Abstract

Nosocomial infections were infections that occurred in the hospital environment. A person was said to have a nosocomial infection if the infection occurred while undergoing treatment in the hospital. Nosocomial infections could occur in patients, nurses, doctors, and hospital workers or visitors. To prevent nosocomial infections, namely stopping the transmission method by increasing staff compliance and equipment maintenance procedures, decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of the tools used, or high-level disinfection had to be considered before the equipment was used to carry out maintenance actions. If a nosocomial infection occurred, it impacted the length of treatment days due to comorbidities during hospitalization. Nosocomial infections had to be avoided and prevented in patient care in hospitals with a target of zero cases, one of the efforts was through staff compliance. Considering the risk of nosocomial infections, a compliance review of care workers was carried out. This study aimed to analyze compliance with the prevention and control of nosocomial infections in one hospital in West Nusa Tenggara Province. The method in this research was quantitative survey research with a cross-sectional approach. The research population was all nurses who worked in inpatient treatment rooms. By using a simple random sampling technique, a large sample of 50 nurses was obtained in this study. Chi-Square and Logistic Regression analysis were conducted using SPSS. The research results showed that there was a significant relationship between the factors education, knowledge, supervision, infrastructure, and management support on officer compliance. The dominant factor was found in the availability of infrastructure.

Abstract

The complex challenges in these environments demand extraordinary skill and resilience from nurses. This research aims to explore the influence of resilience on the performance of nurses at Mutiara Sukma Psychiatric hospital. The research method used a quantitative approach with a sample size of 110 nurses. Sampling was carried out using the Slovin formula and quota sampling technique. Data on nurses' resilience and performance were collected through questionnaires whose validity and reliability were tested. Data analysis involves inferential statistical techniques, such as independent t tests and simple linear regression. The independent t test was used to compare the average performance between low and high resilience groups, while simple linear regression was used to assess the linear relationship between resilience (independent variable) and performance (dependent variable). Data was processed using the SPSS program. The results of data analysis show that nurses with a high level of resilience tend to have better performance. Independent t tests revealed significant differences in performance between the low and high resilience groups. In addition, simple linear regression shows that resilience has a positive effect on nurse performance. The practical implications of this research provide a basis for developing training and support programs to increase nurse resilience, with the aim of improving service quality. This research provides an in-depth understanding of individual psychological relationships with a direct impact on mental health services. Despite these limitations, these findings have significant relevance for human resource management in hospitals and can serve as a basis for future research.

Abstract

The National Health Insurance or JKN, which was launched on January 1 2014, is intended to increase public access to comprehensive and quality health services, so as to achieve universal health coverage (UHC). Effective promotive-preventive efforts will reduce the incidence of disease and have an impact on reducing the number of sick people and the number of people seeking treatment so that health financing is more efficient. Family planning (KB) services are part of promotive-preventive efforts. In the management of program contraceptive devices provided by the government in the last 3 years, various problems were still encountered, including shortages of contraceptive devices (stock out), accumulation of Alkon in storage warehouses, and Alkon distribution mechanisms that were not smooth. The research was conducted using a descriptive quantitative approach. Research location in East Lombok Regency taking into account the high vacancy of Alkon (Data F/II/KB online). Then, 31 First Level Health Facilities (FKTP) were taken, namely Community Health Centers, Doctor's Practices, Pratama Clinics and Type D Pratama Hospitals. The research was carried out for 6 months, namely May-October 2017. The results of the research show that in general the management of Alkon in the OPD-KB of East Lombok Regency has complied with technical instructions, but there are several mechanisms for providing, storing, distributing, recording and reporting as well as Alkon monitoring and evaluation requires clear and written Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that refer to technical manuals, and are spread throughout the OPD-KB, UPT-KB, Health Faskes and Network areas, so that the management of the mechanism runs uniformly.

Abstract

Background: Leprosy is still a serious health problem in Indonesia. The rate of transmission of this disease is still high, but the discovery of new cases is low and the rate of dropping out of treatment is high. This indicates that the strategies for treating leprosy that have been implemented so far have not been effective enough. So appropriate efforts are needed to overcome the problem comprehensively and sustainably. Objective: Conduct educational interventions about leprosy for religious and traditional leaders to help find cases to increase the New Case Detection Rate of leprosy. Method: Quasi-Experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. Population: are religious leaders and traditional leaders. The sample size was 50 people. Results: there was a significant increase in the variables of knowledge (p-value<0.05), positive attitudes (p-value<0.05), and actions (p-value<0.05) from religious leaders and traditional leaders regarding leprosy after the intervention. Traditional and religious leaders have a joint commitment to eradicate Hansen's Disease after intervention. Conclusion: Educational interventions for religious and traditional leaders significantly increased the knowledge, attitude and actions in supporting new case detection rate of leprosy. Recommendation: This intervention model can be followed up by relevant stakeholders to solve the problem of detecting new cases of leprosy.

Abstract

The Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS) is a coordinated national initiative to promote healthy behavior and improve quality of life through family and community engagement. This study explores the implementation of GERMAS in Bima City, focusing on the effectiveness of health promotion strategies like advocacy, socialization, and public campaigns across Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) and related Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD). A qualitative descriptive research design grounded in postpositivist philosophy was employed, with data collected through triangulated interviews and observations. Findings indicate that GERMAS health promotion activities are well-established but limited to specific actions, lacking comprehensive integration across sectors. Efforts remain primarily confined to isolated activities, such as promoting a Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS) and disease prevention, rather than fostering collaborative, multi-sectoral engagement. Future implementation should strengthen cross-sector partnerships and expand routine practices, including regular physical activity, increased fruit and vegetable intake, and health check-ups every six months. The study offers foundational insights for developing enhanced strategies and policies for GERMAS integration in community health frameworks.
