Abstract

Abstract: The arrangement of architectural light, including natural and artificial, is the ability that is expected to be mastered by the architect because light plays an important role, both in terms of security, health, comfort, and visual aesthetics of buildings.  The existence of libraries in the world of education is highly prioritized, especially at a university to support learning and teaching activities so that the existence of the library should be the center of attention. The library is one of the workplaces where most activities rely heavily on the eyes, therefore good lighting in the library room will improve work comfort for employees and students. Based on SNI 03-6197-2000 concerning Energy Conservation in Lighting Systems, the average lighting level in library reading rooms is 300 lux. This research was carried out with the main objective was to find out the level of lighting in the reading room of the Budi Luhur University library and its compatibility with SNI. The research method used is a quantitative method by reading literature relating to natural lighting, field observation, measuring with a light meter tools. The scope of this research is the level of lighting in the library reading room. The results of this study indicate that the average value of lighting intensity or strong lighting naturally in the library reading room on the 2nd floor is 272 lux, and the library reading room on the 3rd floor is 663 lux. Based on SNI 03-6197-2000 concerning Energy Conservation in the Lighting System, the lighting of the library reading room on the 2nd floor does not meet the standard, while the average value of natural lighting intensity in the reading room on the 3rd floor exceeds the standard and will cause other problems, namely glare which can interfere with the convenience of library users. Keyword: daylighting, illumination, libraryAbstrak: Penataan cahaya arsitektural, meliputi alami dan buatan merupakan kemampuan yang diharapkan dikuasai oleh arsitek karena cahaya memegang peranan penting, baik dari segi keamanan, kesehatan, kenyamanan, maupun estetika visual bangunan. Keberadaan perpustakaan pada dunia pendidikan sangatlah diutamakan, terlebih lagi pada sebuah Universitas untuk mendukung kegiatan belajar dan mengajar maka sudah semestinya keberadaan perpustakaan menjadi pusat perhatian. Perpustakaan merupakan salah satu tempat kerja yang sebagian besar kegiatan sangat mengandalkan mata. Oleh sebab itu pencahayaan yang baik di ruang perpustakaan akan meningkatkan kenyamanan dalam bekerja bagi karyawan dan mahasiswa. Berdasarkan SNI 03-6197-2000 tentang Konservasi Energi pada Sistem Pencahayaan, tingkat pencahayaan rata-rata pada ruang baca perpustakaan adalah 300 lux. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan utama adalah mengetahui tingkat pencahayaan pada ruang baca perpustakaan Universitas Budi Luhur dan kesesuaiannya dengan SNI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan membaca literatur yang berkaitan dengan pancahayaan alami, observasi lapangan, melakukan pengukuran dengan alat luxmeter. Lingkup penelitian ini adalah tingkat pencahayaan pada ruang baca perpustakaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata intensitas pencahayaan atau kuat penerangan secara alami pada ruang baca perpustakaan di lantai 2 adalah sebesar 272 lux dan pada ruang baca perpustakaan di lantai 3 sebesar 663 lux. Berdasarkan SNI 03-6197-2000 tentang Konservasi Energi pada Sistem Pencahayaan, pencahayaan ruang baca perpustakaan di lantai 2 belum memenuhi stadar, sedangkan nilai rata-rata intensitas pencahayaan alami pada ruang baca lantai 3 melebihi standar dan akan menimbulkan permasalahan lainnya yaitu terjadinya silau (glare) yang dapat mengganggu kenyamanan pengguna perpustakaan.Kata Kunci: Pencahayaan Alami, Intensitas Pencahayaan, Perpustakaan

