Abstract

Basic programming training that teaches problem-solving logic has developed at all ages, from kindergarten, elementary school to higher education age. This happens because at this time, the concept of computing or informatics thinking has been considered to be a basic requirement in everyday life. Various forms of learning the concept of informatics thinking, are designed according to the user's age group so that users can enjoy it.  In the community service activities carried out this time, the target of basic programming training is Public High School students, which are open to all schools in Indonesia. This activity was implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic, so this activity was carried out online in the form of a bootcamp through the Zoom meeting application regularly in one month, which was led as a team by a lecturer and several teaching assistants. This training does not stop at delivering material and demonstrations from lecturers but also training assistance conducted by teaching assistants. The material in this training uses the Python programming language. Python was chosen to be used in the training, because currently Python is a programming language that is widely used for simple to complex programming such as data mining and machine learning. Participants can access training materials through the Learning Management System created by Universitas Surabaya to support the dissemination of knowledge to the wider community through the Ubaya Global Academy) platform. Based on the evaluation of the activities carried out before and after the activity was carried out, this activity is considered to provide benefits and can be carried out regularly every year and has follow-up classes.

Abstract

The canteen is a campus facility that the academic community needs. However, because it is considered a complementary facility, business processes in the canteen are carried out conventionally, relying on paper-based recording. In addition, at certain hours, especially at lunchtime, the canteen is overloaded due to too many orders co-occurring. This buildup of charges is due to the need for canteen preparation in preparing orders from its buyers. Therefore, this study developed an ordering system to recommend the menus that customers likely purchase. The case study used in this research is the Keluwih canteen on the Tenggilis campus, owned by the University of Surabaya. This research used the waterfall method and focused on three main canteen processes: online ordering with a repeat order recommendation model for sellers, delivery services, and payments using the e-wallet. The study's results were assessed qualitatively, and the respondents felt they got better and faster service. Furthermore, with this system's e-canteen application, the time needed to complete a transaction at the campus canteen can be done efficiently to increase customer satisfaction and employee productivity from tenants.

Abstract

Companies should do planning before the production process. Production planning is expected to avoid excessive or insufficient product stocks that harm the company. This study aims to help a plastic spoon company in Gresik, East Java to determine the optimal amount of production using the Fuzzy method. The input variables used are the amount of demand and supply. However, the amount of demand that fluctuated, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, made it difficult for the company to estimate the amount of demand in the upcoming production period. Therefore, in this study, the amount of demand is calculated from the results of forecasting with the Cencus II method. The results of the study provide an accuracy of the recommendations for the amount of production of 77% and an accuracy of forecasting results of 82%.

Abstract

Crackers are one of the food commodities favored by Indonesian people. Most of the cracker business actors are MSMEs. The main problem faced by many MSMEs is the lack of business knowledge, so they are often inferior to manufacturing businesses. The same thing was experienced by MSME crackers in Krembung District, Sidoarjo which was managed by Mr. Abdul Ghofur. In this service activity, the University of Surabaya Informatics Engineering has an assistance program through technology, to expand the market share that can be reached and help MSME financial management. The programs carried out are the development of an online market place information system that is integrated with the financial system. The activity begins with program socialization and problem analysis. After that, it is followed by application development, training, mentoring, as well as observation and evaluation. Finally, reflection is carried out for the continuation of further activities. The duration of this community service activity is eight months, including one month of assistance to ensure that MSME personnel are able to use the system properly. During the mentoring process, business processes at MSMEs can run more smoothly, where sales transactions are more centralized in the system, stock records are better, and owners can get financial information more accurately and easily. Therefore, it can be concluded that this community service activity went well and helped Mr. Abdul Ghofur's MSME business processes. Service activities will be developed by providing supplies in the form of digital marketing so that MSMEs can reach new customers to access this application.

