Abstract

Sebagai daerah di mana masyarakatnya saat berpergian lebih memilih menggunakan kendaraan pribadi, Kecamatan Periuk membutuhkan suatu moda transportasi umum untuk mendukung aktivitas penduduknya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis jangkauan pelayanan Angkutan Kota Si Benteng trayek AP.1-03 di Kecamatan Periuk. Metode analisis yang digunakan antara lain konsep Neightborhood Unit, analisis GIS dan analisis kependudukan. Diketahui bahwa jangkauan pelayanan Angkutan Kota Si Benteng, belum mencakup seluruh kelurahan yang ada di Kecamatan Periuk. Kelurahan Periuk Jaya yang mempunyai kepadatan penduduk 7718 Penduduk/KM2 dan luas 23,87% dari luas wilayah Kecamatan Periuk, belum terlayani. Demikian pula, baru 79.634 jiwa atau setara 56% dari total penduduk Kecamatan Periuk yang tercover oleh Angkutan Kota Si Benteng. Maka rencana rute baru Angkutan Kota Si Benteng trayek AP.1-03, diperkirakan akan meningkatkan total penduduk tercover menjadi 67%. Sehingga rencana tersebut perlu direalisasi. Masih diperlukan penelitian lanjutan untuk mengetahui tingkat aksessibilitas di Kecamatan Periuk terhadap ketersediaan Angkutan Kota Si Benteng trayek AP.1-03, sehingga penyediaan angkutan umum ini dapat lebih optimal

Abstract

Hydroponic farming is a method of cultivating plants without soil, using alternative growing media, such as rockwool, combined with nutrient-rich solutions. This environmentally friendly method requires minimal land and can be implemented at low cost by utilizing recycled materials. In a campus setting, hydroponics has the potential to support environmental greening, enhance workplace comfort, and produce healthy, economically valuable crops. This approach aligns with the principles of sustainable development and the growing trend of urban farming in metropolitan areas. This community engagement program was conducted at the Center for Population and Policy Studies, Universitas Gadjah Mada (PSKK UGM), to enhance the knowledge and skills of the academic community in hydroponic agriculture. The program included awareness sessions, hands-on training, and mentoring in hydroponic gardening using a participatory approach. Beyond serving as an educational platform, the program aimed to promote healthy lifestyles, raise environmental awareness, and foster a balance between digital activities and interaction with nature. The results indicated increased interest and participation among campus residents in hydroponic practices. Participants reported feeling more comfortable in a greener campus environment and expressed enthusiasm to develop independent hydroponic gardens. This program is expected to serve as a practical model for implementing eco-friendly agriculture in higher education environments.

Abstract

Changes in the structure of urban space will affect movement patterns, ultimately burdening the existing road network in an area. Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) is an analysis of the influence of land-use development on the system of traffic flow movement around the development; this is caused by the emergence of new traffic, shifting traffic, and vehicles coming in and out of or to the development land. The construction of Pasar Ngablak can have a new traffic impact and increase the traffic load around the market, disrupting traffic links that can reduce the level of road services. This study aims to analyze the impact of market development activities that are useful to minimize traffic impact and provide appropriate recommendations. The research method used was the approach of the 1997 Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI, 1997), with the results of the delay value and degree of saturation. The results of the delay value and degree of saturation are used to see the existing conditions and during operation. However, predictions for the next 5 (five) years after development need to be watched out for and given appropriate recommendations because there is an increase in traffic movement around the market

Abstract

Industrial development is closely linked to regional growth. Since 2014, Jepara Regency has experienced significant growth in labor-intensive industries. This expansion has been driven by the availability of vast land and relatively lower minimum wages compared to other regions in Banten and West Java Provinces, attracting foreign investors to the area. This investment growth is evident from the emergence of various labor-intensive industries in Batealit, Pecangaan, and Mayong Districts. This study aims to analyze the social, economic, and environmental impacts of labor-intensive industry development in Jepara Regency. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring the industry's effects on the community using the Likert scale method and quantitative descriptive analysis. The research employed random sampling with 100 respondents from Mayong and Pecangaan Districts, conducted over six months, from July to December 2023. The industrial sector has led to changes in lifestyle and social values, increased income and community welfare, and environmental pollution, including air, water, and soil contamination due to industrial waste. Therefore, while labor-intensive industries contribute to economic benefits, proper management is essential to mitigate negative impacts and maximize benefits for both the community and the environment.

Abstract

Palu is located in the Sulawesi most active fault, with an annual movement of about 7 cm. The epicenter was located near Donggala, with tremors felt in various regions, including North and East Kalimantan. The earthquake had an energy release of approximately 2.5 × 10^20 Nm, equivalent to 200 times the power of the Hiroshima bombing. This presents an interesting subject for studying how to develop a good and accessible disaster mitigation system by utilizing the available information technology today, where disaster information can be easily accessed and synchronized with existing disaster management systems to reduce the impact of earthquake disasters. This research aims to analyze earthquake disaster risks and develop a mitigation model through a spatial analysis approach using Geographic Information System (GIS). The methods employed include analyzing disaster risks by utilizing Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data, road data, and overlaying images with earthquake damage distribution. Additionally, qualitative analysis in the form of disaster management and mitigation analysis is conducted. The data obtained is used to design evacuation routes and determine post-earthquake shelter locations. The results of this research provide a better understanding of disaster vulnerability in the studied areas. Through the developed mitigation model, this research contributes to identifying effective mitigation strategies. The designed evacuation routes and post-earthquake shelter locations provide crucial information for emergency response planning. Furthermore, the analysis results are presented in the form of a WebGIS accessible through a website, enabling easy access to information by the general public

Abstract

Wilayah Playen, Kabupaten Gunungkidul, merupakan kawasan dengan karakteristik kerawanan bencana yang cukup tinggi, khususnya gempa bumi dan bencana hidrometeorologis. Kelompok anak-anak pada lembaga sosial seperti panti asuhan termasuk kategori rentan karena keterbatasan akses informasi, pengalaman kebencanaan, serta belum tersedianya sistem mitigasi internal yang memadai. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi kebencanaan, pengetahuan mitigasi, dan kesiapsiagaan anak-anak serta pengasuh Panti Asuhan Islam (PAI) Playen melalui pendekatan edukasi partisipatif berbasis simulasi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi observasi awal, identifikasi risiko, penyusunan modul edukasi ramah anak, pelatihan interaktif, simulasi evakuasi, serta evaluasi pra–pasca kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan rata-rata sebesar 21,6%, terbentuknya SOP evakuasi sederhana, pemasangan denah jalur evakuasi, serta peningkatan kepercayaan diri peserta dalam merespons situasi darurat. Pendekatan partisipatif terbukti efektif dalam membangun pemahaman risiko dan respons adaptif terhadap potensi bencana di lingkungan panti.
