manufacturing sector plays a crucial role in supporting a country's economic growth. Many countries view this sector as a primary driver of economic development due to its significant advantages compared to other sectors. For this reason, industrialization strategies are often employed to achieve societal well-being. One example is the textile industry in the Bali Province, which holds substantial potential and ranks third highest in each district. The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of capital, labor, and technology on textile industry production in Denpasar City. The study utilizes both primary and secondary data. It will involve the participation of 90 respondents as samples, using the Proporsionate Stratified Random Sampling approach, drawn from a population of 983 entrepreneurs operating in the textile industry sector in Denpasar City. Multiple linear regression analysis will be employed. The findings of this study indicate that capital, labor, and technology collectively have a significant impact on production within the textile industry sector in Denpasar City. Additionally, individually, capital, labor, and technology also make positive and significant contributions to textile industry production in the region. These findings reinforce the hypothesis that capital, labor, and technology variables play a crucial role in influencing production. Keywords: capital, labor, technology, production

Abstract

Hand-woven ikat fabrics made in Bali, such as endek, are generally of good quality and are traded at relatively high prices in the market. However, now more and more woven products similar to Balinese endek are made outside Bali and sold at relatively lower market prices than authentic Balinese endek. When people choose non-balinese endec fabrics, it inevitably reduces the income of genuine Balinese endec weavers as the original Balinese artisans quit their jobs. This in turn will affect production, which will continue to decline. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression. Research results show that capital, labor force and business period simultaneously have a great impact on the production of endek fabric in Bali. Capital, labor force and duration of business also partially affect the production of endek cloth in Bali. The conclusion of this study is that an increase in capital by Endek Stov entrepreneurs leads to an increase in production. As the labor force increases, so does the resulting output. This is consistent with the Cobb-Douglas theory that capital and labor affect output. Bringing in more capital will increase production, sell more products, and ultimately increase your income. keyword: lorem Capital, Employ, Duration of the Business, Production Endek Fabric

This research uses secondary data from 2017-2022 obtained from BP2MI and BPS. The data collected was then analyzed using panel data regression techniques. The results of the study show that poverty has a positive and significant effect on the number of cruise ship migrant workers from the Province of Bali. The UMK has a negative and insignificant effect on the number of cruise ship migrant workers from the Province of Bali. The level of education has a negative and insignificant effect on the number of cruise ship migrant workers from the Province of Bali. Abstract

Rubber makes a major contribution as a source of trade in empowering financial development in Indonesia. This research was conducted to analyze the factors that influence the volume of Indonesian natural rubber exports to the international market, namely international natural rubber prices, the US Dollar exchange rate, Indonesian natural rubber production, and the area of Indonesian natural rubber land as well as the structure of the Indonesian rubber market. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis methods with the E-Views tool. The source of information in this examination is additional information involving time series information for 33 years for each variable from 1990 to 2022. The results of this research state that the structure of the Indonesian rubber market is oligopsonistic. The international price of Indonesian natural rubber, the US dollar exchange rate, the amount of Indonesian natural rubber production, and the area of Indonesian natural rubber land simultaneously influence the volume of Indonesian natural rubber exports to the international market. The amount of production has a positive and significant effect, while the international price of natural rubber in the US Dollar exchange rate and land area has a negative but not significant effect on the volume of natural rubber exports. keyword: Exports, Rubber, price, exchange rate, production, land area

Abstract

The role of women is very essential for the continuity of development, because they are able to support increasing social and economic capacity in society. This research uses variables, namely working capital, working hours, length of business and education and income level. This research aims to analyze the simultaneous and partial influence of working capital, working hours, length of business and level of education on the income level of women clothing traders at the Tabanan Main Market. The sample size in this study used a saturated sample with the sample data reaching 98 women who work as clothing traders. In carrying out the sample determination process, the researchers applied a non-probability sampling technique using saturated sampling. The methods used in data collection activities include observation activities, structured interviews and also conducting in-depth interviews. In this research, data techniques have been used in the form of descriptive analysis and also multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the research results found, the variables of working capital, working hours, length of business and education simultaneously have a significant effect on the income of women clothing traders at the Tabanan Main Market. The variables working capital, working hours, length of business and education partially have a positive and significant effect on the income of women clothing traders at Tabanan Main Market.
