Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze behavioral changes in religious radicalism and the factors that influence these behavioral changes. This type of research is qualitative, using a case study approach—the place of a research area that is categorized as Mataraman culture. The primary consideration is that the character of this region adheres to the notion of integration of religion, culture, and politics, which can be called a society with a harmonious character. The facts on the ground show this community with a culture of harmony has been exposed to radical ideas, especially among teenagers. For example, there were two raids on people suspected of being exposed to radicalism in Tulungagung. Data collection techniques are in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using Miles & Huberman's interactive model. The study results show that changes in behavior to become radical in religion are determined by several factors: the strength of belief, Daulah Islamiyyah as the subjective norm of the group, scriptural studies, and economic programs/activities to improve the welfare of members. These four factors strengthen the birth of the intention to turn into a radical in religion. A firm intention among youth serves to trigger the actualization of radical behavior in religion among youth. الملخصتهدف هذه الدراسة إلى وصف وتحليل التغيرات السلوكية في التطرف الديني ، والعوامل التي تؤثر على هذه التغيرات السلوكية. هذا النوع من البحث نوعي باستخدام نهج دراسة الحالة. مكان منطقة البحث المصنفة على أنها ثقافة ماتارامان. الاعتبار الرئيسي هو أن طبيعة هذه المنطقة تتمسك بفهم تكامل الدين والثقافة والسياسة ، والذي يمكن تسميته بمجتمع ذي طابع متناغم. تظهر الحقائق على الأرض أن هذا المجتمع الذي يتمتع بثقافة الانسجام قد تعرض لأفكار راديكالية ، خاصة بين المراهقين ، على سبيل المثال ، كانت هناك غارتان على الأشخاص المشتبه في تعرضهم للتطرف في تولونغاغونغ. تقنيات جمع البيانات هي المقابلات المتعمقة والملاحظة والتوثيق. تم تحليل البيانات التي تم جمعها باستخدام النموذج التفاعلي Miles & Hubermans. تظهر نتائج الدراسة أن التغيرات في السلوك ليصبح متطرفًا في الدين تتحدد بعدة عوامل هي ؛ قوة الإيمان ، الدولة الإسلامية كقاعدة ذاتية للجماعة ، والدراسات الكتابية ، والبرامج / الأنشطة الاقتصادية لتحسين رفاهية الأعضاء. هذه العوامل الأربعة تعزز ولادة نية التحول إلى راديكالية في الدين. تعمل النية القوية لدى الشباب على تفعيل السلوك الراديكالي في الدين بين الشباب. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis perubahan perilaku radikalisme beragama, dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perubahan perilaku tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Tempat penelitian wilayah yang masuk kategori budaya Mataraman. Pertimbangan utamanya adalah karakter wilayah ini menganut paham integrasi agama, budaya, dan politik dapat disebut sebagai masyarakat berkarakter harmoni. Fakta dilapangan menunjukkan komunitas masyarakat yang berbudaya harmoni  ini telah terpapar paham radikal terutama kalangan remaja, misalnya dua kali terjadi penggerebekan orang yang diduga terpapar paham radikal di Tulungagung. Teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah Interview mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data-data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles & Hubermans. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa perubahan perilaku menjadi radikal dalam beragama ditentukan oleh beberapa faktor, yaitu; kekuatan keyakinan, Daulah Islamiyyah sebagai norma subyektif kelompok, kajian-kajian yang bersifat skriptural, dan program/kegiatan ekonomi untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan anggota. Keempat faktor ini menguatkan lahirnya niat untuk berubah menjadi radikal dalam beragama. Niat yang kuat pada kalangan pemuda berfungsi memicu aktualisasi perilaku radikal dalam beragama di kalangan pemuda.

