Abstract

The purpose of the study was to develop instruments for measuring teacher candidates' social competence in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (the fourth I.R.) era. The instrument was developed by referring to Indonesian Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers and the Regulation of the Minister of National Education Number 16 of 2007 to strengthen some special competence of teacher candidates in the fourth IR era. Limited instrument testing was carried out to 107 test subjects for the 6th-semester undergraduate education program at Yogyakarta State University, consisting of three study programs: Mathematics Education, Indonesian Language Education, and English Language Education study programs. The results of the content validity analysis of 30 instrument items obtained the Aiken V index between 0.61 - 0.93, with 29 items valid, and one invalid item. The construct validity analysis with EFA showed 25 valid items and five invalid items, with a KMO value of 0.504. The significance of Bartlett's test was p = 0.000. Meanwhile, the construct validity analysis with CFA showed the model fit, with a Chi-Square value = 290.35 (p 0.05). The reliability results show that the Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient is 0.40 (moderate category). This shows that the social competency assessment instruments for teacher candidates in the fourth IR era developed are feasible to use, with several improvements.

Abstract

The survival-skills are important to be possesed by adolescents. Nowadays, the threats in their environment are increasing and having survival-skill would help them to cope with problem that they face. Unfortunately, empirical study on survival-skills are rarely conducted. The purpose of this study is to examine and obtain an empirical picture of adolescent survival-safety skills in Yogyakarta. The research method that has been applied is a survey of 312 adolescents in 5 schools in Yogyakarta. The conclusion of this study is an affirmation of the findings of the findings as well as answers to the research questions that adolescents in Yogyakarta are generally in the potential of Survival-Safety Skills in the Medium category, meaning that conditions are sufficient to survive safely and obtain a sense of security for adolescents in living a life more prosperous. However, in some aspects it still shows Low, especially on Aspects: psychospiritual, Environmental Adaptation, and Having Hope

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen keberhargaan diri pada mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode pengembangan instrumen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket keberhargaan diri pada mahasiswa. Hasil uji lapangan instrumen keberhargaan diri dianalisis menggunakan model pengukuran RASCH dan software Winstep. Berdasarkan hasil Uji Item Fit Order diketahui bahwa dari 58 item terdapat 7 item yang tidak fit/ valid. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat 51 item yang valid. Hasil Uji Reliabilitas Item dan Person berada dalam rentang ideal (+0.5 logit s/d +1.5 logit) yaitu sebesar 0.94 dan 0.88 yang berada pada kategori sangat baik dan memenuhi syarat pengukuran. Hasil analisis sebaran item atau item map keberhargaan diri didapatkan data bahwa item no P9  merupakan item yang paling sulit untuk diberikan persetujuan, sedangkan item dengan tingkat kesulitan terendah adalah item P20. Selain itu, hasil Uji Unidimensionality menunjukkan bahwa analisis varians sebesar 6.2% telah memenuhi kriteria yaitu tidak >15%, hal tersebut menjelaskan bahwa terpenuhinya kondisi ideal untuk dilaksanakannya pengukuran. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan dalam penggunaan instrumen keberhargaan diri di kalangan mahasiswa, yang selanjutnya dapat dilanjutkan dengan perumusan model bimbingan dan konseling yang tepat dalam meningkatkan keberhargaan diri pada mahasiswa.

Abstract

Adversity intelligence merupakan kemampuan dan ketekunan individu dalam menghadapi tantangan hidup sehari-hari seraya tetap berpegang teguh pada prinsip dan impian tanpa memperdulikan apa yang sedang terjadi. Individu yang memiliki adversity intelligence rendah tidak mampu mengatasi hambatan dan kesulitan serta pesimis terhadap masa depan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pentingnya adversity intelligence di bidang Pendidikan. Tinjauan pustaka yang komprehensif menggunakan metodologi analisis isi digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi tiga aspek publikasi  adversity intelligence dalam pendidikan, antara lain 1) jenis desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian terkait adversity intelligence 2) subjek penelitian yang dipilih dalam penelitian terkait adversity intelligence, dan 3) peran adversity intelligence dalam pendidikan. 20 artikel dianalisis dengan menelusuri dan mereview dari jurnal database terpercaya, yaitu Scopus, Science Direct, dan Researchgate. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adversity intelligence memberikan pengaruh yang besar dalam bidang pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) penelitian deskriptif dan eksperimental adalah desain yang paling umum digunakan; 2) partisipan penelitian dalam penelitian adversity intelligence didominasi pada siswa SMA/SMK; 3) peran adversity intelligence pada bidang pendidikan didominasi oleh prestasi belajar. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan referensi kepada konselor/Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling untuk mengembangkan adversity intelligence siswa.

