Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sikap petani anggota terhadap organisasi P3A di Desa Sei Buluh Kecamatan Teluk Mengkudu Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai. Metode penentuan daerah penelitian ditentukan secara sengaja (purposive). Metode penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan metode Simple Random Sampling yaitu pengambilan sampel secara acak dengan jumlah sampel 30 petani. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif, analisis korelasi Rank Spearman dan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Perkembangan organisasi P3A di daerah penelitian tidak mengalami perkembangan selama 5 tahun terakhir. (2) Karakteristik petani anggota seperti umur, luas lahan, tingkat pendidikan, jumlah tanggungan dengan dan lama keanggotaan mempunyai perbedaan dari setiap petani anggota organisasi P3A di daerah penelitian. (3) Kinerja organisasi P3A di daerah penelitian adalah tinggi. (4) Sikap petani anggota terhadap organisasi P3A di Desa Sei Buluh adalah positif. (5) Karakteristik petani anggota seperti umur, luas lahan dan lama keanggotaan memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan sikap petani terhadap organisasi P3A. Pendidikan dan jumlah tanggungan tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan sikap petani terhadap organisasi P3A. (6) Secara serempak karakteristik petani (umur, luas lahan, tingkat pendidikan, jumlah tanggungan dan lama keanggotaan) mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap sikap petani terhadap organisasi P3A. Secara parsial karakteristik petani seperti: umur, pendidikan dan jumlah tanggungan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sikap petani terhadap organisasi P3A. Luas lahan dan lama keanggotaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sikap petani terhadap organisasi P3A terhadap organisasi P3A. Kata kunci: karakteristik, P3A, sikap

Abstract

The area of Parsingguran II Tourism Village, Pollung District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency has very potential for rural tourism potential to be developed. This village has interesting characteristics, namely nature, culture , and agrotourism . These three potentials are still in the process of being developed by village groups, so this potential must be encouraged and developed following the socio-cultural characteristics of the community. The development of tourism potential based on local wisdom is a strategic effort in developing Parsingguran II Tourism Village. This strategic effort has been accommodated by the USU LPPM in 2021, however, the development of a strategic Tourism Village has not yet produced maximum results in village development. The community empowerment program carried out is to empower agricultural land by building a healthy agricultural culture through a living pharmacy garden to support the development of tourist villages in service locations

Abstract

The agricultural sector is one of the businesses with high risks and uncertainties. Sources of risk and uncertainty, among others, come from the natural environment, especially climate change, floods, droughts and explosions of plant pest organisms.  To overcome the losses of farmers, especially rice farming from the risk of crop failure, the government helps to protect farming businesses in the form of Rice Farming Insurance. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence farmers' decision to participate in rice farming insurance in Deli Serdang regency. The number of samples in this study was 100 samples with purposive sampling technique method. Factors influencing farmers' decision to participate in the rice farming insurance were analyzed using binary logistic regression. The results showed that the farmer's decision to participate in rice farming insurance can be explained by the variables of farmer education, income, number of family dependents, land area, farming experience, intensity of the risk of crop failure, insurance procedures and getting government assistance by 86.8% while the remaining 13.2% is explained by variables outside the model. Internal factors that influence farmers' decisions to participate in the rice farming insurance include land area and farming experience. External factors that influence farmers' decisions to participate in the rice farming insurance include the intenistas of the risk of crop failure, following the insurance program

Abstract

Amid the rise of café culture in urban Padangsidimpuan, this study examines how socio-economic preferences influence coffee-shop selection, particularly for pick-up orders. A cross-sectional survey involving 312 respondents—selected through stratified random sampling—captured consumer motivations via Likert-scale questionnaires, covering taste satisfaction, ambience, digital convenience, and perceptions of price fairness. Data were analyzed using factor analysis and partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that taste satisfaction (β = 0.33, p < 0.001) and app-based convenience (β = 0.28, p < 0.001) are the strongest predictors of café choice. Ambience contributes indirectly by fostering the intention to share experiences on social media. Segment analysis shows that pick-up customers prioritize convenience nearly twice as much as dine-in patrons, signaling a shift in consumption logic within Indonesia’s secondary cities. These findings extend consumption theory into the realm of secondary urbanization and highlight the role of lifestyle, taste, and digital habitus in shaping emergent consumer publics. This research contributes to the sociology of economic life and offers policy insights for strengthening the local creative economy.