Abstract

Introduction. In academic libraries, transformational and situational leadership is important as it can change organizational behavior and increase the staff performance.There is limited discussion types of leadership. This research discusses two types of leadership and develops a framework in academic libraries of ideal leadership. Data Collection Method. The paper used a qualitative approach and considered literature review from books, journals, and other sources related to the theme. Data Analysis. The paper analyzed various literature, examined and selected data, developed a theoretical framework, and conceptualized the contents. Result and Discussions. Transformational leadership in the academic library is appropriate to create a vision, however, staff commitments develop slowly. The leadership can be appropriately applied to the academic library with a few human resource as itemphasizes two-way communication to motivate staff. Meanwhile, in the situational leadership, organizational vision can be achieved when staff commitments are developed effectively. The situational leadership can be implemented in the academic libraries with large number of staff by using direct and two-way interaction, as staff motivation may increase when they are trusted. Conclusion. The transformational and situational leadershipsare effective when applied to the proper circumstances to achieve set goals. Library leaders need to consider strengths and weaknesses of the leadership style.

Abstract

From the research on the translation of the Quran, in various countries in the center of places of worship, it is known that there are already translations so that it is hoped that it will increase interest in reading and understanding the contents of the Quran. The translation of the Quran is an interpretation of the holy book of Islam in a language other than Arabic. The Quran has been translated into most languages by the translator. The translation of the Quran has always been a troubled and difficult issue in Islamic theology. Because Muslims respect the Quran as a miracle and incomparable (i'jaz al-Quran), they argue that the Quranic text cannot be reproduced in other languages or other forms. The translation of the Quran in its history undergoes a lengthy process, for example from the question of authority or the legitimacy of the translator, the law of translation, coupled with the presence of the translation made by the Orientalists making many differences among the scholars in addressing the translation of the Quran.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the principal’s strategy for building an organizational culture in educational institutions. Because the principal has an important role in building an organizational culture to create a safe and pleasant atmosphere in learning, the type of research used is qualitative research. This research was conducted at Bojonegoro Regency. Sources of data taken are principals, teachers, and good students in collecting data using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Furthermore, in analyzing the data using data collection, data condensation, and conclusion. There are several organizational cultures developed by the principal, namely through religious culture, achievement culture, clean environment culture, discipline culture, and reading culture.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education is closely related to improving human resource. Meanwhile, the quality of human resources at school is a partly relied to the quality of the principal. A principal is responsible to the success or failure of education. The problem lies upon the difficulty to find a credible principal who can manage the institution quite well. The jobs of a principal are (1) encourage the teachers to have continuous professional development, (2) become role model for everybody at school, (3) make innovation for the institution.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the prophetic leadership of school principals in improving students' religious character with the prophetic leadership model of school principals. This type of research uses a qualitative variety with a case study approach, data collection techniques through observation of all learning activities, critical interviews with school principals, supporting documentation of the prophetic leadership model, data analysis techniques using Miles Huberman's theory, and data validation techniques using triangulation. This research resulted in a prophetic contribution to the concept of leadership by emphasizing the Prophet's excellence, namely sidiq (honest) in innovating to run leadership in schools, amanah (personal excellence) in managing infrastructure to support the development of students' religious character, tabligh (interpersonal capital) social interaction with the primary goal advancing the school without other interests, fatonah (intelligent) in planning the concept of instilling the values of the religious character of students in every line from the school's vision to the implementation in each work unit.

Abstract

Recognition of Religious Education in the National Education system, of course, will also demand an increase in the management of Religious Education institutions. The implementation of Madrasah Diniyah is accompanied by maximum planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision so that management in educational institutions is getting better and of higher quality. Based on the description above, the management of madrasah diniyah is an important matter to study. This research is a libraryresearch, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation, using data analysis and triangulation. The results showed that the management of Madrasah Diniyah Fathul 'Ulum Puton Diwek Jombang can be seen from the planning, organizing, movement and supervision. Planning is carried out in consultation with the caretaker of the cottage with the diniyah administrators as well as the ustadz. This plan focuses on the material or program being taught, the management of the madrasah madrasah, as well as the learning process for the madrasah madrasah. Organizing is done by creating an organizational structure according to the abilities possessed. This organizational structure was created to facilitate the implementation of madrasah diniyah. The movement can be seen from the activities of the madrasah diniyah every day which basically contain tafaquh fiddin activities, tahfidzul qur'an and entrepreneurial activities. And supervision is carried out by the head of the madrasah diniyah both vertically and horizontally to control how far this madrasah is running.
