Abstract

This research is focused on investigating the public relations planning in building a private university branding during the COVID-19 pandemic. University branding is a strategic effort in strengthening the identity of the institution. In practice, branding can be done in various ways, such as by utilizing information technology. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the frequency of using internet-based media increased dramatically. The phenomenon that occurs in public relations during a pandemic is the changing pattern of media publications, from conventional media and internet-based media to internet-based media. The phenomenon changed the public relations management structure in building university branding and the lack of maximum branding achievements that have been set in the previous program before the pandemic. The concept of public relations management in universities establishes theoretical principles in formulating and implementing public relations management to build university branding. Referring to the management theory of George R. Terry who stated that the management is carried out based on the main points of the formulation of organizational goals (Riinawati, 2019). The implementation of university branding in the current pandemic situation and conditions must not be outside the corridor of management functions. This study aimed to find out how to plan university branding during the pandemic. Based on the results of the research on public relations planning in building the branding of private universities during the pandemic, the implementation process of public relations management planning has not been formulated in a standardized manner so that it cannot improve public relations performance during a pandemic in a timely manner. This has an impact on achievement that is not optimal. In order for the university's public relations performance to increase and the implementation of university public relations management to improve the brand, and provide the expected feedback, the university's public relations planner needs to reformulate the university's public relations management structure. The right formulation of the results of this research is a planning model that involves information technology as a domain of digitization in public relations management. The current technology involvement is expected to improve the university's branding performance during the pandemic. More specifically, public relations management planning in building private university branding during the pandemic needs to develop systematic and strategic steps that refer to the rules of planning function in public relations management to be able to improve the university branding process. The preparation of the branding plan in the form of an activity program does not include: creative content adapted to current conditions, human resource development planning and public relations support facilities such as training on the use of information technology for public relations staff. Procurement of computer equipment, property for making videos and making information technology studios.

Abstract

His research addresses privacy challenges in the use of educational technology, especially AI and e-learning. The goal is to understand the concept of privacy, educational technology, and related privacy challenges. The literature review method was used to analyze this topic. The results of the study show that the use of educational technology has an impact on user privacy, particularly in the dissemination of personal data, data identification and security, handling of children's data, and data security breaches. The current privacy policy is still limited and there are many challenges that need to be faced, especially in the use of AI and e-learning. Privacy challenges in e-learning include data collection, use of algorithms, and data security breaches. The use of AI also raises privacy challenges, such as facial identification and automated decision making

Abstract

Pembelajaran jarak jauh telah menjadi alternatif yang signifikan dalam konteks pendidikan modern, terutama di masa pandemi saat ini. Dalam upaya meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran jarak jauh, penggunaan platform e-learning berbasis cloud computing telah muncul sebagai solusi yang menjanjikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan platform e-learning berbasis cloud computing dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran jarak jauh serta mengkaji dampaknya terhadap keterlibatan siswa. Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan platform e-learning berbasis cloud computing memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran jarak jauh. Platform ini memungkinkan siswa untuk mengakses materi pembelajaran secara fleksibel dan berinteraksi dengan sesama siswa dan pendidik, meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu, platform e-learning berbasis cloud computing memfasilitasi pemantauan dan evaluasi pembelajaran yang efektif. Pendidik dapat melacak kemajuan siswa secara individual, memberikan umpan balik yang tepat waktu, dan menyelaraskan strategi pembelajaran berdasarkan kebutuhan siswa. Hal ini memungkinkan adanya pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih personal dan adaptif. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami potensi dan manfaat pemanfaatan platform e-learning berbasis cloud computing dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan perlunya integrasi platform e-learning berbasis cloud computing dalam praktik pembelajaran jarak jauh, dengan memperhatikan infrastruktur teknologi yang memadai, pelatihan bagi pendidik dan siswa, serta pemantauan yang berkelanjutan terhadap efektivitas penggunaannya. Dengan demikian, penggunaan platform e-learning berbasis cloud computing dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran jarak jauh, mendorong keterlibatan siswa, dan memfasilitasi pemantauan serta evaluasi pembelajaran. Abstract

This research aims to investigate the importance of the empowering aspects of digital literacy in education policy to support young people's readiness for the digital age. Utilizing a structured approach, this research conducted a deep analysis of the relevant literature and presented data and findings that support the argument. The literature review highlights the concept of digital literacy, its impact on everyday life, and the need for integration into the education system. Abstract

Dalam konteks pendidikan di sekolah menengah, evaluasi pembelajaran memainkan peran penting dalam mengukur pencapaian kompetensi siswa dan efektivitas metode pengajaran. Meskipun telah ada berbagai pendekatan evaluasi yang digunakan, implementasi kecerdasan buatan/Artificial intelligence (AI) menawarkan potensi baru untuk meningkatkan proses evaluasi tersebut. Artikel ini menyajikan tinjauan terhadap potensi dan tantangan penerapan kecerdasan buatan dalam evaluasi pembelajaran di sekolah menengah. Dengan menganalisis kajian literatur yang relevan, metode penelitian, hasil penelitian, dan pemikiran diskursif, artikel ini menggambarkan peran AI dalam meningkatkan efisiensi, obyektivitas, dan kedalaman analisis evaluasi pembelajaran. Penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya menyoroti berbagai pendekatan AI yang telah diterapkan, termasuk penggunaan algoritma pembelajaran mesin untuk menilai kinerja siswa dan menyediakan umpan balik yang personal. Namun, tantangan seperti ketersediaan infrastruktur teknologi, perbedaan dalam pemahaman konsep AI di antara para pendidik, dan kekhawatiran etis perlu diatasi agar implementasi AI dalam evaluasi pembelajaran menjadi berhasil. Dengan memahami potensi dan tantangan ini, artikel ini menyimpulkan dengan merekomendasikan langkah-langkah strategis untuk menerapkan kecerdasan buatan secara efektif dalam konteks evaluasi pembelajaran di sekolah menengah. Abstract

