Abstract

This article discusses the calculation of Value at Risk (VaR) for stock portfolio usingMonte Carlo simulation. The standard deviation of return data of multiple stock andportfolio are normally distributed and used in the calculation of VaR. Monte Carlomethod is applied to simulate a new return value of stock and portfolio by generating arandom numbers based on the characteristics of the data, which is then used to estimatea VaR. The calculation of VaR at portfolio uses two assets which are Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SMGR.JK) and PT. Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR.JK).

Abstract

Pepin test provides a necessary and sufficient condition for a Fermat number to be a prime. Lucas-Lehmer test provides a necessary and sufficient condition for a Mersenne number to be a prime. In this article, we review a part of the work of Jaroma [European Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics Vol. 2, No. 3, 2009, (352-360)] that is the equivalence structure of Pepin test and Lucas-Lehmer test through Lehmer sequences so that both test can be used to check when a Fermat number or a Mersenne number to be a prime.

Abstract

Insurance companies provide the extended insurance policy and paid up insurance to policyholders  who canceled the insurance contract.  This policy aims to prevent the insurance company and the  policyholders  from losing their money.  This article discusses the extended insurance and insurance paid up of a joint life  policyholders whose age are  x  and  y  years joining  a term life insurance program.  The evaluation of  extended insurance and paid up insurance uses the commutation symbol. Abstract

Kriptosistem kunci publik seperti NTRU yang berdasarkan pada grup, dikenal dengan nama GTRU (Group Theory Research Unit) [1]. Dalam pengkonstruksian GTRU, tidak semua grup dapat digunakan. Hal ini disebabkan proses dekripsi pada GTRU  berhasil hanya pada grup dengan kondisi tertentu saja. Di [1], diberikan hanya dua contoh grup yang  dapat digunakan untuk mengkonstruksi GTRU, yaitu grup ${{\mathbb{Z}}^{\{{{\phi }_{i}}:1\le i\le n\}}}$ yang isomorfis dengan ${{\mathbb{Z}}^{n}}$ dan grup poly-$\mathbb{Z}$ ${{G}_{n}}={{\mathbb{Z}}^{n-3}}\times \mathcal{H}$ dimana $\mathcal{H}$ adalah grup Heisenberg Diskrit yang dapat diaplikasikan pada internet of thing (IoT). Pada tulisan ini disediakan beberapa pilihan grup lain yang dapat digunakan dan tidak dapat digunakan untuk mengkonstruksi kriptosistem GTRU.

Abstract

The Fibonacci and Lucas sequences have been generalized in many ways, some by preserving the initial conditions, and others by preserving the recurrence relation. One of them is defined by the relation B_n = B_{n−1} + B_{n−2}, n >= 2 with the initial condition B_0 = 2s, B_1 = s + 1 where s in Z. In this paper, we consider the reciprocal sums of B_n and B^2_n, with an established result that also involve Bn.

Abstract

First, this article presents the definition of left-right derivation and right-left derivation in BP-algebra, and their characteristic are explored. Then, we define the concept of inside and outside fq-derivation of BP-algebras. Finally, their properties are explored. Furthermore, the notion of fq-derivation within BP-algebra is synonymous with B-algebra; however, they do exhibit variations in their respective characteristics.

Abstract

Kalkulus merupakan salah satu materi penting dalam pembelajaran matematika di tingkat sekolah menengah atas, khususnya dalam pendidikan STEM. Namun, banyak guru mengalami kesulitan dalam menyusun soal yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pemahaman guru terhadap konsep kalkulus serta kemampuan mereka dalam mengembangkan soal yang dimodifikasi melalui program pengabdian masyarakat. Studi ini melibatkan 23 guru matematika sekolah menengah atas di Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti. Program ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan utama, yaitu: (1) asesmen awal menggunakan soal kalkulus yang mencakup persamaan, turunan, pertidaksamaan, dan kurva, (2) diskusi serta sesi pembelajaran terpandu, dan (3) latihan pembuatan soal modifikasi berdasarkan pertanyaan yang telah diberikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beberapa guru memiliki pemahaman yang baik terhadap konsep dasar kalkulus, namun banyak yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi integral. Selain itu, kemampuan guru dalam menyusun soal modifikasi bervariasi. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pelatihan profesional yang berkelanjutan serta kolaborasi antar lembaga pendidikan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pedagogik guru dalam pengajaran kalkulus. Inisiatif lanjutan perlu difokuskan pada peningkatan kompetensi guru, terutama dalam memahami dan mengajarkan topik kalkulus yang lebih kompleks seperti aplikasi integral.

Abstract

This paper explores the characteristics of two distinct ideal types within BP-algebra, specifically T-ideal and -ideal. Initially, we elucidate the characteristics of the T-ideal in BP-algebra, establishing its connections with the perfect, normal, and normal ideal in BP-algebra. Subsequently, we demonstrate that the kernel of a homomorphism in BP-algebra constitutes a T-ideal. Moving forward, we delineate the properties of -ideal in BP-algebra, highlighting its relationships with ideal and filter in the context of BP-algebra. Additionally, we explore the characteristics of -ideal and subalgebra in 0-commutative BP-algebra. Finally, it is proven that the kernel of a homomorphism in 0-commutative BP-algebra can be identified as an -ideal.

Abstract

The Desa Cinta Statistik (Cantik) program aims to improve the quality of statistical data produced by increasing literacy, awareness and the active role of village officials and the village statistical community. This program is also a form of the Statistics Study Program's participation in the implementation of community service and is a collaboration between the Statistics Study Program (lecturers and students of Real Work Lectures) with BPS and Villages. The activities carried out in the form of assisting village officials in improving sectoral data and village-specific data are expected to suffice the availability of data for village development as one of the efforts to make One Data Indonesia successful. This program will be implemented in Selat Baru Village, Bengkalis Regency. Based on the data that has been collected, there are several work programs carried out by the Selatbaru Integrated Community Service Program (Cinta Statistik) Selatbaru Team in 2022. Village officials as non-productive partners have improved their sectoral data management capabilities. The outputs of the activity are the publication of Selatbaru Village statistics, Selatbaru Village Profiles and Statistics, Infographics, Monographs, and Videographics.
