Abstract

Manajemen pendidikan karakter sebagai penanaman nilai-nilai karakter, nilai akhlak, moral dan perilaku yang baik terhadap peserta didik. Penelitian ini berupaya mengeskplorasi peran manajemen pendidikan dalam mengembangkan karakter peserta didik di lembaga pendidikan formal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur untuk menghasilkan esensi peran manajemen pendidikan dalam mengembangkan karakter siswa di lembaga pendidikan formal. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dari berbagai proses penanaman karakter melalui perilaku di dalam diri siswa, manajemen pendidikan mampu menciptakan kondisi yang kontributif terhadap pengembangan karakter peserta didik. Sehingga perserta didik dapat mempersiapkan dirinya melalui penguasaan kompetensi yang diinetrnalisasi menajdi karakter dalam diri mereka.Management of character education as planting character values, moral values, morals and good behavior towards students. In developing the character of students, there are many materials for consideration to develop student character through learning that is instilled in students. As a form of effort to cultivate personality, morals, and knowledge, it takes a role in the management of character education. This study examines the results of observations from various data sources that have been collected. From the various developments of inculcating behavior in students, it is able to create conditions that contribute to the management of student character development. So that students can prepare themselves through mastery of competence and character education management.

Abstract

Strategi pembelajaran merupakan suatu kegiatan pembelajaran yang harus dikerjakan guru dengan siswa agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat mendukung dalam pelaksanaan strategi pembelajaran dicapai secara efektif dan efisien. Menumbuhkan motivasi belajar terhadap siswa SMP merupakan salah satu teknik dalam mengembangkan kemauan serta kemampuan belajar siswa karena di umur awal remaja ini yang begitu masih labil terhadap segala sesuatu maka dari itu sebagai guru sangat berkepentingan dengan permasalahan ini. Salah satu cara yang logis untuk memotivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran adalah mengaitkan pengalaman belajar dengan motivasi siswa. Sehingga sebagai guru atau calon guru sebisa mungkin kita harus selalu berupaya untuk dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar terutama bagi siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar.

Abstract

In globalization, education is the main foundation for developing the potential of human resources in every country. In realizing ideal educational outcomes, it is necessary to create positive pedagogical values that allow students to grow optimally according to their essential potential. One of the educational philosophies that influence modern educational practice almost worldwide is Pestalozzi's philosophy of education. The purpose of this study is to explore the pedagogical values in Pestalozzi's philosophy. This research is a literature study, and it analyzes Pestalozzi's pedagogical values to be developed as positive pedagogic values in schools today. The analyzed documents were open access and peer-reviewed papers, or articles related to Pestalozzi from ERIC, Mendeley, Academia Edu, and CiteSeerX. It was found that ten documents met the requirements and contained data of Pestalozzi's pedagogy. The results showed that the main pedagogical values of Pestalozzi were the pedagogical values of love and moral values. Both values remain reliable as the basis for the development of classroom management by current teachers. Further research on compassion and moral-based pedagogy needs to be conducted.

Abstract

The role of guidance and counseling teachers in schools is vital in increasing student learning motivation, especially for students experiencing personal and learning problems. The existence of counseling guidance for teachers in each school functions to foster student personality, improve student learning motivation, and overcome student learning problems so that they can become independent students. This study aims to find out: How does the guidance and counseling service build student motivation to learn based on the student's point of view? The research method used is the phenomenological research method. The data collection method was carried out through individual interviews, with the interview duration between 30-45 minutes per person. Data management is carried out using thematic qualitative analysis methods. The results showed that individual planning essential services could assist students in growing motivation to learn because students feel they understand more about the picture of future developments, students feel they have friends to tell stories, students think they get additional insight about scholarships, and students feel they get solutions to individual problems.

Abstract

The existence of the Covid-19 disaster has changed most of the executive orders in schools. Changes in Organizational Behavior in the form of new policies in the field of education to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic have become a standard solution that occurs almost throughout schools. This study explores changes in education management in schools during the covid-19 period. This study uses qualitative research methods. The results showed that the change from an offline system to online learning had triggered the emergence of new things in the field of education management, namely: 1) the form of learning from offline changed to distance learning; 2) accelerated utilization of high technology; and 3) analog learning model became multi-source. In implementing school management policies during the transition period, support from various parties is needed so that everything runs as planned by the school management.

