Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of multicultural education ideals at Langlangbuana University, as well as the significance of multicultural education for students and lecturers at the university. As a research subject, Langlangbuana University may have been chosen because of its diversity or special initiatives in implementing multicultural education. This research can identify how these values are implemented in the curriculum, extracurricular activities, and university life in general. A qualitative case study methodology is used in this work. This research is organized and structured in such a way that it is based on facts that occur in the field to gain answers to the research questions. Each participant responds to questions about the implications and importance of values in intercultural education at Langlangbuana University by drawing on their knowledge of specific cases or experiences. Tolerance values, democratic values, justice values, and patriotic values are among the multicultural education values implemented at Langlangbuana University. In-depth observations and interviews were used to describe the attitudes of Langlangbuana University students and lecturers toward tolerance, democracy, justice, and patriotism. Despite their differing religions, they get along well and appreciate each other. The relevance of multicultural education at Langlangbuana University can help students and lecturers comprehend and be conscious of Indonesia's diversity, as well as create mutual respect and collaboration among students and lecturers. Aside from that, multicultural education can assist students and lecturers in creating a pleasant learning atmosphere with mutual respect between individuals from various backgrounds. This research could be one of the few or even the research that in-depth examines the implementation of multicultural education at Langlangbuana University.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of the Sarimukti Final Disposal Site (TPA) on the social environment in three elementary schools located around the site, as well as the perceptions of students, teachers, and parents regarding its impact. The Sarimukti TPA raises concerns about air, soil, and water pollution that can affect the health and well-being of the surrounding community, especially elementary school students. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study design, involving three school principals, six teachers, twenty students, and three parents as research subjects. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that the existence of the Sarimukti landfill has the potential to cause negative impacts on children's health and the social environment of the school and the surrounding community. These impacts affect not only physical conditions but also the social aspects and welfare of students, teachers, and parents. In addition to interactions in the teaching and learning process at school, students' interactions with the surrounding social environment, including physical environmental conditions, also determine the quality of education in primary schools. Thus, the existence of the landfill has a significant impact on the social environment and education in the area.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut guru dan siswa untuk beradaptasi dalam pembelajaran abad 21. Namun, observasi di SDN Margamulya menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan aplikasi desain grafis seperti Canva belum diterapkan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Kondisi ini berdampak pada keterbatasan inovasi guru dalam membuat media ajar serta rendahnya motivasi siswa dalam belajar. Oleh karena itu, tim Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Universitas Langlangbuana melaksanakan program pengabdian berupa Pelatihan Canva untuk Guru dan Pembelajaran Canva untuk Siswa. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi observasi kebutuhan, pelatihan guru, pembelajaran berbasis praktik untuk siswa kelas 5 dan 6, serta evaluasi hasil karya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kompetensi digital guru dan kreativitas siswa. Guru mampu menguasai fitur Canva untuk membuat media ajar yang interaktif, sementara siswa berhasil menghasilkan poster digital dengan tema menjaga lingkungan. Program ini membuktikan bahwa integrasi teknologi desain grafis dapat meningkatkan literasi digital, kreativitas, dan motivasi belajar, serta relevan untuk mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka.
