Abstract

Study habit (attending lectures, reading books, visiting library, and facing examination) plays an important role in determining academic achievement. The objectives of this study were to analyze the correlation between study habits and academic achievement and analyze the indicators that were most significantly correlated with students’ academic achievement. The study was conducted at the Biology Department of FMIPA UNNES in February - March 2018. The sample of respondents consisted of students of the Biology Department of academic years 2014, 2015 and 2016. A total of 308 students were taken as the sample using proportional stratified random sampling technique. The data was taken using a questionnaire instrument and analyzed using the path analysis method assisted by SmartPLS. The results of the data analysis showed that the indicators of study habit have a significant correlation to the students’ academic achievement of Biology Department. The correlation coefficient values of study habit indicators from high to low were reading books, attending lectures, facing exams, and visiting the library. This study showed that the habit of reading books had the most significant correlation. It is suggested to conduct the experimental research which is related to the effectiveness of reading habit.

Abstract

Kesadaran dan kepedulian lingkungan harus ditanamkan ke masyarakat sejak usia dini, salah satunya melalui pendidikan konservasi. Anak usia dini masih sangat sensitif secara psikologi, sehingga pembentukan sikap dan karakter sangat tepat dimulai pada usia ini. Dalam pembelajaran pendidikan konservasi, sumber belajar yang dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif adalah lingkungan di sekitar sekolah atau lingkungan di sekitar tempat tinggal siswa. Pemanfaatan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar dengan melakukan jelajah alam sekitar (JAS) diharapkan mampu memberikan pengalaman belajar yang konkret karena dapat mengamati langsung objek yang dipelajari. Tahapan kegiatan yang sudah dilakukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pengenalan materi pendidikan konservasi kepada guru dan siswa, pembelajaran pendidikan konservasi dengan memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah menggunakan pendekatan JAS, pendampingan dan penyusunan modul pendidikankonservasi am:“Eksplorasi Panduan LapanganAl bagi.Rencana selanjutnya Penjelajah adalah pendampingan secara berkelanjutan terhadap SD di Kelurahan Sekaran dan sekolah lain dalam skala yang lebih luas.

Abstract

This research purposes to know students activity and learning result in the application of Role Playing in the digestive system material. The study used Pre- Experimental One-Shot Case Study design. The population of the study is all students of grade VIII of SMP N 4 Geyer. The sample of the study is VIII B and VIII E and use Simple Random Sampling method to choose the sample. The observation results of the students’ activity from both classes are 91.7% and 88.5% with good and very good category. The learning outcomes on knowledge and skill aspects from both classes are 95.8% and 88.4% students are included in good and very good category. The classical completeness is 95.8% and 92.3%. The teacher and students’ response show positive respond toward the applied learning method.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh positif pembelajaran model project based learning (PjBL) materi sistem ekskresi manusia terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Experimental dengan desain nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Hasil belajar siswa diperoleh dari tes tertulis, keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan lembar observasi, tanggapan siswa diperoleh dari lembar angket, dan tanggapan guru diperoleh dari lembar wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang sangat signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil tersebut ditunjukkan oleh rerata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol dan pencapaian ketuntasan belajar klasikal kelas eksperimen yang juga lebih tinggi (81%) dibanding kelas kontrol (31%). Siswa dan guru memberikan tanggapan sangat baik terhadap model pembelajaran PjBL yang diterapkan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pembelajaran model PjBL materi sistem ekskresi yang diterapkan berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa. This study aimed to determine the positive influence of Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model which is taught in excretory system concept to student learning outcomes. This study was Quasi Experimental with nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Student learning outcomes were obtained from written tests, learning activity by observation sheet, student responses from questionnaire sheets, and teacher’s responses from questionnaires. The results showed that there were very significant differences in learning outcomes between experimental and control class. These results showed by the average of experiment class posttest score which was higher than control class and by classical mastery learning achievement of experimental class which was also higher (81%) compared to the control group (31%). Students and teachers responded very well to the applied learning model. Based on the results, Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model in excretory system concept positively affected student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning of class X MA Al Asror students in biology teaching and learning activities with ARCS learning. The sample which is used is class X MIA 1 and it is determined by simple random sampling. The results of the t-test on the scores of students' learning motivation obtained sig. value of 0,000 < 0,05, r value is 0,774, and calculated t value is -16,658 which shows that there is a difference between students’ learning motivation in non-ARCS learning and students’ learning motivation in ARCS learning and there is a relationship between ARCS learning and students' learning motivation with the contribution of 60%. The increase in students’ learning motivation is analyzed by N-gain test with the average N-gain score of 0.39. The classical completeness in non-ARCS learning is 0% while in ARCS learning is 66.67%. The result of multiple correlation of learning motivation and student performance on learning outcomes show r2 of 0.241.

