Abstract

The Effect of Differentiation Strategy on Consumer Loyalty at Ud Tran Jaya Kasokandel, Majalengka Regency. Ud Tran Jaya Kasokandel is a retail business in Majalengka Regency that seeks to increase consumer loyalty for the company's UD (trading business) Tras Jaya Kasokandel is a retail business in Majalengka Regency that strives to increase consumer loyalty for the company's long-term survival. UD Tran Jaya Kasokandel has always made efforts to increase consumer loyalty; among them is the differentiation strategy that UD Tran Jaya Kasokandel always develops to bind consumers. The problem of this research is to find out if there is an influence of differentiation strategy on consumer loyalty. The population of this study was all consumers of Ud Tran Jaya Kasokandel with sampling technique using random sampling using the slovin formula to produce 96 people. The nature of this research is descriptive and verification. The data analysis methods are regression analysis, correlation, determination, and t-test. Based on the analysis results, there is an influence between the differentiation strategy and consumer loyalty; this is proven through hypothesis testing using the t-test so that it can be count is greater than t table (9, 8724 > 1.66123). The correlation value between differentiation strategy and consumer loyalty at Ud Tran Jaya Kasokandel Majalengka Regency based on research data is 0.7103. So the relationship between differentiation strategy variables and consumer loyalty at Ud Tran Jaya Kasokandel Majalengka Regency is included in the category of a strong relationship. The contribution of differentiation strategy to consumer loyalty is 50,46%, or it can be said that the variance that occurs in the consumer loyalty variable (Y) 50,46 % is determined by the variance that occurs in the differentiation strategy variable (X). The rest, amounting to 49%, factors outside this study determine 54%. The regression equation is: Y = 1, 11 + 0,41 X. It means: b is positive, namely 1,11, meaning that X positively affects Y. The regression coefficient of 0,41 states that every increase (because b is +) 1 unit of differentiation strategy will increase consumer loyalty by 0,41 units.

Abstract

Eosinophilic colitis is a very rare disease that can occur in the bimodal population (neonates and young adults) with a prevalence was 2.1/100,000 in overall population and 2.3/100,000 in adults. However, only about 0.1% of cases were diagnosed from biopsy results obtained during colonoscopy. The lack of precise histological criteria for the quantity of eosinophils in the colon mucosa creates a distinct challenge in diagnosing eosinophilic colitis. Eosinophilia in the gastrointestinal tract can be mediated by IgE and non-IgE, but non-IgE tends to be dominant in adults. This report discusses about a case of a 64-year-old male with bloody diarrhea that has been occur for two years. The anamnesis revealed symptoms suggestive of eosinophilic colitis, including complaints of diarrhea with abdominal pain and weight loss. Laboratory tests revealed an increase in peripheral eosinophil count and elevated levels of IgE. A positive skin prick test supported the presence of food allergen sensitization. The endoscopy revealed signs of ulcerative colitis, but the biopsy showed evidence of eosinophilic colitis. Initially, the patient was treated for ulcerative colitis but did not show improvement. Following treatment for eosinophilic colitis, the patient’s clinical status showed improvement. Since eosinophilic colitis can be chronic and recur, an accurate diagnosis and proper management are crucial for achieving complete remission. Abstract

Background. Dyspepsia syndrome is a group of symptoms consisting of epigastric discomfort, nausea, vomiting, bloating, early satiety, abdominal fullness, and belching. Dyspepsia syndrome is common in male adolescents. The causes of dyspepsia are multifactorial, one of the most common is diet and lifestyle changes. Objective. The aim of this study is to determine the association between irregular eating behavior, high fat intake, and dyspepsia syndrome of male adolescents in Yogyakarta senior high school.Methods. A cross-sectional study was performed among 255 male adolescents aged 15-19 years in Yogyakarta senior high school. The data were obtained using Gastrointestinal Symptoms (GIS) questionnaire, irregular eating behavior questionnaire, and Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ). Nominal variables were analyzed statistically by chi-square test and logistic regression test, numerical variables were analyzed by Mann-Whitney test and linear regression test. Result.  Dyspepsia syndrome is positive in 54.9% of the subject. Seventy-four percent of subjects with irregular eating behavior had dyspepsia, p<0.001, OR 3.58 (CI 95%, 2.05-6.26). Seventy-five percent of subjects with high fat intake had dyspepsia, p= 0.005, OR 2.86 (CI 95%, 1.33-6.15). The median GIS score of the high fat and normal fat intake group are two to one (p=0.005). Median GIS scores of irregular and regular eating behavior groups are two to zero (p<0.001). The coefficient of determination (R2) from multivariate analysis is 0.065.Conclusion. There is a significant association between eating irregularities and high fat consumption patterns with the incidence of dyspepsia syndrome in male adolescents in Yogyakarta high school.