This training focuses on applying digital technology in student organizations' administrative and financial management, aiming to enhance efficiency, transparency, and collaboration within organizational management. The critical concepts explored include digitalization, particularly the utilization of Google Drive and Google Sheets, and their impact on the quality of organizational governance. The study employs a focused discussion method, engaging 20 administrators from UKM BESIK's at Wiralodra University for the 2024-2025 academic year during a training session held on October 16, 2024. The results indicate that digitalization enhances the effectiveness of financial and document management and strengthens coordination and accountability. These findings hold significant implications for other student organizations seeking to develop a technology-based management system that fosters a more transparent and professional organizational culture

Abstract

Student privacy is a major concern in the digital era, especially with the increasing use of educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and IoT devices. Traditional authentication systems are considered inadequate in the face of complex security threats. Therefore, this study evaluates the effectiveness of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in protecting student privacy in an educational environment. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design based on 86 relevant articles selected from Scopus indexed journals (2020–2024). The articles were analyzed thematically using PRISMA Flow Diagram to identify patterns, trends, and gaps related to MFA implementation. The findings show that MFA can improve student privacy protection by reducing the risk of data leaks by up to 80%, lowering unauthorized access, and increasing user trust. Key technologies include biometrics, OTP, and blockchain, which have proven to be effective in improving security. However, MFA implementation faces obstacles such as cost, system complexity, and biometric data privacy concerns. This research makes an important contribution to academic literature and educational data security practices. Recommendations for further research include the exploration of behavior-based authentication methods, studies on user perception, and the implementation of MFA in educational environments with limited infrastructure. The practical implications include strengthening technology security policies in educational institutions and educating users to raise awareness of the importance of data privacy protection. Abstract

This study explores the use of AI as a formative evaluation tool for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students' reading comprehension in the digital age. AI is a crucial technology in education that enhances teaching and learning processes. Formative assessment helps students develop their abilities and skills, while summative evaluations measure performance. AI can be used to test students' reading comprehension using smartphone apps like Novel Applications, Sports and Podcasts, and Netflix. The research aims to help teachers use AI auto-generation as a formative evaluation tool, outlining its benefits and drawbacks. It also suggests that readers should use Formative Apps to measure students' reading comprehension in the digital age to assist teachers.

Abstract

This study examines the utilization of Google Translate as an AI-assisted translation tool by Indonesian vocational high school students in English as a Foreign Language classes. The primary objective was to assess students' perceptions of Google Translate’s efficacy in enhancing their English skills and whether it should supplement or replace traditional teaching methods. Data were collected from a sample of vocational students using a survey approach to assess the tool’s perceived benefits and its frequency and purpose of use. The findings indicate that students often utilize Google Translate to enhance their vocabulary, comprehend challenging material, and verify their grammar, which many assert contributes to increased confidence in speaking English. There were mixed insights into its impact on self-directed learning and enhanced language engagement, with some students utilizing the technology excessively. These results indicate that Google Translate is a valuable tool; nevertheless, educators may need to limit its usage to balance language practice and critical thinking. Future research may investigate the impact of AI translation on specific language skills and its influence on the retention of language proficiency over time. This study enhances the growing research on AI-assisted language learning technologies and their impact on EFL instruction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang model keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan dalam pengambilan keputusan kebijakan pendidikan melalui pendekatan kajian literatur kritis. Pengumpulan data fokus pada literatur yang bereputasi scopus. Hasil dari analisis terhadap lima artikel utama yang mengungkapkan bahwa keterlibatan stakeholders yang bersifat transformatif, terstruktur secara multi-level, dan berbasis bukti kontekstual menjadi faktor kunci dalam meningkatkan legitimasi dan efektivitas kebijakan. Model Transformative Stakeholder Engagement Framework (TSEF) yang diusulkan dalam studi ini mengintegrasikan prinsip kolaborasi substantif, tata kelola multi-level, berdasarkan data empiris lokal dengan mempertimbangkan prinsip keadilan sosial. Model ini menawarkan pendekatan partisipatif yang adaptif terhadap dinamika sosial serta mampu menjawab kebutuhan dalam penyusunan kebijakan pendidikan yang lebih inklusif dan berkelanjutan. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian mendatang adalah menguji penerapan TSEF di berbagai konteks lokal Indonesia melalui studi lapangan berbasis metode campuran. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya wacana akademik dan memberikan kontribusi praktis dalam pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan di Indonesia.
