Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan asam sitrat sebagai acidifier pada pakan sistem single step down terhadap performa/pertumbuhan broiler. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 27 September sampai 12November 2012 di Kandang Digesti, Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian, Universitas Diponegoro. Ternak yang digunakan yaitu 192 ekor broiler (96 jantan dan 96 betina) umur 7 hari dengan bobot rata-rata 224,43 g ± 1,63 g. Pakan perlakuan disusun dari jagung, dedak, tepung ikan, bungkil kedelai, bungkil kelapa, minyak nabati, CaCO3, tepung kulit kerang, premix, lisin dan metionin. Asam sitrat ada 2 macam, sintetik dan alami (berasal dari air jeruk nipis). Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan (@ 8 ekor). Perlakuan yang diterapkan adalah: P0 = pakan kontrol (tanpa step down); P1 = pakan step down tanpa acidifier; P2 = pakan step down + asam sitrat sintetik 0,8%; P3 = pakan step down + asam sitrat jeruk nipis 0,4%; P4 = pakan step down + asam sitrat jeruk nipis 0,8%; P5 = pakan step down + asam sitrat jeruk nipis 1,2%. Parameter yang diamati meliputi konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan (PBB) dan konversi pakan (FCR). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis ragam, apabila terdapat pengaruh perlakuan nyata (P<0,05), dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan asam sitrat dalam pakan single step down berpengaruh (P<0,05) terhadap konsumsi dan konversi pakan (FCR), namun, tidak terhadap pertambahan bobot badan (PBB). Konsumsi dan konversi pakan P1 (2.272,52 g dan 1,98) menunjukkan nilai tertinggi dan berbeda nyata (P<0,05) dengan P0 (2.041,01 g dan 1,62) serta P5 (1.994,68 g dan 1,67), sedangkan perlakuan lainnya sama. Rataan PBB P0 hingga P5 berturut-turut adalah 1.270,00; 1.155,42; 1.198,22; 1.158,58; 1.202,41 dan 1.200,73 g/ekor. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan asam sitrat alami sebesar 0,8% dalam pakan single step down menghasilkan performa/pertumbuhan terbaik pada broiler yang ditunjang dari efisiensi penggunaan nutrien.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung jahe dalam ransum terhadap perlemakan dan trigliserida ayam kampung. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah 180 ekor ayam kampung jantan dan betina berumur 4 minggu. Ransum dibagi menjadi dua, yaitu ransun tanpa jahe dengan protein 17% EM 2.900 kkal dan ransum dengan menggunakan jahe dengan protein 17% EM 2.900 kkal. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola split plot dengan 2 petak utama, 3 sebagai anak petak dan 5 ulangan, sehingga ada 30 unit percobaan. Tiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 6 ekor ayam kampung, sehingga ayam yang dibutuhkan adalah 180 ekor. Ransum diberikan ad libitum sampai umur 4 minggu. Setelah umur 5 minggu dan diketahui jantan betina dilakukan pemberian ransum perlakuan dengan penggunaan tepung jahe 1%, 2%, 3% dan ransum kontrol tanpa penggunaan tepung jahe. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata lemak abdominal (jantan 0,51% dan betina 1,25%), lemak hati (jantan 2,21% dan betina 2,83%), trigliserida tidak berbeda nyata (P>0.05). Kesimpulan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan tepung jahe dalam ransum tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap interaksi jenis kelamin dan perlakuan level jahe, namun berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap lemak abdominal dan lemak hati yang menunjukkan jantan lebih kecil dari pada betina.Kata Kunci : tepung jahe, ayam kampung, perlemakan, trigliseridaABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of ginger powder in the diet of native chicken on performans of fatty acid and triglyceride. The material used in the study were 180 native chickens males and females aged 4 weeks. Diet was divided into two, first was diet without ginger contains 17% protein and EM 2.900 kcal diet using ginger contains 17% protein kcal EM 2.900. The experiment was conducted using the completely randomized design (CRD) split plot pattern with two main plots, 3 as subplots and 5 replicates, so that there are 30 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 6 chicken heads, so the chicken is needed is 180 birds. Diet given ad libitum until the age of 4 weeks. After the age of 5 weeks and sexing was performed, rationing treatment with the use of ginger powder 1%, 2%, 3% and diet without using ginger powder. The results showed an average abdominal fat (0.51% on male and 1.25% on female), fatty liver (2.21 % on male and 2.83 % on female), triglyceride were not significantly different (P>0.05). The Conclusion is the use of ginger powder in the ration had no significant effect (P>0.05) for the interaction of sex and treatment level of ginger, but significantly (P<0.05) on abdominal fat and liver fat which is show smaller size on males than the females.Keywords: ginger powder, chicken, fatty, triglyceride

