Abstract

Career planning is a fundamental component of students’ development because it shapes their future educational and occupational pathways. In many schools, however, career planning is constrained by limited guidance services, students’ low awareness of their interests and talents, and the scarcity of accessible career information media conditions that can lead to less informed career decisions. This study addresses a gap in prior digital career media, which often provide generic information without integrating a validated interest, talent mapping process, and counselor support functions; the novelty of the proposed application lies in combining interest talent profiling with personalized career information and counselor oriented features, thereby contributing conceptually to a data-informed and personalized model of digital based career guidance. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), data were collected through observations, interviews, a Student Career Media Needs Survey, and expert validations of content, design, and language. The findings indicate that the developed interest,  and talent, based career information application achieved a very valid rating in both content relevance and usability. The application enables students to explore their strengths, identify suitable career options, and access information on study programs across universities. Moreover, its digital format supports guidance counselors in identifying students’ potentials earlier and delivering more personalized career planning assistance. Overall, this application offers an effective and engaging tool for integrating technology into school based career guidance and making career exploration more meaningful, interactive, and aligned with contemporary learners’ needs.

Abstract

This research aims to develop guidelines for the implementation of group counseling using E-Book-based Rational Emotive Therapy (RET) to facilitate the confidence of high school students. The research model used is Research and Development (R&D) with a Four-D Model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) approach. The research subjects were students of Al-Fityah IT High School Pekanbaru, with data collected through interviews, observations, and questionnaires, then validated by media experts, material experts, and linguists. The results of the study showed that the E-Book products developed obtained a very high level of validity from the three validators, with an average validity value of 96.9%. In detail, the validation of media experts reached 97.33%, material experts 97.5%, and linguists 95.87%. This achievement shows that the E-Book is suitable for use as a practical guideline in the implementation of RET-based group counseling because it meets the feasibility aspects of content, appearance, and language. In addition, the results of the practicality test from education practitioners show that this media is easy to use, attractive, efficient, and relevant to the needs of students. Thus,  this E-Book is considered effective as an innovation in guidance and counseling services that are adaptive to technological developments and able to increase students' confidence.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a module on independent character values for students through classical guidance services. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) model using the Four-D approach (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), although only the first three stages were implemented. The research subjects were students of SMP IT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and questionnaires, and the module was validated by media experts, material experts, and linguists. The findings show that the developed module achieved a very high level of validity, with an average validity score of 95.785% across the three validators. Specifically, the media expert provided a validity score of 95.27%, while the material and language experts each assessed it at 96.30%. These results indicate that the module is feasible for use as a practical guideline in implementing classical guidance services, as it meets the required standards of content, design, and linguistic quality. Furthermore, the module is considered effective as an innovative form of guidance and counseling service that is adaptive to current educational developments and capable of enhancing students’ independent character covering emotional independence, behavioral independence, and independence in moral values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tingginya kecenderungan prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa SMA yang berdampak pada menurunnya prestasi belajar serta munculnya emosi negatif seperti stres dan kecemasan. Meskipun layanan bimbingan dan konseling (BK) berpotensi menjadi solusi, pelaksanaannya terkendala oleh keterbatasan media yang menarik dan praktis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media book planner self management sebagai sarana pengelolaan prokrastinasi akademik siswa SMA yang valid dan praktis. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, mencakup tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Produk dikembangkan berdasarkan indikator prokrastinasi akademik dan mengintegrasikan teknik self management meliputi self monitoring, self reward, self contracting, dan stimulus control. Hasil validasi ahli media memperoleh rata-rata kevalidan 99,33% (Sangat Valid), sedangkan validasi ahli materi menghasilkan rata-rata 88,63% (Sangat Valid). Uji praktikalitas yang melibatkan 10 siswa SMAN 19 Pekanbaru menunjukkan rata-rata tingkat kepraktisan 90,63% (Sangat Praktis). Dengan demikian, media book planner self management yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis, sehingga layak digunakan sebagai media pendukung layanan BK dalam membantu siswa mengurangi perilaku prokrastinasi akademik.
