Abstract

The discourse of integration is a necessity in the educational process. Several Islamic boarding schools have carried out this integration process, with the Al-Amien Prenduan Sumenep Islamic Dirosat Institute as a university in the Al-Amien Prenduan Islamic boarding school environment. This study aims to describe (1) the pattern of educational integration in IDIA Prenduan. (2) continuity and changes in the integration of the higher education system and Islamic boarding school education at IDIA Prenduan. This research approach is qualitative with a case study type. Data collection is carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation. The existing data are then interactively analyzed by Miles & Huberman models. Test the validity of the data through source triangulation and technique triangulation. This research resulted in two conclusions (1) integration patterns in IDIA Prenduan Sumenep, including educational curriculum, student activities, and institutional management. Then, the integration gives birth to consequences of continuity and change. (2) Continuity and change; systems that experience continuity are leadership values, the application of boarding education formats, and the merging of the TMI curriculum and the college curriculum. Meanwhile, changes occurred in intensive institutional positions, changes in the status of universities and the increase of study programs, the increase in lecture programs in universities, and changes in the functions of rectors in the structure.

Abstract

Discussions and in-depth analyses of Ibn Khaldun's thoughts continue to be carried out and are relevant in the context of modernity. Ibn Khaldun's thoughts are not just a high concept and are quite a subject of debate, but they have also become an essential foundation in the world of education to this day. The important thing in Ibn Khaldun's thought is his effort to link precisely and consistently the development of education with the development of human potential (nature) to support the development of a human level under Islamic teachings. For this reason, this article will focus on studying Ibn Khaldun's concept of Islamic education from a modern perspective. This study used a qualitative approach to library research. Researchers deepen, study, and identify existing knowledge in the literature related to Ibn Khaldun's thoughts on Islamic education. The primary data source for this research is the book "Al-Muqaddimah" by Ibn Khaldun. At the same time, the secondary data utilizes previous research regarding Ibn Khaldun's thoughts and the figures' modern thoughts as a comparison. Data analysis in this study used text analysis techniques. Abstract

This study aims to describe and find two things (1) the concept of ru>hul mudarris (teacher's soul) at Tahfidh Putri Al-Amien Prenduan Middle School (2) the role of the principal in increasing ru>hul mudarris (teacher's soul) at Tahfidh Putri Al Middle School Al-Amien Prenduan. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study type. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. To analyze the data that has been collected, interactive data reduction, data display, and conclusion are drawn. This study concludes two essential things. First, the concept of ru>hul mudarris (teacher's soul) in SMP Tahfidh Putri Al-Amien Prenduan is the concept of ru>hul mudarris (teacher's soul) based on adab or ethics, the concept of ru>hul mudarris (teacher's soul) is skill-based ruhiyah, and the concept of ru>hul mudarris (teacher soul) based on the Qur'anic soul. Second, the principal in improving ru>hul mudarris (teacher's soul) acts as a leader/manager, supervisor and coach, and motivator.

Abstract

Abstrak Perbincangan budaya moralitas dalam pendidikan sekolah menjadi suatu hal yang sangat esensial. Beberapa tokoh pendidikan memfokuskan pemikiran dalam sebuah karya yang membahas secara utuh permasalahan pendidikan. Neil Postman menekankan bahwa pendidikan moral harus menjadi bagian integral dari kurikulum dan diintegrasikan ke setiap pelajaran. Azyumardi Azra menekankan bahwa pendidikan moral harus berdasarkan pada kearifan lokal, nilai-nilai budaya, dan spiritualitas yang dianut oleh masyarakat setempat. Azyumardi Azra juga menekankan bahwa pendidikan moral harus mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan empati sehingga peserta didik dapat memahami dan menghargai budaya dan pandangan yang berbeda. Neil Postman dan Azyumardi Azra memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami konstruk gagasan budaya moralitas dalam pendidikan sekolah dengan menekankan bahwa pendidikan moral harus mencakup aspek intelektual, moral, spiritual, dan harus mencerminkan nilai-nilai budaya dan masyarakat setempat. AbstractDiscussing the culture of morality in school education is very essential. Several educational figures focus their thoughts in a work that discusses educational issues as a whole. Neil Postman emphasizes that moral education must be an integral part of the curriculum and integrated into every lesson. Azyumardi Azra emphasizes that moral education must be based on local wisdom, cultural values, and spirituality adhered to by the local community. Azyumardi Azra also emphasized that moral education must develop critical thinking skills and empathy so that students can understand and appreciate different cultures and views. Neil Postman and Azyumardi Azra made an important contribution in understanding the construct of the idea of a culture of morality in school education by emphasizing that moral education must include intellectual, moral, spiritual aspects, and must reflect local cultural and community values.

