Abstract

Jackfruit is one of the horticultural commodities which are included in Floriculture. Jackfruit chips is one of the processed product of jackfruit be jackfruit chips. the product became a superior product at UD Dua Dewi. UD Dua Dewi has an initiative to process jackfruit into jackfruit chips so that provide added value to the jackfruit, have a higher economic value and longer shelf life. The production scale of UD Dua Dewi in one production process produced 5 kg of jackfruit chips from 75 kg of raw material from jackfruit. This study aims to determine: (1) the Value added of the processed product of jackfruit be jackfruit chips on UD Dua Dewi. The method of data collection is done by interviews and field observations to find out the conditions and facts in the field. The sampling method used is Purposive sampling. The tools of analytical used the value added analysis of the Hayami method. The results showed that: Processing of jackfruit into jackfruit chips in agroindustry UD Dua Dewi was classified as giving a medium added value with a value added of 3,100.83 and a ratio of value added is 35.78%.

Abstract

The development of online media in the digitalization era has an influence on the direction of changes in economic structure. This research was conducted in Jember Regency, East Java, especially for MSMEs who were registered with the Cooperative and MSME Office of Jember Regency. The goal to be achieved is to provide an overview of the application of online media which is divided into 6 (six) levels. MSME players in the Jember region possess their respective characteristics which are differentiated by stage / stage. The use of online media in each of those used by MSME actors also brings benefits. The benefits of using online media are divided into 15 (fifteen). At a certain level the benefits of using online media are significant, but some others do not have much impact.

Abstract

This research aimed to know: 1) the role of tobacco agribusiness in terms of its relation with other economic sectors in economy of East Java, 2) the role of tobacco agribusiness seen from the economic impact it generates, based on multiplier effect on output, income, and employment in East Java. The research method used is descriptive and analytic method. Methods of data collection used documentation. Data analysis tools used are backward and forward linkage analysis and multiplier effect analysis. This research used Input-Output Table of East Java on 2010 and 2015 with classification of each 110 sectors aggregated into 20 sectors. The results of this research showed that: 1) during the period 2010-2015, the direct backward and forward linkage of tobacco agribusiness is low. Nevertheless, the value of cigarette industry and tobacco sectors in the future has increased, while the tobacco sector declines. While in the value of backward linkages, the tobacco industry and tobacco sector tends to increase, while the processed tobacco sector declines, 2) The role of tobacco agribusiness in creating output, income, and employment is high. However, on output and income multiplier, the processed tobacco sector shows declining value, while the tobacco and cigarette industry shows an increasing value, due to increased cigarette consumption in East Java. In labor multipliers, the tobacco sector has decreased, while the tobacco processing industry has increased.

Abstract

Sidorejo Village, Umbulsari District, has the potential for animal husbandry. Villagers on average have cattle and goats which can be developed as a driving force for the village economy. The biggest need in the development of animal husbandry is the adequacy of animal feed. Therefore, based on the results of field observations and discussions, the problem faced by breeders is a lack of knowledge and understanding of breeders about good farming practices. The second problem is the low skill of breeders in making fermented animal feed. Therefore it is necessary to empower breeders group in collaboration with related institutions to overcome various existing problems. This solution is expected to be able to develop the potential of existing breeders in Sidorejo Village through the "One Lecturer One Village" community service program. The results achieved from this activity were: 1) 80 percent of breeders have understood the training material on making fermented animal feed, 2) The ability of breeders to utilize agricultural and plantation waste has developed, 3). There was a strengthening of the group which had an impact on the creation of an agribusiness area for goat and cattle farming. The achieved targets are then grouped into increasing farmer knowledge in raising cattle and goats intensively. Keywords: Sidorejo, breeders, Umbulsari, Cattle, Goat