Abstract

The coronavirus outbreak is now a problem for the world community. Not only has the potential to interfere with health, the coronavirus often causes panic. In fighting the SARS-CoV virus that causes the Covid-19 pandemic, a qualified body defense is needed. Although some local governments implement quarantine policies to prevent people from being exposed to the risk of the Covid-19 virus, not all people can carry out quarantine at home because of work demands. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase endurance. In addition to workers who are required to continue working even though they have to be quarantined at home, the elderly and also children whose immune systems are still vulnerable or have decreased need to increase their immune system. The easiest way to increase body resistance is to bask in the sun. Sunbathing can be done directly outside the house and can be directly exposed to sunlight, but for some people whose body conditions are not as strong as young people, for example, the elderly, people with special needs, are vulnerable, suffer from dust allergies, and so on, this will cause new problems. So for some people who cannot go outside directly or who are less flexible, they still need sunlight for sunbathing. One way is to enter sunlight through the window openings in the house. This research was conducted with the main objective of creating a prototype or prototype window for the sunroom in the building to increase the body's immunity using the DiaLux software. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method with an experimental approach. The stages of this research are in the form of; i) theoretical study, ii) data observation, iii) calculation, iv) window prototyping, v) analysis and synthesis, v) simulation, vi) research result generation and conclusion drawing. The result of this research is a prototype window for human sunbathing space which is expected to accommodate or provide human sunbathing space in increasing body immunity. The window prototype in the sunroom that most maximally includes natural light with a lighting intensity value of 8701 lx, namely prototype window 3 which is a window or opening on the roof of a building with dimensions of 1.20 m x 0.83 m. By providing a multifunctional sunbed, it can be an architectural solution to increase the body's immunity to prevent the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus.

Abstract

Abstract: Subground passive cooling is a passive cooling technique that is carried out by flowing cold air in the ground into the room. The Pasio Christi Church in Cibunut, Kuningan, West Java was founded in 1965. Then the church implemented a passive cooling subground system through renovations carried out on May 11, 2018. This passive cooling system is usually carried out in areas with subtropical to cold climates, however Cibunut who has a tropical climate tries to implement this system. In fact, there is concern if the system is implemented in the tropics, such as humidity entering the system, causing fungal problems that can have an impact on health. . Therefore this research describes the application of the subground passive cooling system in tropical climates with the following steps: (i) data collection in the form of literature studies, (ii) identification of the subground passive cooling system of Cibunut Church, (iii) elaboration of theory regarding subground passive cooling, (iv) analysis of the application of subground passive cooling of the Cibunut church with the results of theoretical elaboration. This research is expected to be able to contribute in science, especially regarding the application of subground passive cooling systems in tropical climates.Abstrak: Subground passive cooling merupakan teknik pendinginan pasif yang dilakukan dengan mengalirkan udara dingin dalam tanah ke dalam ruangan. Gereja Pasio Christi di Cibunut, Kuningan, Jawa Barat didirikan sejak 1965. Lalu gereja ini menerapkan sistem subground passive cooling melalui renovasi yang dilakukan pada 11 Mei 2018. Sistem pendinginan pasif ini biasanya dilakukan pada wilayah dengan iklim subtropis hingga iklim dingin, namun demikian Cibunut yang beriklim tropis mencoba untuk menerapkan sistem ini. Padahal ada kekawatiran jika sistem ini diterapkan di wilayah tropis, seperti kelembaban yang masuk dalam sistem sehingga muncul permasalahan jamur yang dapat berdampak pada kesehatan. Oleh karena itu pada penelitian ini mendiskripsikan mengenai penerapan sistem subground passive cooling pada wilayah beriklim tropis dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut : (i) pengumpulan data dalam bentuk studi literatur, (ii) identifikasi sistem subground passive cooling Gereja Cibunut, (iii) elaborasi teori mengenai subground passive cooling, (iv) analisis penerapan subground passive cooling gereja Cibunut dengan hasil elaborasi teori. Dari penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberikan sumbangsih dalam keilmuan terutama mengenai penerapan sistem subground passive cooling pada wilayah beriklim tropis.

