Abstract

The main health problem in Sumberjambe is stunting. It is known from the prevalence of toddlers who experience stunting of 80.8% which is caused by one of the stunting factors, namely early marriage. Sumberjambe Village has a fairly high number of early marriages. As many as 40% of couples of childbearing age are too young with marriages that are too early and have the potential to increase the incidence of LBW (Low Birth Weight) so that health programs are needed such as P2GBS (Prevention and Eradication of a Stunting Free Generation) which includes educational activities regarding early marriage and giving blood tablet. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of early marriage education activities and giving blood tablets. The activity was carried out using the socialization and discussion method with the target students of MTs Al-Wafa Sumberjambe using poster media, educational videos, early marriage modules and blood-adding tablets, power points, early marriage tote bags, and pre-test and post-test sheets. The results of this study from the activities carried out showed that there was an increase in target understanding in early marriage education by 9.42% with a pre-test result of 32.83% and a post-test of 42.25% where the activity had an effectiveness result of >1 so that the activity was effectively carried out to help reduce the prevalence of stunting in Sumberjambe Village.

Abstract

Background: Work-life balance is a condition that occurs when the demands of work and the demands of personal life are balanced. Previous research stated that work-life balance for lecturers was achieved during the Work-from-Home (WFH) or online learning. However, it is known that the current learning system has returned to the offline system. Purpose: The purpose of the research was to determine factors of work-life balance among Jember University lecturers. Method: This type of research is observational analytics using a cross-sectional research design. The instrument used in the research was a work-life balance questionnaire developed by Fisher. The population for this research was 376 Jember University lecturers who were actively teaching. 128 respondents were taken as the sample. Sample selection in the research used a proportional random sampling technique and used the contingency coefficient and Chi-square statistical test. Result: The results showed that most respondents were male (54.7%), aged 28 to 46 years (64.1%), married (91.4%), had ≤2 children (62.5%), had functional positions of lectors (35.2%), had no structural positions (59.4%), and had no side jobs (68.8%). There was no significant relationship between sex (0.252), age (0.502), marital status (0.682), number of children (0.145), functional positions (0.312), structural positions (0.509), and side jobs (0.094) with work-life balance. Conclusion: Demographic and job characteristics do not affect the work-life balance among lecturers at University of Jember.

Abstract

Fishermen have an important role in supporting the Indonesian economy. On the other hand, fishing was the most dangerous job in the world with a very high risk of accidents and death. Therefore, it was necessary to study the safety aspects of fishermen as a basis for formulating protection policies for fishermen. This study aimed to examine aspects of personal safety when sailing for fishermen in Jember Regency. This research was a descriptive research. The research was conducted in Jember Regency in August-October 2022 involving 260 fishermen as respondents. Research data collected through interviews. Data were analyzed and presented using tables and cross-tabulations accompanied by narration. The results of this study indicated that there is a tendency that the older the respondents were, the more they pay attention to aspects of personal safety while sailing and the higher the education level of the respondents, the higher the awareness of personal safety while sailing. The government needs to work on improving personal safety aspects for fishermen, especially in terms of providing and using PPE.

Abstract

contributing to the global burden of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and other metabolic complications. This bibliometric study aims to analyze trends, thematic focuses, and collaborations in scientific publications related to insulin resistance in adult obesity, utilizing data from the Scopus database covering the period from 2019 to 2025. Bibliometric tools such as RStudio, Biblioshiny, and VoS Viewer were employed to extract and visualize findings from 8,037 publications. The results reveal that research activity peaked in 2021, followed by a decline in subsequent years. Dominant keywords, such as "insulin resistance," "obesity," and "metabolic syndrome," highlight the clinical and metabolic focus of current research. Biomolecular markers, such as "glycated hemoglobin" and the "triglyceride-glucose index," reflect a growing interest in more precise diagnostic tools. The United States, China, and Italy emerged as major contributors, with journals like Nutrients and Frontiers in Endocrinology leading in publications. Despite significant progress, there remains a considerable gap, particularly in exploring the role of epigenetics and the microbiota in insulin resistance. Additionally, cross-disciplinary collaboration and participation from institutions in developing countries remain limited. This study emphasizes the importance of global, interdisciplinary efforts to address these gaps and drive innovation in interventions, providing a foundation for future research aimed at reducing the impact of insulin resistance in adult obesity.
