Abstract

This research aims to implement the Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction (ARIAS) learning model in the experimental class in the poetry writing ability of class X students at Al-Junaediyah IT Vocational School. The samples taken by researchers used cluster random sampling. The method used is quantitative experimentation in order to examine the effect of a treatment on the symptoms of a group and can be compared with other groups given different treatments. Meanwhile, the data collection used by researchers, apart from collecting poetry writing test results in the pretest (initial test) and posttest (final test), also took observation data through observation sheets as student observations during the learning process and documentation in the form of photos or drawings. in the classroom environment. The results of this research show a significant effect, seen from the final average data that the experimental class got 84.83 and the control class got 66.03. Thus, the final results show significant differences between classes that were given treatment and those that were not given treatment. Apart from that, the hypothesis results also show significance where H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Because 0.00 < 0.05, which means that if the Sig (2-tailed) value < 0.05, then there is a difference between learning outcomes in the control class and the experimental class, and if the Sig (2-tailed) value is > 0.05, then there is no significant difference or influence between learning outcomes in the control class and the experimental class.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is an essential skill that students must master in learning activities, particularly in Indonesian language learning. Good reading comprehension skills enable students to grasp key information, understand text structure, and summarize presented material. This research aims to determine the effect of the Quantum Reading method on the reading comprehension skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Islam Nurul Karomah in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employs a quantitative experimental method using a One-Group Pretest Posttest Design. This design involves two tests: pretest and posttest. The pretest assesses students' initial abilities, followed by treatment using the Quantum Reading method. Subsequently, a posttest is conducted to evaluate the learning outcomes after the treatment. The research findings indicate an improvement in students' reading comprehension skills after the application of the Quantum Reading method. The initial observation through the pretest shows an average student score of 63,86 categorized as sufficient. However, after the treatment and posttest, the average score significantly increased to 86,36 categorized as good. This result is supported by the t-test analysis, which shows a t-value of 27,27 greater than the t-table value of 1,720 at a 0,05significance level. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. This proves that the Quantum Reading method significantly influences the improvement of reading comprehension skills in news texts among eighth-grade students at SMP Islam Nurul Karomah in the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together terhadap kemampuan menganalisis unsur pembangun karya fiksi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Kota Sukabumi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, kelas VIII I sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII H sebagai kelas kontrol. Penelitian kuantitatif true experimental ini dilakukan menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan hasil pretest diketahui kemampuan menganalisis unsur pembangun karya fiksi siswa rendah. Rata-rata yang diperoleh kelas eksperimen menunjukan angka 32,53 dan rata-rata kelas kontrol menunjukan angka 34,25. Selanjutnya, nilai rata-rata tiap kelas mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan setelah pada kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan menggunakan model Numbered Head Together (NHT) dan pada kelas kontrol diberikan perlakuan menggunakan model konvensional. Meski demikian, peningkatan kelas eksperimen jauh lebih signifikan daripada kelas kontrol. Hal tersebut terlihat dari perolehan rata-rata kelas eksperimen yang menunjukan angka 80,33 dengan kategori sangat baik sedangkan rata-rata yang diperoleh kelas kontrol berada pada angka 75,94 dengan kategori baik. Dengan demikian dilakukan uji-t yang menunjukan nilai sig.(2-tailed) 0,039 < 0,05, maka sebagaimana dasar pengambilan keputusan, dinyatakan bahwa model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menganalisis unsur pembangun karya fiksi siswa kelas VIII SMPN Kota Sukabumi.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using the Wattpad application with guided techniques in improving the short story writing skills of 11th-grade students at the Cianjur Agriculture and Development Vocational School. This research employs a quantitative approach with an experimental research design. Initial observations and pretest results revealed that students’ short story writing skills were still poor, falling into the low category. To address this issue, an intervention was conducted using the Wattpad application as a digital writing medium combined with guided techniques. The posttest results showed a significant improvement in students’ writing performance. Statistical analysis confirmed a substantial increase in scores, with pretest results averaging 43.47 and posttest results increasing to an average of 72.57. The findings indicate that integrating digital platforms like Wattpad with structured guidance can enhance students’ ability to compose short stories effectively.

