Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of scientific approach-based Islamic Education learning strategies at SD Al-Ittihadiyah Mamiyai Bromo, as well as the challenges faced in its implementation. The scientific approach, which emphasizes the development of critical and analytical thinking skills, was applied to make students more active and engaged in Islamic learning. The results of the study indicate that the observation, experimentation, and discussion methods used in IEP based on a scientific approach are effective in increasing student engagement in learning and deepening their understanding of Islamic teachings. However, the main challenges faced are limited technological facilities, changes in the mindset of teachers and students, and limited time allocation for more interactive learning. Nevertheless, the application of the scientific approach has a positive impact on improving students' understanding of Islam and helping them apply religious teachings in their daily lives. This study contributes to the development of more relevant and applicable methods of Islamic education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This research was carried out to clearly determine the influence of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model on students' social literacy. This research was conducted at SDS IT DELISHA in class IV which was carried out on two experimental and control groups whose samples were from classes IV-A and IV -B. This study uses a quantitative approach. The research design used is pretest and posttest which is guided by the research instrument. The results of the research show that research on the influence of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning model on students' social literacy based on the activities carried out by students is in the very good category. This analysis data is obtained from student learning results before and after the test. Apart from that, Normality test analysis, Homogeneity test, and continued with sample T-test were also carried out. The average score obtained when carrying out the pretest for each group of students in class IV A as a whole was 69.75 and in class IV B as a whole was 64.2. After implementation, it was discovered that the average posttest score on social literacy for class IV A students using the CIRC model as a whole was 81.15. And in class IV B using the conventional model the overall score was 76.75. So the conclusion is that the learning outcomes in experimental class IV A were higher than those in control class IV B.

Abstract

Penelitian ini diasumsikan untuk mengetahui seberapa berpengaruhnya model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 106156 Klumpang Kebun sebanyak 40 orang, digunakan 2 kelas yang berbeda sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang masing-masing terdiri dari 20 siswa. Tes penelitian terdiri dari 20 pertanyaan pilihan berganda. Selain itu data di analisis menggunakan uji Independent Sample T-test yang dievaluasi sebelum dan sesudah ujian. Kemudian berdasarkan data statistik diperoleh nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000<0,005 yang berarti menolak H0 dan menerima Ha, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar Matematika siswa yang menggunakan Model Pembelajaran TGT di kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan hasil belajar Matematika siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional di kelas kontrol.

Abstract

The ability to read, write, and count (Calistung) is a fundamental skill that elementary school students must master as a foundation for further learning. In Tebing Tanjung Selamat Village, Padang Tualang Sub-district, Langkat Regency, students' Calistung proficiency remains low due to the lack of varied teaching methods and the underutilization of the surrounding natural environment as a learning resource. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve students’ Calistung skills through the integration of the natural environment into the learning process. The program was implemented through teacher training, the development of contextual learning modules based on the local environment, and direct assistance during learning activities. The results of the program show a significant improvement in students' Calistung abilities, as indicated by the increase in average pre-test and post-test scores. Active participation from teachers, students, and the local community played a key role in the program’s success. In addition to improving students' basic competencies, the program produced valuable outputs such as learning modules and best practices that can be replicated in other rural areas with similar characteristics. Environment-based learning has proven to be effective, enjoyable, and relevant for enhancing students’ basic skills in rural settings.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Advance Organizer learning model on students’ social literacy skills compared to conventional learning models. The research employed a true experimental design with non-probability sampling, involving 27 fourth-grade students as the experimental class and 27 fifth-grade students as the control class. The research instrument was a social literacy test administered through pretest and posttest. Data analysis included normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test using SPSS version 26. The results showed that the data were normally distributed (Sig. 0.188 > 0.05) and The t-test obtained a significance value of 0.013 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class and the control class. The average posttest score of the experimental class was 86.30, while the control class scored 79.26. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Advance Organizer learning model is more effective in improving students’ social literacy skills compared to conventional learning models

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of a local wisdom-based Value Clarification Technique (VCT) model on elementary students’ personality character values in geometry learning. The research addresses the limited integration of character education within cognitively oriented mathematics instruction. The objective is to examine differences in personality character values between students taught using the VCT model integrated with the ulos sadum cultural motif and those receiving conventional instruction. A quantitative true experimental design with a posttest-only control group was employed. A total of 120 fourth-grade students were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire measuring moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. Instrument validity and reliability were confirmed through confirmatory factor Analysis using PLS-SEM. Statistical analyses included normality and homogeneity tests, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression. The results indicate a significant difference between groups, with the experimental group achieving higher character scores. The VCT model accounted for 54.5% of the variance in personality character values. The findings demonstrate that integrating value clarification with culturally contextualised mathematics learning effectively strengthens students’ character development.

Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kesadaran lingkungan adalah keterampilan krusial yang harus digunakan sejak awal untuk menghadapi meningkatnya kerusakan alam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dampak metode pengajaran Bersama Alam terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kesadaran lingkungan siswa di SDN 026407 Binjai Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, pustaka survei, dan penggunaan instrumen pre-test dan post-test. Pengujian homogenitas, dalam analisis data menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS, uji normalitas dan uji hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan Uji T Sampel Independen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data memiliki distribusi normal dan homogen. Tingkat signifikansi hipotesis adalah 0,047, yang sedikit kurang dari 0,05. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima, artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada hasil rata-rata pembelajaran tentang lingkungan dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode belajar bersama alam lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan mengasah logika berpikir siswa, serta menjadi alternatif pembelajaran yang efektif dalam mempersiapkan siswa menjadi generasi yang berwawasan terhadap lingkungan dan terampil dalam menyelesaikan masalah secara tepat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru dalam menanamkan nilai tanggung jawab pada siswa kelas VI SD Swasta PAB 25 Mabar Hilir. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas guru kelas VI dan siswa kelas VI. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki peran penting dalam menanamkan nilai tanggung jawab melalui lima aspek utama. Aspek tersebut meliputi mendorong kesadaran siswa untuk berpartisipasi aktif, membimbing siswa menyelesaikan tugas dan kewajiban, mengarahkan siswa menerima konsekuensi dari tindakan yang dilakukan, meningkatkan keaktifan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, serta menjaga fokus dan konsistensi belajar siswa. Guru menanamkan nilai tanggung jawab melalui pemberian kesempatan bertanya, motivasi, penjelasan tugas yang jelas, pemantauan tugas, pemberian konsekuensi yang mendidik, pembagian peran dalam kelompok, serta penguatan positif. Meskipun demikian, masih ditemukan siswa yang pasif, kurang fokus, dan perlu diingatkan dalam menyelesaikan tugas. Dengan demikian, penanaman nilai tanggung jawab perlu dilakukan secara konsisten melalui pembiasaan, keteladanan, pengawasan, dan kerja sama antara guru, sekolah, serta orang tua.

Abstract

Science literacy and ecological awareness are essential competencies in 21st-century education; however, elementary learning often emphasizes conceptual understanding rather than real-life application, resulting in low student engagement and limited environmental awareness. Previous studies have examined experiential learning or inquiry approaches separately, but comparative studies integrating both cognitive and affective outcomes remain limited. This study aims to analyze and compare the effects of an experiential learning approach grounded in the environment and an inquiry approach on students’ science literacy and ecological awareness. This research employed a quantitative posttest-only design involving two experimental groups with a total of 144 elementary students. Data were collected using a science literacy test adapted from the PISA framework, an ecological awareness questionnaire, and a student response questionnaire. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that the experiential learning approach has a significant positive effect on both science literacy and ecological awareness and is more effective than the inquiry approach. In contrast, student responses do not significantly influence learning outcomes. These findings highlight the importance of direct and contextual learning experiences in improving both cognitive and environmental competencies. This study contributes to the development of experiential learning in elementary education and provides practical implications for designing more meaningful and sustainability-oriented learning.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat baca siswa sekolah dasar yang disebabkan oleh berbagai hal, yang paling besar pengaruhnya adalah dampak negatif dari gadget. Kecanduan penggunaan gadget semakin memperparah keadaan ini, sehingga pengabdian ini dirasa sangat diperlukan untuk menemukan paradigma baru di dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa sekolah dasar. Secara khusus pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa sekolah dasar melalui belajar bersama masyarakat. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di desa Bakaran Batu Kecamatan Lubuk Pakam Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2023 yang dilakukan sebanyak 3 kali pertemuan. Kegiatan ini menggunakan langkah-langkah diantaranya: 1) Penyuluhan dan Pelatihan; 2) Kegiatan Belajar Bersama; dan 3) Pemantauan dan Evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini telah memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam upaya meningkatkan literasi dan kualitas pendidikan di lingkungan tersebut. Keberhasilan program ini tidak hanya terlihat dari peningkatan minat baca siswa, tetapi juga dari perubahan positif dalam pola pikir dan perilaku masyarakat terhadap pentingnya literasi sebagai kunci menuju masa depan yang lebih cerah. Dengan mempertahankan komitmen dan kerja sama yang baik antara berbagai pihak, diharapkan program ini dapat terus berkembang dan memberikan dampak yang lebih besar lagi di masa mendatang.
