Abstract

The low creativity of students is due to the need for more guidance provided by teachers and counselors, so to overcome these problems, guidance service tools are needed to maximize the development of children's creativity. This study aims to produce a classical guidance service toolkit to increase the creativity of junior high school students. This research belongs to the development research developed using the 4-D development model. The 4-D development model comprises the define, design, development, and dissemination stages. The subjects involved in this study were three lecturers as experts and two guidance and counseling teachers as practitioners. Collecting data in the study was carried out using observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The instrument used is in the form of a student creativity questionnaire. The data obtained in the study were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques through the normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. The results of data analysis in the study showed that the t-test score was 2.710, and sig. (2-tailed) was 0.009 <0.05, meaning H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted. Based on these results, the classical guidance service tool effectively increases the creativity of junior high school students.

Abstract

The selection of vocational subjects for students with hearing disabilities should ideally be aligned with their individual interests, potentials, and personality types, as proposed in John Holland’s career theory. However, in practice, many students end up choosing subjects that do not match their personal characteristics due to limited access to structured and informative career guidance services. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a career counseling model based on Holland’s theory, integrated with digital media, in improving the alignment of vocational subject choices among students with hearing disabilities. This Research and Development (R&D) study employed the ADDIE development model and involved five students with hearing disabilities as trial participants. The research instruments included content validation questionnaires, practicality assessments, and evaluations of the appropriateness of vocational subject choices, all of which underwent validity and reliability testing. Data analysis was conducted using the Lawshe validity index (CVR and CVI), descriptive quantitative analysis, N-Gain test, and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The results showed that the counseling model had high content validity (CVI = 1), was highly practical (average practicality score of 97.91%), and was significantly effective in improving the appropriateness of vocational subject choices, as evidenced by a high N-Gain score and statistically significant Wilcoxon test results. These findings suggest that integrating digital media with Holland-based counseling is an innovative, effective, and inclusive strategy to support accurate career decision-making among students with hearing disabilities.

Abstract

Education at the junior high school level not only aims to develop students' academic competencies but also to foster character development, including moral integrity, independence, and the ability to build healthy social relationships, as mandated by the Pancasila Student Profile through the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. However, empirical realities in the field reveal that bullying behaviour both verbal and digital remains widespread, reflecting poor self-regulation and suboptimal internalization of character values among students. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a behavioral counseling guide using the live modeling technique to reduce bullying behavior. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Four-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The participants consisted of 16 seventh-grade students, with expert validators from the fields of guidance and counseling, education, and psychology. Research instruments included a guidebook acceptability questionnaire, a guidebook practicality questionnaire, and a bullying behavior scale all of which were validated for content and reliability. The validation results indicated that the counseling guide was categorized as highly feasible, with an average practicality score of 87%. A limited trial showed significant effectiveness in reducing bullying behavior, with an N-Gain score of 92% in the experimental group and 39% in the control group. The Mann-Whitney test yielded an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.012, indicating a significant difference between groups. These findings suggest that the behavioral counseling guide utilizing live modeling is both effective and applicable in addressing bullying within the school environment.