Abstract

ركز الباحث إلى أن يبحث شأن الطريقة التيجانية من شكل التخارج الذي قام به الشيخ جوهري والشيخ تيجاني والشيخ أحمد فوزي لكونهم ممارسين للطريقة التيجانية في معهد الأمين الإسلامي برندوان، وجميعهم قادة المعهد ورؤساء الأمور في فتراتهم الخاصة. يستخدم هذا البحث دراسة ظاهرية، مع طرق جمع البيانات للرصد والمقابلات والتوثيق، ويتم تحليل نتائج البحث باستخدام نظرية بناء الواقع الاجتماعي لبيتر إل بيرغر. وأخيرا حصل الاستنتاج على أن البناء الذي قام به المشايخ الثلاثة المقدمة في المعهد مشير إلى نفس الأهداف أي تخريج الطلاب المتفوقين في الدين من استيعاب القيم والشخصيات النبيلة، مثل التوبة، والصدق، والصبر، والتقوى، والاستقامة، والامتنان، والورع، والزهد، والتواضع، من خلال التدريس المستمر للكتب الصوفية، وتقديم الحياة المثالية لطلابهم دائما. بالنسبة إلى أن الشيوخ الثلاثة لديهم أشكال ولهجات مختلفة. حيثما قاد الشيخ جوهري بشكل فردي، بينما من فترة الشيخ تيجاني إلى الشيخ أحمد فوزي تم تشكيل مجلس الرياسة، والذي نفذ الإدارة الحديثة والقيادة الجماعية. أشرك الشيخ جوهري الطلاب في الطريقة التيجانية، باختلاف ما لم يحث عليه الاثنان الآخران الطلاب على اتباع الطريقة التيجانية.This study constructs the form of externalization performed by Kiai Djauhari, Kiai Tidjani, and Kiai Ahmad Fauzi as practitioners of the Tijaniyah Order at the Al-Amien Prenduan Islamic Boarding School, all of which are leaders and caregivers based on their respective periods. Moreover, while this is phenomenological-based research, its data collection methods appear to consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, the research findings are analyzed through the theory of Social Reality Construction of Peter L Berger. In accordance with the conclusion, it revealed that the construction carried out by the three Kiais at the Islamic Boarding School possesses the same meaning, namely to produce mutafaqquh fiddin students by internalizing noble values and characters such as repentance, honesty, patience, god-fearing piety (taqwa), steadfastness (istiqamah), gratitude, abstinence (wara’), asceticism (zuhud’), sincerity and humility by continuously teaching the books of Sufism as well as providing an exemplary life for their students. However, the three of them have different forms and accentuations. While Kiai Djauhari seemed to lead individually, either Kiai Tidjani or Kiai Ahmad Fauzi appeared to lead by forming a Riasah Council which implemented modern management and collegial leadership in their respective periods. In addition, while Kiai Djauhari involved students in practicing the Tijaniyah Order, it seemed that the other two did not encourage students to do so.