Abstract

Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui potensi bawang putih sebagai prebiotik yang dikombinasikan dengan lactobacillus acidhopilus sebagai sinbiotik untuk ayam broiler. Rancangan penelitian dengan RAL, sebagai perlakuan TO = pakan basal; T1= pakan basal + sinbiotik 2 ml; T2= Pakan basal + sinbiotik 4 ml. Parameter yang diamati adalah Performans yang meliputi bobot badan 4 minggu, rasio H/L dan suhu lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada perlakuan B dengan 4 mlsinbiotik dapat meningkatkan pertambahan bobot badan sebesar 1202,78 gr. Suhu kandang pada penelitian sekitar 250C–33 0C dengan kelembaban sekitar 45 % - 71 %. Pada rasio H:L meningkat pada perlakuan kontrol secara nyata (P<0,05) dibandingkan perlakuan menggunakan sinbiotik. Suhu Tubuh ayam pada penelitian sekitar 40 0C – 43 0C.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mengevaluasi penerapan kombinasi pakan double step down (DSD) dan asam sitrat (AS) dalam meningkatkan efisiensi usaha peternakan broiler. Penelitian disusun dalam rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Sebanyak 168 ekor broiler strain MB 202 umur 7 hari dengan bobot badan rata-rata 186,23±0,68 g dibagi dalam 7 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan (@ 6 ekor broiler). Perlakuan sebagai berikut: T0 (pakan kontrol tanpa step down dan AS), T1 (pakan DSD tanpa AS), T2 (pakan DSD + 0,8% AS jeruk nipis), T3 (pakan DSD + 0,4% AS sintetik), T4 (pakan DSD + 0,8% AS sintetik), T5 (pakan DSD + 1,2% AS sintetik) dan T6 (pakan DSD + 1,6% AS sintetik). Parameter yang diamati meliputi bobot karkas, biaya pakan serta income over diet cost (IOFC). Data dianalisis dengan uji F dilanjutkan uji Duncan (P<0,05) dan polinomial ortogonal (PO) untuk menentukan level optimal AS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bobot karkas tidak berbeda (P>0,05) akibat perlakuan. Perlakuan kombinasi pakan DSD dan AS sintetik 0,4-1,2% (T3-T5) nyata (P<0,05) menurunkan biaya pakan dan meningkatkan IOFC dibanding kontrol (T0). Berdasarkan perhitungan PO, dapat ditentukan level optimal AS sebesar 0,96%. Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa penerapan kombinasi pakan double step down dan asam sitrat 0,8-1,2% dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif peningkatan efisiensi produksi pada broiler. Kata kunci: pakan step down, asam sitrat, efisiensi produksi, broiler

Abstract

This research’s intention was to examined the effect of liquid waste boiled salt fish in the ration on fat and cholesterol meat and abdominal fat percentage of Mojosari Peking crossing duck. The research materials used were 120 of 3 weeks old males Mojosari Peking duck crossing with average initial body weight of 520.30 ± 57.82 g. This experimental design was used completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications with total 20 units experimental each unit consisted of 6 ducks. The treatment used of liquid waste boiled salt fish in rations with level: T0 = 0%, T2 = 2.5%, T3 = 5% dan T4 = 7.5%. The results showed that the the used of liquid waste boiled salt fish have no significant effect (P>0,05) on fat meat, abdominal fat percentage and cholesterol meat. The used of of liquid waste boiled salt fish can be used in the ration up to the level 7.5%.