Abstract

Tumbuhan pada lantai hutan merupakan tumbuhan yang hidup di bawah tegakan hutan yang meliputi semak, perdu, herba, dan paku-pakuan. Kehadiran komunitas tumbuhan tersebut pada suatu landskap akan memberikan dampak positif bagi keseimbangan ekosistem dalam skala yang lebih luas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisi struktur dan komposisi komunitas tumbuhan lantai hutan jati di kawasan Resort Pemangkuan Hutan (RPH) Bogorejo Blora serta mendeskripsikan hubungan komunitas tumbuhan tersebut dengan faktor lingkungannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa spesies yang memiliki Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) tertinggi adalah Eulalia amaura (30,2%) yang termasuk famili Poaceae sedangkan indeks keanekaragaman tumbuhan lantai hutan jati di kawasan RPH Bogorejo sebesar 3,4. Komposisi tumbuhan lantai hutan meliputi 48 jenis yang terdiri dari 24 famili. Dari hasil analisis ordinasi diketahui bahwa sebaran stand penelitian mengelompok menjadi tiga bagian sesuai dengan pembagian area yang dilakukan. Hasil superimpose menunjukkan bahwa faktor intensitas cahaya merupakan faktor yang menentukan pengelompokkan komunitas dari seluruh stand yang dipelajari. Untuk menyediakan data dasar secara lengkap, perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai vegetasi tumbuhan lantai hutan jati secara periodik sepanjang tahun. Plants on the forest floor is a plant that lives under forest stands covering bushes, shrubs, herbs and ferns. The presence of the plant communities in a landscape will have a positive impact for the balance of the ecosystem within a larger scale. This study aims to determine the structure and composition of plant communities in the area of teak forest floor Forestry Resort (FR) Bogorejo Blora and to describe the relationship of the plant community with environmental factors. The results showed that the species had the highest Important Value Index (IVI) of teak forest floor is Eulalia amaura which includes family Poaceae (30.2%) while the index plant diversity in the region RPH Bogorejo of 3.4. The composition of the forest floor vegetation includes 48 species consisting of 24 families. From analysis ordinated research note that the distribution stand grouped into three sections according to the division of the area. The result of superimpose showed that the light intensity factor is a factor that determines the classification of the entire stands studied. To provide the completeness of the basic data, it is necessary to conduct further research on teak forest floor vegetation periodically throughout the year.

Abstract

Karimunjawa National Park has several types of ecosystems that hold high biodiversity potential and have not been fully recorded. Karimunjawa National Park is the habitat of flora and fauna including butterflies there. The objective of the research was the diversity of butterfly species in Karimunjawa Island. The study was conducted on August-September 2017. The method of the research using Point Count method. Data analysis using diversity index, evenness index, dominance index, and similarity index. The results showed that the index of diversity (H') of butterfly community on Karimunjawa Island has value (2.95), it indicates that the condition of the butterfly community is stable. The result of the Eveness Index obtained a high yield E = 0.76, it shows that the individual distribution of each type of butterfly on Karimunjawa Island is evenly distributed. The result of the dominant Index shows a low value (0.10), thus no dominance is concentrated on a particular type of butterfly. Analysis of similarity index of species in all habitats observed obtained results IS= 53-73%, this shows that in the three habitats observed can be inhabited by almost all butterfly species and Has an equally important role as a community of butterflies in Karimunjawa Island.