Abstract

Some children feel tired in learning and sleepy during teaching and learning activities. Class hours on Islamic religious education materials are also at time that cause children to feel sleepy. From this problem comes the saturation of learning that occurs in student. The aim of this research is to find out what the conditions for learning boredom are and what PAI teacher’s strategies are for overcoming learning boredom. The qualitative method is the method that will be used in this research, based on descriptive studies. This type of research in a case study. The research location is centered on Marhalah Tsanawiyah TMI Putri Al-Amien Prenduan. The technique for determining informants uses the purposive method. Data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis through data presentation, data reduction, and conclusions. The results show that the condition of learning boredom is characterized by 3 aspects, namely sleepiness, dizziness and chatting alone. The cause of learning boredom is due to busy activities and too much material. The time when learning boredom occurs during assignments and explanations of material. With learning boredom occurring, teachers use 4 strategies, namely the motivation method, educational punishment method, ice breaking method and integrative method.

Abstract

Masyarakat Madura seringkali terjebak dalam stereotipe karena dua hal. Pertama, konflik dalam masyarakat Madura kadang berujung carok. Kedua, para peneliti Madura cenderung memusatkan perhatian pada tindak kekerasan dan perilaku carok. Stereotipe itu pun berakibat pada budaya budaya pemukiman tanèan lanjâng. Padahal beberapa fakta menyatakan bahwa sistem permukiman tanèan lanjâng menjadi suatu lingkungan yang nihil carok. Masyarakat tanèan lanjâng di Omben, Kabupaten Sampang misalnya telah menjadi best practice dalam mengelola konflik sehingga menjadi suatu daerah nihil carok. Artikel ini hendak mencari dua hal. Pertama, pola harmonisasi dalam kehidupan masyarakat tanèan lanjâng. Kedua, berusaha menginventarisasi penguat harmonisasi sosial dalam masyarakat Madura yang dikemas dalam sistem tanèan lanjâng. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan jenis studi kasus. Data-data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sementara analisis data dilakukan dengan siklus analisis data interaktif. Dalam menguji keabsahan data dilakukan triangulasi sumber, metode, dan waktu. Kesimpulan yang didapat antara lain, pola harmonisasi sosial dalam kearifan lokal masyarakat tanèan lanjâng, terdiri dari empat pola. Pertama, Rasionalitas instumental yang ditujukan untuk terciptanya kerukunan dan keharmonisan. Kedua, rasionalitas nilai yang diwariskan para leluhur. Ketiga, tindakan tradisional yang didasari oleh asas-asas kearifan lokal yang mengakar sebagai tradisi. Keempat, tindakan afektif yang merupakan dorongan reflektif emosi dan perasaan. Sementara itu, kehidupan harmoni dalam masyarakat tanèan lanjâng dikuatkan oleh dua simpul pengikat. Pertama, kekeluargaan. Entitas kekeluargaan yang tergambar dalam struktur bangunan dan keluarga batih dalam pemukiman tanèan lanjâng. Kedua, kehidupan harmoni dalam masyarakat tanèan lanjâng diperkuat oleh tradisi dan dogma agama yang diinternalisasi secara kontinyu.

Abstract

The problem of the identity of educational institutions is a matter of awareness, attitudes, and actions. Institutions with a clear identity also produce clearer educational processes, ecosystem and relations between educational institutions. The problem is that Islamic educational institutions are often seen as monolithic and stigmatized as second-class educational institutions. For this reason, this article focuses on constructing the identity of SDIT Al-Hidayah and SDIT Al-Wathaniyah in Sumenep, Madura. To answer the focus of this article, a qualitative approach was used by choosing the type of case study based on a multi-site design. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using an interactive analysis model, which included data collection, condensation, data display, and conclusions. Credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests were conducted to determine the validity of the data. The results of this study indicate that, in general, the construction of the identity of Integrated Islamic Primary Schools in Sumenep consists of three essential elements, namely Islamicity, integration and locality. Islamicity means that the entire identity of the integrated Islamic schools is based on the Islamic values of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah. The identity of integration refers to the integration of the curriculum, the roles of teachers and parents, the identity of the soul of educators, and the integration of institutions under one foundation. Meanwhile, local identity is an identifying identity taken from local wisdom, such as a Qur'ani-inspired school, a madrasah-nuanced school, and a philanthropic school.