Abstract

The Indonesian language proficiency training aims to assess both oral and written language skills, focusing on receptive active skills, namely listening and reading. These skills are essential as they provide the foundation for productive language abilities. Achieving high proficiency requires intensive and continuous practice. This is particularly important for students, as enhancing receptive active skills can significantly boost their academic performance. In this training, students from grades X, XI, and XII of SMA Muhammadiyah Kota Sukabumi participated. They were provided with intensive exercises, including both oral and written questions. The training utilized audio recordings containing spoken discourses, consisting of four dialogues and four monologues, accompanied by forty multiple-choice questions for each session. The training was conducted in two stages: first, students listened to the discourse, and then they answered multiple-choice questions related to it. Each discourse was followed by five questions, and the activity was carried out in two sessions. The results showed a range of abilities among the students, with significant improvement noted in the second session. For listening skills, the highest score achieved was 360 (excellent) and the lowest was 134 (average). In reading, the highest score was 297 (very good), and the lowest was 63 (limited). The training effectively improved the students' Indonesian language proficiency, particularly in listening and reading.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the relationship between teacher motivation and students' reading interest in SMPN 12 Kota Sukabumi. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. The subjects of this study were 30 grade VII. Sampling in this study uses purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interview and questionnaire techniques. The data obtained is then processed. The result shows that there is a relationship between the motivation of the teacher and the reading interest of students in SMPN 12 Kota Sukabumi with a magnitude of 76%, this is evidenced by obtaining a correlation number of 0, 97 and the t test value obtained that t count> 21.11> 2.05, with a significant level of 0.05. In addition, because in this study obtained the results of tcount greater than t table, then the alternative hypothesis (Ha) submitted is accepted and Ho is rejected. So that from this whole study it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the motivation of the teacher and reading interest of the seventh grade students at SMPN 12 Kota Sukabumi.

Abstract

Penelilitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh analisis kesalahan berbahasa dalam keterampilan menulis mahasiswa Thailand pada program BIPA. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menganalisis ejaan dan kata pada teks deskripsi yang ditulis mahasiswa Thailand. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemelajar BIPA dalam keterampilan menulis pada level B1. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan ejaan pada teks dekripsi mahasiswa Thailand di program pembelajaran BIPA pada level B1 dapat dilihat sebagai berikut; kesalahan dalam ejaan berupa kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca, kata depan, dan huruf capital, selanjutnya pada penulisan kata kesalahan ditemukan pada penggunaan kata baku. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini kesalahan yang paling banyak ditemukan yaitu kesalahan pada penggunaan tanda baca dan huruf kapital.

Abstract

Media audio siniar bisa dijadikan sebuah media pembelajaran untuk membantu meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak siswa dalam memahami sebuah materi pembelajaran juga untuk menarik minat siswa dalam kegiatan menyimak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh penggunaan media audio siniar terhadap kemampuan menyimak cerita inspiratif pada siswa kelas IX C di SMPN 13 Sukabumi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan kuantitatif. Selanjutnya jenis penelitian yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu jenis eksperimen. Metode penelitian eksperimen digunakan untuk mencari pengaruh perlakuan tertentu terhadap yang lain dalam kondisi yang terkendalikan dengan menggunakan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design yang mana nanti siswa akan diberikan sebuah tes pretest-posttest. Penggunaan media audio siniar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak siswa dapat dilihat dengan memberikan tes pretes-posttest. Pretest tes yang diberikan kepada siswa kelas IX C sebelum menggunakan media audio siniar sedangkan posttest adalah tes yang diberikan kepada siswa IX C setelah diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan media audio siniar. Sehingga setelah tes pretest-posttest didapatkan sebuah nilai rata-rata dari tes pretest yaitu 61.14 sedangkan untuk nilai posttest mendapat nilai rata-rata 88.43. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji N-gain untuk melihat selisih atau peningkatan nilai dari tes pretest-posttest dan hasil dari nilai N-gain yaitu 0.7181 dengan kriteria tinggi. Sedangkan untuk nilai probabilitis mendapatkan hasil 0.00 < 0.05 sehingga nilai H0 ditolak. Dari penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media audio siniar berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menyimak siswa kelas IX C SMPN 13 Sukabumi dengan selisih peningkatan nilai N-gain 0.7181 dan nhasil nilai probabilitis 0.00<0.05 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan model pembelajaran Example Non Example dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen pada siswa kelas X MAN 2 Kota Sukabumi. Subjek pada penelitian ini terdiri dari satu kelas saja yaitu kelas X 11. Intrumen yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tes, lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini berupa penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal dan melihat hasil pretes, dapat diketahui bahwa kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa MAN 2 Kota Sukabumi tidaklah bagus dan masuk pada kategori rendah. Setelah diberikan treatment berupa model pembelajaran Example Non Example dan melakukan postes dapat terlihat adanya peningkatan nilai pada hasil postes siswa kelas X 11. Berdasarkan hasil uji signifikasi, kemampuan siswa dalam menulis cerpen mengalami peningkatan. Dapat dilihat perbedaan antara nilai pretes dan nilai postes. Nilai rata-rata pada postes 83.52 sedangkan nilai pretes 61.35. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil uji-t dengan diketahui thitung 12.18 lebih besar dari ttabel 2.032. Dari hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak karena thitung > ttabel. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Example Non Example efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen siswa kelas X MAN 2 Kota Sukabumi.
