Abstract

Introduction: Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, mainly attacking the lungs, but can affect other organs. The disease remains a significant global and national health problem, including one of the world's top 10 causes of death and the deadliest infectious disease. TB cases in Central Lombok in 2022–2024 fluctuated, rising from 1,220 to 1,538 and then dropping to 1,467 cases. Pediatric TB increased significantly, the success of therapy increased, but the rate of dropouts, failed treatment was high, and mortality also increased. The main potential barriers include low knowledge, stigma, poor access to services, and limited facilities, these conditions underscore the urgency of research on national TB elimination strategies. Purpose: to analyze determinant factors related to the Handling of the Tuberculosis (TB) Program in Central Lombok. Result: It was found that patient knowledge, access to TB services, social stigma, and medication adherence had a significant effect on the success of TB treatment (p < 0.005). Patients with low knowledge were at risk of 3.97 times of barriers, of difficulty of access increased risk 7.23 times, of stigma 8.13 times, and of low adherence 4.54 times. These findings underscore the need for TB control strategies that prioritize patient education, improved access to services, reduced social stigma, and support for ongoing treatment adherence to improve the success of TB programs. Conclusion: This study shows that successful TB treatment is significantly influenced by patient knowledge, access to services, social stigma, and medication adherence. The risk of treatment barriers increased nearly four times in low-knowledge patients, more than seven times in difficult access, and eight times in high-stigma. Low drug adherence also has a significant impact. TB control strategies must prioritize education, increased access, stigma reduction, and patient compliance assistance on an ongoing basis.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance of the NTB Provincial Hospital using the Balance ScoreCard method. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through direct observation, in-depth interviews with seven informants, and documentation (document analysis). The results showed that the performance of the NTB Provincial Hospital in the customer perspective was rated quite good, as evidenced by the level of customer satisfaction with tangibles and assurance in the satisfied category, while in the aspects of reliability, empathy, and responsiveness, it was in the quite satisfied category. In the financial perspective, the solvency ratio and collection period are better than the ideal standard, while the liquidity ratio, total assets turnover, and cost recovery rate are less than the ideal standard. In the internal business process perspective, the NTB Provincial Hospital showed fairly good performance in most indicators; however, the high GDR and NDR rates indicate challenges in terms of the quality of critical patient care and mortality management. From the learning and growth perspective, the results are quite good with continuous employee competency development. NTB Provincial Hospital can start the process and efforts to improve performance by increasing the ability and motivation of HR work and innovation in the utiliz s of service information systems (learning and growth perspective), in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes as an effort to improve the quality and quality of services provided to patients (internal business process perspective), thus customers will feel comfortable, trust, and be satisfied with the services provided by the hospital (increased customer perspective), until finally the hospital's income will also increase (financial perspective).

Abstract

The Port Health Office (KKP) is a Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) within the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia which is responsible to the Director General of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P). The Port Health Office (KKP) has at least three scopes of work, namely preventing disease and health problems, managing airport/port environmental health. This research was conducted to determine the factors that influence the timeliness of ship clearance at the Mataram Class II Port Health Office in thesheet working area. The type of research used is analytical observational research using a cross sectional approach. Analytical surveys are surveys or research that explore how and why this health phenomenon occurs. Cross sectional is a method where the independent variable and the dependent variable are observed at the same time. The cross sectional approach aims to explain the factors that influence the timeliness of services for ship clearance at the Mataram Class II Port Health Office in the 2023 Working Area. Based on the results of statistical analysis, it was found that p value = 0.000 or less than (0.05) in factor on the timeliness of filling the sinkhole, then we get p value = 0.026 or less than (0.05) on the ship's sanitary condition factor. This means that these two factors have an influence on the timeliness of ship clearance at the Mataram Class II Port Health Office in the Sheet Work Area. The results of the logistic regression analysis show that the dominant factor is the timeliness of filling out the synchroplasty on the timeliness of services for ship clearance at the Mataram Class II Port Health Office in the Sheet Work Area. There is an influence between the timeliness of filling the sinkhole and the timeliness of ship clearance and there is an influence of the sanitary condition of the ship and the timeliness of ship clearance at the Mataram Class II Port Health Office, Working Area (Wilker) Sheet.

Abstract

This study aims to investigates the link between early marriage and parenting styles among parents of children aged 3-5 years in Awang Village, Central Lombok, Indonesia. This study employs an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. Data were gathered from 42 mothers who married before the age of 20. The research instrument is a questionnaire to collect information about socio-demographic and parenting style information, categorized as democratic, authoritarian, and permissive. Data analysis was conducted in two stages: univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of this study are that (1) a significant association between early marriage and authoritarian parenting styles, with 55% of mothers who married at or below 15 years old displaying authoritarian behavior, and 80% exhibiting permissive tendencies, (2) democratic parenting was exclusive to mothers who married at 16 years or older. Higher education levels were linked to democratic parenting, (3) a significant relationship between early marriage and authoritarian parenting, proven by statistical analysis using Fisher’s Exact Test (p = 0.001). The results suggest that early marriage leads to less supportive and more controlling parenting practices, negatively impacting child development. Thus, addressing socio-economic factors and improving educational opportunities are vital to mitigating the adverse effects of early marriage on parenting styles and child development.

Abstract

The National Health Insurance or JKN, which was launched on January 1 2014, is intended to increase public access to comprehensive and quality health services, so as to achieve universal health coverage (UHC). Effective promotive-preventive efforts will reduce the incidence of disease and have an impact on reducing the number of sick people and the number of people seeking treatment so that health financing is more efficient. Family planning (KB) services are part of promotive-preventive efforts. In the management of program contraceptive devices provided by the government in the last 3 years, various problems were still encountered, including shortages of contraceptive devices (stock out), accumulation of Alkon in storage warehouses, and Alkon distribution mechanisms that were not smooth. The research was conducted using a descriptive quantitative approach. Research location in East Lombok Regency taking into account the high vacancy of Alkon (Data F/II/KB online). Then, 31 First Level Health Facilities (FKTP) were taken, namely Community Health Centers, Doctor's Practices, Pratama Clinics and Type D Pratama Hospitals. The research was carried out for 6 months, namely May-October 2017. The results of the research show that in general the management of Alkon in the OPD-KB of East Lombok Regency has complied with technical instructions, but there are several mechanisms for providing, storing, distributing, recording and reporting as well as Alkon monitoring and evaluation requires clear and written Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that refer to technical manuals, and are spread throughout the OPD-KB, UPT-KB, Health Faskes and Network areas, so that the management of the mechanism runs uniformly.