Abstract

Abstract: The coronavirus pandemic in 2019 has changed the lifestyle of people around the world. The coronavirus pandemic is the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus around the world. In 2021 Indonesia is facing a massive spike in COVID-19 cases. So that patients without symptoms or with mild to moderate symptoms, people who are in contact with COVID-19 patients, and people with a history of traveling from high-risk areas must self-isolate (isoman) at home. This is a problem for people in Indonesia with small-type houses. So research was conducted to make a prototype of a temporary room for self-isolation in a small type of residence. Temporary self-isolation room in the form of a portable room with a base module of 2.3m x 2.7m when unfolded and 2.3m x 0.9m when folded. The self-isolation portable room also applies the self-isolation protocol requirements for COVID-19 patients. Research using Quantitative Research Methods with an Experimental Approach. Quantitative Research Methods by designing a self-isolation room with a portable system equipped with health protocol facilities for COVID-19 patients. An experimental approach by prototyping a portable system self-isolation room and using a smart system for automation of electronic equipment. The main outputs are Smart Portable Room Prototypes as Independent Isolation Rooms in Residential Houses, Model/design of MBKM activities for Budi Luhur University students, and Sinta-indexed National Journal Publications. Additional outputs are simple HKI patents for Portable Rooms and Automatic Control of Electronic Equipment, Videos of MBKM Lectures and Research, as well as publications of Portable Room electronic mass media.Abstrak: Pandemi virus corona yang dialami sejak tahun 2019 telah merubah cara hidup dan kondisi masyarakat dunia. Pandemi virus corona adalah peristiwa menyebarnya penyakit virus corona 2019 di seluruh dunia. Pandemi virus corona  disebabkan oleh virus COVID-19, yaitu virus corona jenis baru SARS-CoV-2. Tahun 2021 Indonesia menghadapi lonjakan kasus COVID-19 secara besar-besaran. Sehingga pasien tanpa bergejala atau bergejala ringan-sedang, masyarakat yang melakukan kontak erat dengan pasien COVID-19, serta masyarakat dengan riwayat bepergian dari daerah berisiko tinggi harus melakukan isolasi mandiri (isoman) bagi pasien COVID-19 di rumah. Hal ini menjadi permasalahan bagi sebagian masyarakat di Indonesia yang tidak memiliki ruang lebih di rumah, terutama yang memiliki rumah tinggal dengan tipe kecil. Berdasarkan permasalah kebutuhan ruang isolasi mandiri bagi pasien COVID-19 pada rumah tinggal, maka diadakan penelitian untuk membuat prototipe ruang sementara sebagai tempat isolasi mandiri pada rumah tinggal dengan tipe kecil. Ruang isolasi mandiri sementara tersebut dalam bentuk kamar portabel dengan modul dasar berukuran 2,3m x 2,7m saat dibuka dan 2,3m x 0,9m saat dilipat, dengan tujuan agar lebih mudah disesuaikan dengan kondisi masing-masing rumah tinggal. Kamar portabel isolasi mandiri juga menerapkan sistem sesuai dengan persyaratan protokol isolasi mandiri bagi pasien COVID-19.Penelitian menggunakan Metode Penelitian Kuanitatif dengan Pendekatan Eksperimen. Penerapan Metode Penelitian Kuanitatif yaitu dengan membuat desain kamar isolasi mandiri dengan sistem portabel yang dilengkapi dengan fasilitas protokol kesehatan pasien COVID-19. Sedangkan penerapan pendekatan eksperimen dilakukan dengan membuat prototipe kamar isolasi mandiri dengan sistem portabel menggunakan ukuran modul yang fleksibel diletakkan pada rumah tinggal tipe kecil serta sistem pintar untuk sistem otomatis peralatan elektronik pada kamar portabel.Luaran utama pada penelitian adalah Prototipe Kamar Portabel Pintar Sebagai Ruang Isolasi Mandiri Pada Rumah Tinggal, Model/rancangan kegiatan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka bagi mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Universitas Budi Luhur, dan Publikasi pada Jurnal Nasional terindeks Sinta. Sedangkan luaran tambahan pada penelitian adalah HKI paten sederhana dengan judul “Kamar Portabel Untuk Ruang Isolasi Mandiri Pasien Terdampak Penyakit Menular” dan “Pengatur Otomatis Peralatan Eletronik”, Video pelaksanaan Penelitian, Video perkuliahan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka model perkuliahan Riset/Penelitian, dan publikasi media elektronik Kamar Portabel.