Abstract

Abstract— Many factors are taken into consideration in choosing a rented house which is one of the problems that must be faced by tenants. Factors for choosing a house based on price are accompanied by the location of the rented house and then the facilities offered, such as the number of rooms, land area, number of bathrooms, electricity, clean water, land and building area and so on. To overcome the existing problems, we need a decision support system that can assist tenants in finding a rented house by considering the desired factors. From the results of the questionnaire, it was found that the tenants were dissatisfied with the search results because the recommendations that appeared varied, making it confusing to choose. Then tenants find it difficult to choose a house because there are too many alternatives offered. Meanwhile, the owner is dissatisfied with the application used in advertising because if you want his house to appear at the top of the search, you have to pay more. Therefore the author will create a decision support system that can recommend rented houses based on the criteria that tenants want. The system created uses the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The AHP method is used because AHP can provide an appropriate solution in making a multi-criteria decision and the decision can be accounted for. Keywords: ahp, house, rent, system, support, decision Abstrak— Banyak faktor menjadi pertimbangan dalam memilih sebuah rumah kontrakan adalah salah satu masalah ynag harus dihadapi oleh penyewa. Faktor-faktor pemilihan rumah berdasarkan harga diiringi dengan lokasi rumah kontrakan kemudian fasilitas yang ditawarkan seperti jumlah kamar, luas tanah, jumlah kamar mandi, daya listrik, air bersih, luas tanah dan bangunan dan sebagainya. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada, diperlukan sebuah sistem pendukung keputusan yang dapat membantu penyewa dalam mencari rumah kontrakan dengan mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor yang diinginkan. Dari hasil kuesioner yang didapat bahwa penyewa tidak puas dengan hasil pencarian karena rekomendasi yang dimunculkan beraneka ragam sehingga membuat bingung untuk memilih. Kemudian penyewa merasa kesulitan memilih rumah karena terlalu banyak alternatif yang ditawarkan. Sedangkan dari pemilik merasa tidak puas dengan aplikasi yang digunakan dalam beriklan karena jika ingin rumahnya muncul ke pencarian paling atas maka harus membayar lebih. Oleh karena itu penulis akan membuat sistem pendukung keputusan yang dapat merekomendasikan rumah kontrakan berdasarkan kriteria yang diinginkan penyewa. Sistem yang dibuat menggunakan metode Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Metode AHP digunakan karena AHP dapat memberi sebuah solusi yang tepat dalam mengambil sebuah keputusan multi kriteria dan keputusannya dapat dipertanggung jawabkan. Abstract

Developing the photocopy machine rental business from CV Yuda Pratama has caused problems, especially in the administration section. The due date, the amount of the photocopy machine rental fee, the minimum amount of paper usage (sheets), and the cost of excess paper usage (sheets) per month are different for each tenant, causing administrative officers often reopen a contract file or bill of lading the previous month to create a new invoice. This condition often results in delays in submitting invoices to tenants. The service activities aim to carry out training and mentoring activities to overcome existing administrative problems through increasing knowledge and skills in the use of information technology. The method used is Science and Technology Substitution, Training, and Mentoring. The substitution of science and technology was done by developing an application for automatically making photocopier rental invoices. This application will replace the old system that has been running using Microsoft Excel. The service activities show that administrative routines generally spend much time can be minimized by mastering information technology. The remaining time can be used to think about ways to improve customer service and develop existing businesses.ABSTRAKBerkembangnya usaha persewaan mesin fotocopy dari CV Yuda Pratama menyebabkan adanya permasalahan khususnya di bagian administrasi.  Tanggal jatuh tempo, besarnya biaya sewa mesin fotocopy, jumlah minimum pemakaian kertas (lembar), dan biaya kelebihan pemakaian kertas (lembar) per bulan yang berbeda-beda untuk setiap penyewa menyebabkan petugas administrasi seringkali harus membuka arsip surat kontrak atau nota tagihan bulan sebelumnya untuk membuat nota tagihan yang baru. Hal ini seringkali mengakibatkan terjadinya keterlambatan untuk memasukkan nota tagihan ke penyewa. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah melakukan kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan untuk mengatasi permasalahan administrasi yang ada melalui peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan penggunaan teknologi informasi.  Metode yang digunakan adalah Substitusi Ipteks, Pelatihan dan Pendampingan.  Substitusi Ipteks dilakukan dengan cara mengembangkan sebuah aplikasi pembuatan nota tagihan biaya sewa mesin fotocopy secara otomatis. Aplikasi ini akan menggantikan sistem lama yang selama ini dijalankan dengan menggunakan Microsoft Excel. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa rutinitas administrasi yang pada umumnya menghabiskan banyak waktu dapat diminimalisir dengan adanya penguasaan teknologi informasi dan sisa waktu yang ada dapat dimanfaatkan untuk memikirkan cara untuk meningkatkan layanan kepada pelanggan dan mengembangkan usaha yang ada