Abstract

This research aims to assess the effect of using agricultural waste carrot root of the digestibility of protein in the ration of broiler chickens. The material used is broiler strain Lohmann age of 7 days with a body weight of 181.40 ± 11.31 grams of 144 birds. Material feed used consisting of yellow corn, rice bran, Meat Bone Meal, Poultry Meat Meal, soybean meal, mineral mix and flour carrots. Carrot flour used in the diet for 4 weeks. The tools used for data retrieval protein digestibility is a tray container excreta, hand sprayer, scales and laboratory equipment analysis of dietary protein and excreta. The research used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 6 replications, each unit consisting of six broiler chickens. Treatment applied is T0 (without flour carrots), T1 (diet with 2% flour carrots), T2 (diet with 4% flour carrots) and T3 (diet with 6% flour carrots). The measured parameters which include feed consumption, the consumption of protein, and protein digestibility. The data were processed using analysis of variance. The results showed that the use of agricultural waste flour carrot root no significant effect (P> 0.05) on feed consumption, the consumption of protein, and the protein digestibility of broiler chickens. The use of carrot flour is still low due to beta-carotene as provitamin A activity 1/6 of vitamin A. Keywords: broiler chicken, carrot flour, consumption of protein, digestible protein.

Abstract

This study was aims to evaluate the potential of ketapang leaves extract (Terminalia catappa L.) as a feed additive on growth performance, haematological profile and immune respone in starter period of kampong-crossbreed chickens. Observations were made in vitro and in vivo. In vitro observations were carried out on the anti-bacterial activity, anti-fungal activity and antioxidant activity. In vivo observations were carried out on the growth performance, haematological profile and immunity response with the antigen test against NDV in starter period (4 weeks old). Two types of liquid extract are used, namely the liquid extract of fresh ketapang leaves and dry ketapang leaves. Ketapang leaves liquid extract is given in a mixture of drinking water with a concentration of 1, 2, 3 and 4% (ml / 100ml). The results showed that in vitro extracts of fresh and dry ketapang leaves had an effect on bacterial and fungal activity and antioxidant activity. In vivo observations showed no effect on performance, but had an effect on haematological profiles and immune respone. Dried ketapang leaf extract showed a better effect on haematology and immune respone.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kontribusi faktor klimat di musim kemarau terhadap kondisi mikroklimat closed house periode brooder dengan panjang kandang berbeda. Unit kandang digunakan yaitu kandang ukuran panjang 60 m dan 120 m. Pengamatan dilakukan pagi hari (05.00 WIB), siang hari (13.00 WIB) dan malam hari (21.00 WIB). Parameter makroklimat yang diamati meliputi suhu, kelembaban udara, kecepatan angin dan radiasi matahari serta kondisi mikroklimat meliputi suhu, kelembaban udara, kecepatan angin dan THI. Besaran kontribusi diukur berdasarkan keeratan hubungan dengan analisis korelasi. Koefisien korelasi yang menunjukkan hubungan cukup kuat dengan nilai r0,3, digunakan untuk membentuk persamaan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan besaran kontribusi komponen makroklimat pada pagi hari, siang hari maupun malam hari terhadap kondisi mikroklimat berupa suhu, kecepatan angin dan THI lebih besar di kandang panjang 60 m, sedangkan kontribusi makroklimat terhadap kelembaban udara mikroklimat lebih besar di kandang 120 m (p0,05). Rentang nilai r pada korelasi yaitu cukup kuat hingga sangat kuat. Hasil persamaan regresi yang terbentuk memiliki nilai determinasi R2 sangat kuat, sehingga layak digunakan sebagai prediktor. Prediktor kelembaban udara di kandang 60 m berupa kecepatan angin, kelembaban udara dan radiasi matahari makroklimat, sementara prediktor kelembaban udara di kandang panjang 120 m berupa suhu, kelembaban udara dan radiasi matahari. Simpulan penelitian yaitu kontribusi faktor makroklimat terhadap variasi kondisi mikroklimat berupa suhu, kecepatan angin dan THI pada periode brooder lebih besar di kandang 60 m daripada 120 m, sedangkan kontribusi komponen makroklimat terhadap kelembaban udara di kandang 120 m lebih besar dari kandang 60 m.(Contribution of climatic factor outside the lengths to the change of microclimate closed house with different lengths in brooder period in the dry season)ABSTRACT. This study conducted to calculate macroclimate contribution during brooding period house to different closed house length in dry season. Two broiler closed house 60 m and 120 m length here used in this research. Observed data were daily at 05.00 a.m, 1.