Abstract

Rapid developments in the area of information technology have transformed the nature of social interactions among people in the world. Da’wa, as a form of social interaction aimed at conveying the teachings of Islam towards all people in the world, changes as the platform of undertaking the Da’wa itself, the available media of interactions, change. The aim of this paper is to analyze the strategy of Ustadz Abdul Somad (UAS), the currently most popular preacher in Indonesia, in utilizing the internet for the purpose of Da’wa (Islamic propagation). Findings reveal that UAS’s success lies on his ability to persuade his audience to record his sermons and post them individually to the internet, especially on video-sharing platform of youTube.com. Abdul Somad even claimed himself as a preacher of million viewers. However, his sermons are mostly uploaded to the internet by his audiences. Abdul Somad does not rely on professional team to craft his sermons and post them online. This strategy of allowing his audience to create and share user generated contents is proven to highly successful. Not only that Abdul Somad is able to secure millions of viewers online, it also helps him to multiply the proliferation of his sermons with relatively no cost.

Abstract

This research aims to identify types of wayang and analyze the values ​​of Islamic education contained in it. This research used a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a qualitative approach. The data were obtained from Google Scholar and ScienceDirect. Then, a bibliometric analysis was performed to understand the bibliographic landscape with VOSviever. To gain credibility of the data as the main findings of 24 article documents, Publish or Perish was used. The Nvivo application was also used to guarantee the validity of the data as the data was obtained. The findings revealed that first, the types of wayang played by puppeteers and stories (characters) that have elements of Islamic education, including (1) Wayang Beber, (2) Wayang Orang, (3) Wayang Golek, (4) Wayang Purwa, (5) Wayang Menak, (6) Wayang Syadat, (7) Wayang Sukuraga, (8) Wayang Gung, (9) Wayang Tavip. Second, some of the values ​​of Islamic education contained in wayang art are strengthening the identity of Islamic values, integrating culture and religion, strengthening character education, providing an effective medium for preaching, and providing interactive and reflective learning. Thus, the internalization of Islamic education in wayang art has a relationship that combines religious values ​​and local culture.

Abstract

This study has a goal, namely the role of Wahdah Inspirasi Zakat (WIZ) in managing consumtive zakat in Tenggarong city. This research has aims to find out the inhibiting and supporting factors for Wahdah Inspirasi Zakat Tenggarong City in managing consumtive zakat. The type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The results of this study indicate that this amil zakat institution carries out two main roles in managing consumtive zakat in Tenggarong City. The first important role is to complement government programs, than the second is to provide a social safety net (JPS) for people who are entitled to receive in Tenggarong City. In this study there were inhibiting and dupporting factors, namely inaccurate data obtained, lack of human resources, and limited media. While the supporting factors was having many sympathizers and still under the auspices of community organizations. Keyword: Zakat, consumption Zakat, Wahdah Inspirasi Zakat