Abstract

AbstrakPenerapan pembelajaran jarak jauh atau pembelajaran tatap muka di era pendidikan normal baru memiliki implikasi psikologis bagi siswa termasuk pada pelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan model konseptual implementasi manajemen kurikulum dalam pembelajaran matematika jarak jauh di SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dengan data berasal dari 10 SMP, data diperoleh secara kolektif berupa wawancara dari narasumber. Data diolah dengan aplikasi atlas.ti 8 kemudian divalidasi dan melakukan triangulasi sumber sehingga muncul hasil penelitian yakni (1) strategi pelaksanaan manajemen kurikulum dalam pembelajaran matematika jarak jauh yang diterapkan di pimpin langsung oleh kepala sekolah dengan bentuk brakedown peraturan, (2) pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru berdasarkan perencanaan yang telah disusun oleh guru pada awal tahun ajaran, (3) sarana prasarana untuk pelaksanaan pembelajaran sudah terpenuhi, (4) pelatihan yang diberikan pada guru sudah di program oleh kepala sekolah dengan periodik, (5) pembentukan kelas yang dilakukan berfungsi untuk mengelompokan peserta didik sesuai dengan minat dan kemampuannya, (6) kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru adalah sulit mengetahui eksperesi peserta didik saat pembelajaran, (7) kendala yang dihadapi oleh peserta didik adalah jaringan dan kuota yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik sehingga sulit memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh guru. AbstractThe implementation of distance learning or face-to-face learning in the new normal education era has psychologically affected the students, including in mathematics learning. This study aimed to find a conceptual model to implement curriculum management of distance learning in mathematics in junior high schools. This qualitative descriptive study collected data from 10 junior high schools. The data were obtained collectively by using interviews. The data was processed using the atlas.ti 8 application and then validated and triangulated the sources so that the results of the research emerged, namely, the implementation strategy of curriculum management of the distance learning in was directed by the school principal in the form of regulatory breakdown, learning carried out by the teacher based on the plan prepared by the teacher at the beginning of the school year, the infrastructure of the learning process was provided, the training provided to teachers was programmed by the principal periodically, the class distribution was based on the student’s interests and abilities, the obstacle faced by the teacher was that it was difficult to know the expressions of the students during learning, the obstacles faced by students was the internet quota and unstable network to such an extent that students were having difficulties to understand the materials delivered by the teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the leadership of female teachers in managing classes in Muhammadiyah schools in the Pleret region, Bantul, Yogyakarta (DIY). This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach to classify the leadership abilities of female teachers in managing the class. The research was carried out in Muhammadiyah schools in the Pleret area, Bantul, DIY. Respondents in this study were 60 teachers who teach at Muhammadiyah schools in Pleret, Bantul. The data collection technique in this study was to use a questionnaire that was distributed to all research samples who were randomly selected. Based on the results of the research and discussion that has been carried out, it can be concluded that most of the female teachers in the Muhamamdiyah Pleret school, Bantul, have fairly good leadership abilities (83%) and 15% of female teachers have excellent leadership in managing learning. This is a natural potential possessed by Muhammmadiyah in Pleret Bantul, to continue to develop their abilities so that they become better in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the process of innovation and creativity of teachers in private elementary schools in Cilacap in making teaching materials during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is qualitative research methods. Participants in this study were one teacher who we determined using purposive sampling technique, with the criteria: private SD teachers in Cilacap City, developing  innovative materials, and we collected data through online interviews. The results showed that the teaching materials used by teachers in the learning process in private schools in urban areas; participants took several stages to make creative and innovative teaching materials during the Mas pandemic. The steps are as follows: (1) analyze the needs of teaching materials (2) compile a map of teaching materials (3) structure the teaching materials, and (4) synchronize with school’s curriculum. Distance learning is the best alternative for schools to do during the covid- 19 pandemic. To be able to produce effective distance learning, teachers must innovate and be creative to develop teaching materials that can be used as media for distance learning. Teachers at private elementary schools in Cilacap City are among those who have been able to develop innovative teaching materials during the Covid-19 period so that learning becomes useful.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low quality of education in Indonesia, especially primary education. Improving the quality of education is a must to meet the needs of schools and communities. One of the efforts made to make schools an active forum in improving the quality of education is strategic planning. This study aims to explore school strategic planning, analyze, and plan strategic planning in improving the quality of education at SDN Jetis Bantul. Researchers used descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study were in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation. This study's subjects were the principal, members of the principal's work deliberation, supervisors, teachers, and the school committee. Data analysis techniques used are data, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and levers. The results show that: (1) strategic planning is carried out by making an annual work plan following the vision, mission and goals of the school formulated at the beginning of the school year, forming a school development team, implementing school planning by educational procedures, developing development and coaching results achieving goals. (2) implementing school management strategies to diagnose systematically, plan, design and compile documents, establish policies, motivate educators and education personnel, allocate human resources, and develop a supportive strategic culture. (3) The evaluation of the school management strategy is carried out by analyzing its suitability with the strategic plan; the evaluation results used to assess a program, improvements, or colours. Supporting strategic planning factors are excellent support from students, teachers, supervisors, committees, student guardians and the school environment. The obstacle encountered in school strategic planning is the problem of the improper formulation. The school collaborates with the school committee and student guardians to solve these inhibiting factors to overcome this.