Abstract

Background. Global prevalence of liver cirrhosis (LC) ranges from 4.5% to 9.5% of the general population amounting to more than fifty million people in the world. The Model for End Stage Liver Disease (MELD-Na) is commonly used to determine the prognosis and survival of liver cirrhosis patient. MELD-Na scoring consists of creatinine, bilirubin, international normalized ratio (INR), and serum sodium. Ascites is one of the clinical signs of decompensated liver cirrhosis, as well as present in Child Turcotte Pugh (CTP). The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between the presence of ascites and MELD-Na scores of LC patients.Methods. This cross-sectional study was performed in LC patients who met the inclusion without exclusion criteria. The study was conducted at RSUP Dr. Sardjito, Yogyakarta, Indonesia during 2017-2018 periods. The MELD-Na value was calculated using the following equation:MELD-Na = 9.57 ln (creatinine mg/dL) + 11.2 ln (INR) + 3.78 ln (bilirubin mg/dL) + 1.59 (135-Na [mEq/L]) + 6.43. Differences of mean MELD-Na scores based on presenting of ascites were tested by independent T-tests. The cut-off value of MELD-Na was determined through the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve. The relationship between the presence of ascites and the MELD-Na value was determined by the Fisher exact test; the correlation strength was determined by Phi and Crammer's V test. Prevalence ratio (PR) was calculated for determining the predictor factors. The results were considered statistically significant when the probability value p <0.05 was obtained.Results. There were 59 subjects (41 male and 18 female). The mean age of subjects was 52.05 years old. The 39 patients were found ascites and 20 patients were not. Based on independent T test results there was a significant difference in mean values of MELD-Na (p=0.006). Based on the ROC curve result, a cut-off point of 20.7 (95% specificity, 35% sensitivity) with Area under the Curve (AUC) was 0.662 (p=0.042). Based on the cut-off, Fisher test with 2x2 tables, Phi and Cramer's V test were done with p value 0.022; 0.015; 0.015 respectively. The PR value was 1.607 (95% CI: 1.203-2.145).Conclusion. There was a significant correlation between the presences of ascites with MELD-Na scoring using cut-off point of 20.7 and value of Prevalence Ratio of 1.6.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of price and product quality on consumer satisfaction at the Fariz Bread Factory in Cihaur Village, Majalengka Regency. Rapid growth in the business industry, especially in the culinary sector, requires companies to innovate in their products to attract consumer interest and ensure their satisfaction. This research uses descriptive and verification methods by collecting data through questionnaires from 94 respondents. The results of the analysis show that price and product quality have a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction. The correlation between price and consumer satisfaction is moderate, while the correlation between product quality and consumer satisfaction is strong. Together, price and product quality can explain about 52.20% of the variation in consumer satisfaction. These findings emphasize the importance of maintaining reasonable prices and high product quality to increase consumer satisfaction. Company management is expected to pay attention to consumer preferences and maintain product quality standards and competitive prices to win in a competitive market.

Abstract

Background: The inflammatory process of ulcerative colitis (UC) involves eosinophils. Eosinophils are not only related to the severity of UC but also to clinical improvement. The role of eosinophils in colonic mucosa has not been fully understood. This study aims to determine the correlation between the density of eosinophils in the colonic mucosa and the severity of ulcerative colitis.Method: This is a prospective cross-sectional study with consecutive sampling between August 2020 and July 2021. The subjects were UC inpatients/outpatients at Dr. Sardjito Hospital who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The number and location of the biopsies are determined based on a colonoscopy performed by a Gastroenterology-Hepatology Consultant. An Anatomic Pathology Specialist examined the eosinophil colonic tissue. The severity of UC was classified using the Truelove Witts score. Data analysis using a computer program with a p-value 0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results: There are 3 UC severity categories according to the Truelove Witts score: 22 mild (45.8%), 9 moderate (18.8%), and 17 severe (35.4%). Seven participants (14.6%) had eosinophilia, with a median eosinophilia score of 203.33 cells/microL (0–1470 cells/microL). Five participants (10.4%) with colonic mucosal eosinophilia, with a median value of 14.13 cells/HPF (0–172 cells/HPF). The density of colonic mucosal eosinophils and the severity of UC had a moderate connection (r = 0.396; p = 0.005).Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between the density of eosinophils in the colonic mucosa and the severity of UC.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas penerapan strategi supply chain manajemen (SCM) dalam mengoptimalkan proses produksi untuk mencapai keunggulan kompetitif. Dalam konteks globalisasi dan persaingan yang semakin ketat, perusahaan dihadapkan pada tantangan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas proses produksi mereka. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana penerapan prinsip-prinsip SCM dapat membantu perusahaan dalam mencapai keunggulan kompetitif melalui optimalisasi proses produksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan analisis terhadap berbagai sumber yang relevan, termasuk jurnal, buku, dan laporan penelitian terkini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan SCM yang efektif dapat meningkatkan koordinasi antar bagian dalam rantai pasokan, mengurangi waktu siklus produksi, dan menurunkan biaya operasional. Selain itu, strategi SCM yang terintegrasi memungkinkan perusahaan untuk lebih responsif terhadap perubahan permintaan pasar dan memperbaiki kualitas produk. Artikel ini juga mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasi SCM, seperti resistensi terhadap perubahan dan kebutuhan investasi awal yang signifikan. Kesimpulannya, penerapan strategi SCM yang komprehensif dan adaptif merupakan kunci untuk mencapai keunggulan kompetitif yang berkelanjutan dalam industri manufaktur. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya mencakup evaluasi empiris terhadap implementasi SCM di berbagai sektor industri serta pengembangan model yang dapat mengatasi tantangan spesifik dalam penerapan SCM.
