Abstract

Masalah dalam tulisan ini adalah bagaimana peran pemuda dalam perjalanan hidup bangsa Indonesia. Adapun tujuan penulisan untuk mengetahui peran pemuda dalam perjalanan hidup bangsa Indonesia. Methode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian sejarah (Historical Methods). Metode sejarah merupakan proses menguji dan menganalisa secara kritis rekaman dan peninggalan masa lampau atau rekonstruksi yang imajinatif berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dengan menempuh proses yang disebut historiografi. Dalam rangka memaparkan jejak sejarah pemuda harapan bangsa Indonesia penulis melakukan empat langkah penelitian, yaitu heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Kenapa pemuda berperan? Pertama Data BPS (2021), jumlah pemuda di Indonesia mencapai 64,92 juta jiwa. Data penduduk di atas sesungguhnya pemuda adalah kekuatan potensial dalam menggerakkan perubahan sosial. Kedua, pemuda punya peran historis dalam melahirkan bangsa ini. Kalau kita tengok dalam sejarah perjuangan bangsa, pemuda-pemuda yang melahirkan Boedi Oetomo itu rata-rata di bawah 30 tahun. Ketiga, pemuda adalah kelompok sosial terdidik. Menurut data BPS tahun 2011-2021 data pemuda 39,80% penduduk berada direntang 19-24. Sebanyak 39,33% pemuda berumur 25-30 tahun.Sementara pemuda berusia 16-18 tahun sebanyak 20,87%. Keempat, pemuda itu sejatinya progressif-revolusioner.

Abstract

Social media is one of the products of human intellect whose influence has permeated nearly all levels of society, including students at SMP Negeri Hamar. While these students benefit from positive aspects such as broader social networks and access to various forms of knowledge, they are also increasingly exposed to adverse effects such as reduced academic concentration, the spread of misinformation, and unrestricted access to pornographic content, which may pose significant risks to their character and moral development. In response to these challenges, the Public Service Team of Cristo Re Polytechnic, in close collaboration with SMP Negeri Hamar, carried out a public service program focused on promoting responsible use of social media among junior high school students. The primary objective was to foster students' understanding of the nature of social media, its potential benefits, and the negative impacts that may affect their personal growth and future. This activity was held on April 18, 2025, at the Stasi Watumerak Chapel and employed the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach using audiovisual media. The program aimed to (1) raise students' awareness of the rapid development of social media in today's world; (2) encourage responsible and ethical use of social media; (3) highlight the importance of protecting personal data; (4) promote ethical communication in online interactions; and (5) help students manage their social media usage so it does not interfere with study and rest time. The interactive and engaging implementation of the CTL method encouraged active student participation and critical reflection, leading to the discovery of positive values in social media that can support their personal development. This awareness is expected to guide students toward the wise and responsible use of social media as a tool for building social relationships and developing essential digital competencies for the future.

Abstract

One of the problems experienced by Catholic Religious Education (PAK) teachers at SDI Pelibaler is the unsatisfactory learning achievement of students.   Overcoming these problems, audio-visual media is offered as an alternative learning media which, if managed properly in the learning process, will have a significant effect on improving the learning achievement of Class V SDI Pelibaler students. The research subjects in this study were fifth grade students of SDI Pelibaler, totaling 13 students. The data in this study were obtained from the observation of students' activities and the final test instrument of each cycle. This research data was analyzed descriptively qualitative. The results showed that the application of audio-visual media can improve students' learning achievement. In the pre-cycle, students who completed their learning reached 46.15% while those who did not complete 53.84%. In cycle 1, students who were complete were 84.61% and those who were not complete were 15.39%. In cycle 2, students who were complete reached 100%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of audio-visual media can improve the learning achievement of Grade V students of SDI Pelibaler, Doren District, Sikka Regency.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the quality of Catholic faith formation among students at Pelibaler Elementary School by implementing the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method, supported by audiovisual media. The program is grounded in the need for a more creative, relevant, and contextual approach to faith education for children who live in an era marked by rapid digital information flows. The CTL approach was chosen because it positions learners as active participants capable of linking religious teachings with their everyday life experiences, thereby fostering a learning process that engages not only the cognitive domain but also the affective and spiritual dimensions. The use of audiovisual media further supports students in understanding faith values in a more concrete, engaging, and comprehensible manner. The implementation included several stages: contextual delivery of faith materials, reflective experience-based activities, group discussions, and a value internalization phase that included an evening of silence and contemplation, followed by a concluding Eucharistic celebration. Evaluation results indicate that the CTL method supported by audiovisual media significantly enhances students’ understanding, engagement, and depth of spiritual reflection. Participant satisfaction data show that the majority fall into the satisfied and very satisfied categories, demonstrating the effectiveness of this method and its suitability for the cognitive and spiritual development of elementary school children. Furthermore, the program highlights that structured faith experiences that address affective dimensions play an essential role in holistic faith formation. As a follow-up, the school is recommended to develop a sustained CTL-based audiovisual module, provide further training for religious teachers and facilitators, and conduct regular faith formation activities. Thus, this PKM initiative not only yields short-term impact but also serves as a foundation for more systematic, creative, and contextual faith development efforts in the future.
