Abstract

The failure of exclusive breastfeeding is a common occurrence in Indonesia, despite the government's recommendation for exclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to identify the risk factors for the failure of exclusive breastfeeding. This research utilized a literature review or literature study using a descriptive method. The literature search was conducted through publications in two databases, PubMed and Google Scholar. A strategic search method was employed to obtain journals using the keywords "Factors influencing the failure of exclusive breastfeeding." The inclusion criteria used were journals that discussed factors influencing the failure of exclusive breastfeeding in breastfeeding mothers and were accessible in full text. The journal timeframe was limited to 2017-2023. From the search results: the researcher found 413 articles using PubMed and 6,220 articles using Google Scholar that matched the keywords. Out of those, 10 articles were found that met the criteria and could be used in the literature review. The risk factors for the failure of exclusive breastfeeding are unsupportive spouses, giving birth in primary healthcare facilities, and receiving misinformation from healthcare provider.

Abstract

Anemia is one of the problems of various public health problems that globally affect 1.62 billion people in the world. Anemia in young women is still a big public health problem because the prevalence is still around 20%, which is 21.7%. Anemia status in adolescents is thought to be influenced by several factors, namely knowledge and adherence to taking iron tablets. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the relationship between knowledge and adherence to blood supplement consumption with the incidence of anemia in young women. This study used a systematic review design obtained from Google Scholar and PubMed which was then filtered according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. There is a significant relationship between adherence to blood supplement consumption and the incidence of anemia in young women in Indonesia. This means that the more obedient in consuming iron tablets, the female adolescent Hb level will increase. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, it was found that the incidence of anemia in young women was influenced by adherence in taking iron tablets.

Abstract

Anemia is a condition in which the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood is insufficient. Our previous study found that in Soreang Regency, which is a rural area, the prevalence of anemia among female students was 14.3%. The government is running an iron supplementation program to treat IDB in young people. This research uses a literature review. A literature search through journal publications in PubMed and also Google Scholar using the keywords "risk factor" and "anemia" obtained from PubMed a total of 7 articles included in inclusion and 4 Google Scholar articles included in this research. This study found a longitudinal relationship between total anemia iron intake/day and IDA in adolescents. Several cross-sectional studies have shown that iron intake is significantly associated with anemia. The nutritional status of adolescents can be improved by consuming nutritional complementary foods. Nutritional status is positively correlated with hemoglobin concentration, ie. H. The worse a person's nutritional status, the lower the Hb level. Teenage girls are more susceptible to anemia because they tend to look thin and want to limit their nutritional intake, and girls menstruate every month. Iron loss is estimated to be ± 1.3 mg/day, so iron requirements are higher than for men.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that every day in 2017, around 810 women die from problems or complications of pregnancy and childbirth that are preventable. One of the complications in childbirth is prolonged labor, analysis of data from the World Health Organization shows that in 2017 prolonged labor was the direct cause of labor complications with an incidence of 69,000 or 2.8% of all maternal deaths worldwide. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of giving treatment in the left oblique position and the upright position on the progress of labor in the active phase of the first stage of labor in giving birth mothers. This type of research uses a literature study or literature review with a descriptive research method. This study uses 2 databases, namely PubMed and Google Scholar. The strategy search method for obtaining journals uses the keywords "Effectiveness of Left Oblique Position on Labor Progress" or "Effect of Upright Position on Labor Progress" or "Labor Position Affecting Progress in the First Stage of the Active Phase". Furthermore, a screening of available titles, abstracts and full text was carried out on 1,180 articles and 15 articles were obtained that were suitable for inclusion and exclusion extraction. The results of the study obtained 15 literature that examined the effectiveness of labor positions to accelerate progress during the active phase. The conclusion of this study is that the left side position and the upright position affect the progress of labor in the first active phase of the mother giving birth.

Leucorrhoea is an unusual discharge other than blood from the vaginal canal, whether smelly or not, and accompanied by local itching. Leucorrhoea in adolescents can be caused by poor genital care. Lack of knowledge and attitudes in protecting the female area causes vaginal discharge. Efforts to improve health can be done through health education. This type of research uses a literature study or literature review with a descriptive research method. This study uses 2 databases: PubMed and Google Scholar. The search strategy method for obtaining journals uses the keywords "Relationship of Knowledge and Attitudes towards Leucorrhoea in Adolescents" or "relationship of knowledge and behavior with vaginal discharge. Furthermore, the available abstract and full text titles were screened for 21 articles and 8 suitable articles were obtained. The results of the study obtained 8 literature that examined the relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards vaginal discharge in adolescents. The conclusion of this study is that there is no significant relationship to the vaginal discharge studied.

Abstract

The newborn mortality rate is one of the indicators used to describe the health status of the community. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2015 the infant mortality rate in the world reached 54 per 1000 live births, in developing countries the infant mortality rate was relatively high and very varied, reaching 11-68 per 1000 live births, while in Southeast Asia the IMR reached 39 per 1000 live births, of which 21% are caused by infection (WHO, 2016). The reason is because there is still a lack of knowledge of mothers in caring for newborns, especially for preventing infection of the umbilical cord. This study aims to describe the knowledge of postpartum mothers regarding umbilical cord care in newborns. This type of research is in the form of a literature review with a descriptive method. This literature search is through publications in two databases, namely Pubmed and Google Scholar. The search strategy method for obtaining journals uses the keywords "Umbilical Cord Care" or "Knowledge". Furthermore, from the search results, the researcher found 179 articles using PubMed, and 6,080 using the appropriate Google Scholar based on keywords. After that, a title screening was carried out according to the topic of the literature review, obtained 4,100 articles and obtained 17 articles that met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. The results of the study obtained 17 articles that examined the level of knowledge of mothers about umbilical cord care. The conclusion of this study is that the level of mother's knowledge influences the care of the umbilical cord in order to reduce the incidence of umbilical cord infection. It is hoped that health workers can play an active role in providing education to the public and can improve the quality and quantity of services so that they can detect abnormalities in pregnant women from an early age and increase counseling about umbilical cord care