Abstract

This research was motivated by several findings of problems in schools related to parasocial relationship behavior. Based on findings from various sources and observations, it turns out that this behavior has a big influence on students' social interactions at school. The aim of this research is to help students reduce parasocial relationship behavior by using self-management techniques. This research uses a quantitative approach with the Single Subject Research (SSR) method and uses an A-B-A reversal design. Respondents numbered 600 people who were class XI students at SMA Negeri Sumedang. The instrument used is a parasocial relationship scale with 24 items. The results of data collection show that there are 4 students who have a tendency to behave in parasocial relationships. So the four students were used as research subjects using self-management group counseling. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it shows that group counseling with self-management techniques has an effect in reducing the tendency for parasocial relationship behavior._____________________________________________________________Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa temuan permasalahan di sekolah yang berkaitan dengan perilaku hubungan parasosial. Berdasarkan temuan dari berbagai sumber dan observasi ternyata perilaku tersebut sangat berpengaruh terhadap interaksi sosial siswa disekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membantu siswa mengurangi perilaku hubungan parasosial dengan menggunakan teknik self management. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Single Subject Research (SSR) dan menggunakan desain reversal A-B-A. Responden berjumlah 600 orang yang merupakan siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri Sumedang. Instrumen yang digunakan merupakan skala hubungan parasosial (Parasocial relationship) yang berjumlah 24 item. Hasil pengumpulan data menunjukan bahwa terdapat 4 siswa yang memiliki kecenderungan perilaku hubungan parasosial. Sehingga empat siswa tersebut dijadikan sebagai subjek penelitian dengan menggunakan konseling kelompok self management. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa konseling kelompok dengan teknik self management berpengaruh dalam menurunkan kecenderungan perilaku hubungan parasosial.

Abstract

Research is a scientific activity to examine and approve the theory or assumption. In examining assumption, research needs approach and method. Researcher should determine not only the appropriate approach but also the right method to manage finding of research. One of the methods used in quantitative research is T Test. T Test could be used in experimental research design. This study is aimed at exploring the experimental research design by using T Test. This study is a literature review. The result of this study explained the concept of T Test, the concept of experimental research, and the application of T Test in experimental research. Abstract

Studies about school counselor leadership skills development shows diverse findings. Therefore, a comprehensive review of the emerging literature is required. This study utilized a systematic literature review in order to assess existing understanding about the school counselor leadership skill development. This research adhered to the Standard Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Protocols (PRISMA-P) to collect 15 articles in accordance with the inclusion criteria. This article describes the context of leadership skill development among school counselors over the last ten years and measurement methods used in previous studies. It identifies possible contexts for developing future school counselor leadership skills. The research results are expected to provide insights for research designs in the future, so that they can formulate a framework for developing school counselor leadership skills that are meaningful and useful for improving the counseling profession. The findings of this research offer straightforward access to the recent state of research about school counselor leadership skills development. Some recommendations for research in the future are1) leadership skills development that can be carried out at the doctoral level; 2) considering emotional intelligence in the preparation of intervention programs; and 3) developinhg the cultural and environmental context of the school counselors.

Abstract

This study aims to show the influence of BK teachers' understanding of professional ethics and competence on the quality of guidance and counseling services. This research uses a literature review approach obtained by the source through the data base of national and international journal providers found on the google scholar page which is then analyzed. The results of this study concluded that understanding ethics and fulfilling the competence of BK teachers affects the guidance and counseling services provided. Because guidance and counseling services cannot be provided with just anyone, to facilitate the guidance and counseling process, BK teachers must have competencies and realize the code of ethics in order to achieve effective goals that are accountable to clients.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pemanfaatan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dalam studi tentang Growth Mindset. Metode yang digunakan adalah systematic literature review dengan sumber data berupa artikel jurnal dan prosiding dari Scopus dan Google Scholar, diperoleh menggunakan aplikasi Publish or Perish. Kriteria inklusi meliputi: terbit dalam lima tahun terakhir (2020–2024), berbahasa Inggris, dan memuat analisis SEM dengan topik growth mindset. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan isi, serta divisualisasikan menggunakan VOSviewer. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa SEM dalam penelitian growth mindset umumnya digunakan untuk memodelkan hubungan mediasi dan moderasi antara growth mindset dan faktor internal (seperti grit, motivasi) maupun eksternal (seperti dukungan sosial, iklim kelas), dengan fokus pada siswa dan capaian akademik sebagai variabel hasil. Tantangan utama mencakup kendala metodologis (ukuran sampel, validitas) dan konseptual (variasi definisi, keterbatasan interpretasi). Penelitian ini terbatas pada sumber data dan rentang waktu tertentu. Studi selanjutnya disarankan untuk memperluas cakupan sumber dan periode publikasi guna memperoleh tinjauan yang lebih komprehensif. Trends and shifts in Structural Equation Modeling applications in growth mindset research Abstract: This study aims to examine the application of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in research on growth mindset. A systematic literature review was employed, using journal articles and conference proceedings sourced from Scopus and Google Scholar via the Publish or Perish application. Inclusion criteria included: publications from the last five years (2020–2024), English-language articles, and explicit use of SEM in studies on growth mindset. Data were analyzed descriptively and through content analysis, with visualization using VOSviewer. The findings indicate that SEM is commonly used to model mediating and moderating relationships between growth mindset and internal factors (e.g., grit, motivation) as well as external factors (e.g., social support, classroom climate), particularly in educational contexts focusing on student academic achievement. Methodological challenges include sample size and validity issues, while conceptual challenges relate to definitional variation and limitations in interpretation. This study is limited to specific data sources and a restricted publication range. Future research is recommended to broaden data sources (e.g., adding Web of Science, ERIC, or ProQuest) and extend the publication period to provide a more comprehensive literature review.
