Abstract

The government has made various efforts to reduce poverty in Indonesia. However, based on the World Population Review report, Indonesia is still ranked as the 73rd poorest country in the world in 2022 based on the value of gross national income. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the factors that affect poverty. This research was conducted by comparing classical, spatial lag, and spatial error regression, and the best model will be selected. The results show that the spatial error regression model is the best, based on the highest coefficient of determination and the lowest Akaike's information criterion value. Based on the best model, it is found that the expected years of schooling, the rate of gross regional domestic product, the percentage of households that have access to proper sanitation services, and the percentage of households with electric lighting sources have a significant effect on the percentage of poor people. The percentage of poor people in a province is also influenced by the percentage of poor people in the surrounding provinces. The results of this simulation can help the government take initiatives or policies aimed at reducing poverty in Indonesia based on variables that affect poverty.

Abstract

The main goal of every individual in life is to achieve happiness, a subjective concept. To measure happiness, one approach used is the life satisfaction dimension. In multivariate analysis, the biplot method emerges as a useful tool to map variables and objects of observation simultaneously in a two-dimensional graph. This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing biplots on the happiness index, with the dimension of life satisfaction as the main variable. The data used comes from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), specifically related to the Life Satisfaction Dimension of the Happiness Index in 2021. By conducting careful biplot analysis, the pattern of relationships between provinces in the context of happiness can be revealed. The results of the biplot analysis show that provinces in the same quadrant have closer similarities in happiness characteristics than provinces in different quadrants.

Abstract

Urban Heat Island (UHI) information plays a crucial role in microclimate monitoring and understanding environmental phenomena. However, the availability of observation station data is often spatially limited. This study aims to estimate Land Surface Temperature (LST) distribution in Buleleng Regency using Cokriging, utilizing the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) as a secondary variable due to its physical correlation with temperature. Addressing the significant scale disparity between LST and NDVI, this study applies Z-score transformation prior to modeling to ensure covariance matrix stability. Experimental variograms were constructed using Sturges' rule for lag distance determination and modeled using the Linear Coregionalization Model (LCM) to maintain a positive definite kriging matrix. Model evaluation using Leave-One-Out Cross-Validation (LOOCV) revealed a strong negative correlation between LST and NDVI (Pearson coefficient of -0.890). The Gaussian model was selected as the best fit, indicated by a low Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 2.7680 and a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 3.63%. These results demonstrate that integrating NDVI through Cokriging significantly improves spatial estimation accuracy. Furthermore, this study supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 13 (Climate Action) and Goal 15 (Life on Land), by providing high-precision environmental data essential for effective climate resilience planning.

Abstract

Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) a policy through the Teaching Assistance (AM) program opens opportunities for students to act as agents of change, one of which is by assisting schools in adapting technology. Specifically in the subject of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This study aims to analyze the impact of introducing basic "Coding Skill" on improving students' understanding and interest in computational thinking skills, as well as their motivation to continue to higher education. This AM activity was carried out at SDN Tanjungsari 2 with 26 sixth-grade students for a total of 27 face-to-face meetings, or approximately two months. Students applied an interactive learning system through hands-on practice using programming software such as OSR-R and ScratchJr. The learning method was adjusted to address the characteristics of sixth-grade students, who tend to lack focus and get bored easily. Techniques such as visual demonstrations, interactive discussions, and rewards were used. The results of the study using a paired t-test showed that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results. This means that learning coding can increase students' interest and motivation to continue on to higher education. Students' understanding of the new ICT material they have learned has also improved significantly. All students also unanimously agreed that learning programming is exciting, so they are interested in exploring it further because they understand the benefits of higher education itself. This interactive method successfully overcomes the problem of students' lack offocus and increases their enthusiasm for learning. In addition, this program also contributes to accelerating Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which is the achievement of quality education.