Abstract

“Struktur dan Fungsi Jaringan Organ Tumbuhan” merupakan salah satu materi dari pelajaran Biologi untuk siswa kelas VIII. Bagian yang paling sulit dipelajari dari materi ini adalah pengenalan struktur jaringan dari organ tumbuhan. Hal ini dikarenakan materi disampaikan dalam bentuk ceramah sehingga siswa tidak dapat melihat secara langsung struktur jaringan yang ada. Untuk dapat melihat secara langsung dibutuhkan bantuan alat pembesar. Gambar-gambar pendukung juga kurang membantu karena ukurannya kecil ataupun kurang jelas. Akibatnya materi ini terlihat abstrak bagi siswa sehingga siswa menjadi cepat bosan dan beberapa diantaranya melakukan aktifitas yang mengganggu kelas. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, dibuat sebuah aplikasi multimedia pembelajaran. Aplikasi ini dilengkapi berbagai fitur yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan peran aktif dan minat belajar siswa serta memudahkan guru dalam menyampaikan materi sehingga dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Pembuatan aplikasi diawali dengan menyebarkan kuisioner kepada siswa dan wawancara dengan guru Biologi Kelas VIII. Metode penyebaran kuisioner yang digunakan adalah kombinasi antara cluster sampling dengan simple random sampling. Data yang berhasil dikumpulkan dari siswa dan guru digunakan untuk membuat aplikasi multimedia pembelajaran. Untuk menjamin kesesuaian aplikasi dengan kebutuhan pengguna, aplikasi yang telah dibuat diujicobakan kepada siswa dan guru Biologi kelas VIII. Siswa diminta untuk melakukan pretest, post test, dan mengisi kuisioner. Sedangkan untuk guru dilakukan wawancara. Hasil ujicoba menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi yang dibuat dapat meningkatkan minat belajar dan pemahaman siswa akan materi “Struktur dan Fungsi Jaringan Organ Tumbuhan” sehingga layak dimanfaatkan untuk membantu proses belajar mengajar di sekolah.

Abstract

Abstrak: Gempa bumi dan angin puting beliung merupakan dua jenis bencana alam yang sering terjadi di Indonesia dan kerap menimbulkan kerusakan signifikan serta korban jiwa. Tingginya angka korban sering kali disebabkan oleh kurangnya edukasi kebencanaan sejak dini, terutama di tingkat sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini mengusulkan sebuah model pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) untuk meningkatkan literasi bencana pada anak usia sekolah dasar, khususnya terkait gempa bumi dan angin puting beliung. Sistem yang dikembangkan terdiri dari maket edukatif yang dilengkapi dengan sensor getar dan anemometer untuk mendeteksi simulasi guncangan dan hembusan angin. Sensor ini terhubung ke sebuah platform website edukasi yang menampilkan data real-time serta materi pembelajaran interaktif. Simulasi dilakukan dengan bantuan alat seperti kipas angin dan pengering rambut untuk mensimulasikan kondisi angin kencang, sedangkan guncangan dilakukan oleh pendidik secara langsung. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem berjalan dengan baik dan efektif membantu guru dalam menyampaikan materi edukasi kebencanaan secara lebih menarik dan mudah dipahami oleh siswa. Model ini berpotensi menjadi media pembelajaran yang inovatif dalam mendukung program mitigasi bencana di lingkungan pendidikan dasar.