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m to represented microclimate condition in the morning, afternoon and night. Macroclimate parameters observed included temperature, relative humidity, air velocity, sun radiation and microclimate parameters included temperature, relative humidity, air velocity, THI. Macroclimate contribution on the microclimate was calculates based on the strength of the relationship using correlation analysis. Subsequently, regression equation formed on parameters which has r value more than 0.3. Results showed that macroclimate contributes on variation of microclimate condition such as temperature, air velocity and THI which is larger in the 60 m length than 120 m length closed house(p0.05). Macroclimate factors contributes on microclimate humidity which is larger in the 120 m than 60 m closed house length. The range of correlation r value are strong enough to very strong. Regression equations confirmed to having strong determination R value, thus can be used as a predictor of microclimate variation. Predictor parameter of microclimate humidity in 60 m closed house consist of air velocity, relative humidity and sun radiation, whereas microclimate humidity in 120 m closed house predictors consist of temperature, relative humidity and sun radiation. In conclusion macroclimate that contributes to the microclimate variation consist of temperature, air velocity and THI, which is larger in 60 m than 120 m closed house. Meanwhile, macroclimate that contributes to the microclimate humidity is larger in 120 m than 60 m closed house.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian pakan dengan sumber protein berbeda terhadap efisiensi penggunaan protein ayam lokal persilangan. Materi penelitian adalah 126 ekor ayam lokal persilangan (unsexed) umur 2 minggu, bobot badan 129,02 6,34 g. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL), dengan 3 perlakuan, serta 7 ulangan, dan setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 6 ekor ayam. Perlakuannya antara lain T1: 2 sumber protein (bungkil kedelai, tepung ikan); T2: 3 sumber protein (bungkil kedelai, tepung ikan, MBM (Meat Bone Meal)); T3: 4 sumber protein (bungkil kedelai, tepung ikan, Meat Bone Meal (MBM), Poultry Meat Meal (PMM)). Pakan sumber energi (jagung dan bekatul), pakan sumber mineral CaCo3. Pakan diberikan secara bebas memilih, ad libitum dan dalam benruk mash. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) dengan uji F taraf 5%, dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pakan dengan sumber protein berpengaruh nyata (p0,05) meningkatkan konsumsi protein (T1: 7,65c; T2: 9,57b; T3: 11,40a) g/ekor/hari, menurunkan rasio efisiensi protein (T1: 1,65a; T2: 1,42b; T3: 1,40b), dan meningkatkan asupan protein (T1: 5,82c; T2: 7,30b; T3: 8,82a) g/ekor/hari. Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pakan dengan sumber protein (bungkil kedelai dan tepung ikan) dapat meningkatkan efisiensi protein ayam lokal persilangan.(The influence of different protein source on efficiency protein of crossbred local chicken)ABSTRACT. This research was aimed to determine the influence of different protein source on protein utilization of Crossbred Local Chicken. Using 126 Crossbred Local Chicken unsexed 2 weeks old with the average body weight 129,02 6,34 g. Completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 7 replication applied, each experimental unit consistent of 6 chickens. The treatment are T1: 2 protein source (soybean meal, fish meal); T2: 3 protein source (soybean meal, fish meal, meat bone meal); T3: 4 protein source (soybean meal, fish meal, meat bone meal. poultry meat meal). Feed energy source (corn and rice bran) and mineral source (CaCo3). Feed given with method free choice feeding, ad libitum, mash. The data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variance F-test with level 5% and Duncan test. The research showed that different protein source significantly (P0,05), increase protein consumption (T1: 7,65c; T2: 9,57b; T3: 11,40a) g/day, descreased ratio protein efficiency (T1: 1,65a; T2: 1,42b; T3: 1,40b) and increase protein intake (T1: 5,82c; T2: 7,30b; T3: 8,82a) g/day. As a cconclusion that feeding with soybean meal and fish meal as protein source able to improve protein efficiency of crossbred local chicken.

Abstract

Time interval of supplementation of Morinda citrifolia L. by product on the performance broiler chickenABSTRACT. The research using Completely Randomized Design with 3x2 factorial arrangement and 4 replicated. Dose of Morinda citrifolia by product (T) that is 0 g/kg ( T0); 0.50 g/kg ( T1); 0.75 g/kg ( T2) and 1.00 g/kg (T3) as first factor and time interval that is continue (A1) and 1 week interval (A2) as second factor. The performance parameters observed were : feed intake, body weight and small intestine measure. The result showed that no significant effect of time interval and interaction between time interval with Morinda citrifolia by product dose (p0.05) on feed intake and small intestine measure.
