Abstract

This study analyzes the Indonesian Banking Statistics June 2025 to strengthen economic literacy and managerial decision-making competence. Employing a quantitative descriptive–verificative method with secondary data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) analyzed using SPSS 26, the study examines six indicators—assets, third-party funds (TPF), interest rates, capital adequacy ratio (CAR), problem loans, and productive assets. The findings reveal that assets, TPF, interest rates, CAR, and productive assets significantly and positively influence managerial performance, while problem loans exert a negative effect. The model explains 73.8% of managerial variation, underscoring the strategic importance of data-driven decisions in enhancing financial stability, efficiency, and governance within Indonesia’s banking sector.

Abstract

The development of creative economy in Christian Religious Education Theology (PAK) is a strategic approach for Theological Colleges (STT) to achieve local economic prosperity in the midst of a digital revolution towards the achievement of SDGs. Creative economy is a global strategy, including in Indonesia, to create economic added value. The integration of the creative economy in PAK Theology encourages students to improve their creative economic skills in areas such as spiritual design, digital content production, learning media, service entrepreneurship, and social innovation based on faith. This integration enriches the PAK theological learning process but also increases student participation in church and community service, an integral part of the cultural mandate.Research findings indicate that the development of the creative economy has a significant impact on the achievement of various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Economic Growth and Decent Work), SDG 9 (Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Communities). Therefore, the integration of creative economy development in PAK Theology not only increases the academic relevance of STT, but also serves as a tangible contribution to sustainable development in the era of Industry 5.0. It is hoped that STT graduates will become independent, innovative, adaptive, and visionary graduates who can think far ahead and play a role as agents of reform in the digital, social, and community welfare fields.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between household literacy, access to basic infrastructure, and the quality of primary education in Eastern Indonesia within the framework of Christian Religious Education values. Using a quantitative explanatory design, the research analyzes national socio-economic data with provinces as the unit of analysis. The model was tested using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate the predictive power of household access to safe water, access to electricity, and literacy level on primary education outcomes, measured by the average national exam score. The results show that access to safe water (β = 0.294, p < 0.05) and electricity (β = 0.290, p < 0.05) have significant positive effects on education quality, while literacy level (β = 0.081, p > 0.05) is not statistically significant. The model explains 34.7% of the variance in education quality (R² = 0.347). These findings indicate that improving basic infrastructure remains essential to enhancing educational outcomes in Eastern Indonesia. Integrating Christian educational values such as justice, love, and service can further strengthen community motivation and collective responsibility toward equitable education development.

Abstract

Christian education in a multicultural environment is crucial to develop amidst Indonesia's complex diversity. While existing studies have explored its implementation, teacher roles, and curriculum integration, a comprehensive framework for its strategic development as a proactive reform movement remains underexplored. This study aims to analyze the historical and contemporary development of Christian education in multicultural settings, identify current challenges and opportunities, and formulate strategic principles for its effective and transformative advancement. Using a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach, this research draws on James A. Banks' multicultural education theory and examines relevant historical, theological, and contextual sources. The findings highlight that Christian education must evolve beyond adaptation to actively shape inclusive, values-oriented, and hopeful learning environments. Strategic principles proposed include orienting education toward love and appreciation of diversity, fostering non-violent character formation, and promoting faithful engagement with pluralism. This study contributes practical guidance for educators and policymakers, enriches academic discourse on multicultural religious education, and supports the development of Christian education as a force for social harmony and unity in diversity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of credit risk on the financial performance of the financing industry in Indonesia using a comparative study approach across the periods before the Covid-19 pandemic (2017–2019), during the pandemic (2020–2021), and after the pandemic (2022–2024). The data used are aggregated secondary industry data sourced from financing institution statistical reports published by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Credit risk is proxied by the Non-Performing Financing (NPF) ratio, while financial performance is measured using Return on Assets (ROA). The analytical method employed is linear regression with dummy variables and interaction terms to capture differences in impact across crisis periods. The results show that credit risk has a negative and significant effect on the financial performance of the financing industry. In addition, the Covid-19 pandemic is proven to have strengthened the negative impact of credit risk on industry profitability, while the post-pandemic period indicates signs of performance recovery. These findings underscore the importance of adaptive credit risk management and the role of regulatory policies in maintaining the stability of the financing industry during periods of crisis and economic recovery.

Abstract

Risk management is essential in educational governance to ensure the sustainability and quality of learning services. This study analyzes operational risks in the appointment process of school principals at Foundation X in North Maluku using the ISO 31000:2018 framework. The research applies a descriptive qualitative method through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the principal appointment process has not yet been supported by standardized and documented procedures, opening space for subjective intervention, the dominance of informal power structures, and limited transparency in decision-making. The risk assessment identifies three high-priority risks: intervention from the Board of Trustees in principal selection, non-meritocratic appointments that disregard competency standards, and internal organizational conflicts stemming from weak leadership legitimacy. The application of ISO 31000:2018 enables systematic mapping of risk likelihood and impact, as well as the formulation of governance-oriented mitigation strategies such as the development of formal selection SOPs, the formation of an independent selection committee, and the reinforcement of performance evaluation mechanisms. This study contributes to improving risk management practices in foundation-based educational institutions by offering recommendations that promote transparency, accountability, and leadership quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse credit risk in Consumer Cooperative X, specifically within the Savings and Loan Unit (USP) for the “Gajian di Muka” product, by applying Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) based on ISO 31000:2018 through a Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) approach. The background of this study is driven by the increasing ratio of non-performing loans (NPL) exceeding the cooperative’s tolerance threshold, as well as weaknesses in credit verification and monitoring processes that affect the accuracy of credit decision-making. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method through in-depth interviews and document analysis to assess the severity, occurrence, and detection capability of credit risks. The root causes were identified using a fishbone diagram combined with the 5 Why approach, and subsequently analysed using FMEA to obtain the Risk Priority Number (RPN). The findings indicate that several credit risks with high RPN values require priority mitigation, particularly those related to weaknesses in data verification, limited supervision, and the lack of an optimal early warning system. Following the implementation of ERM–FMEA-based mitigation strategies, credit risk can be controlled through improved operational procedures, strengthened verification systems, and the development of an early warning system. These findings demonstrate that the integration of ERM and FMEA is effective in enhancing early risk detection, reducing potential credit risk, and improving the accuracy of decision-making as well as the operational sustainability of the cooperative.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between theology and Christian Religious Education (CRE) by highlighting the role of CRE in gender education and its implementation at HKBP Pabrik Tenun Medan. CRE not only serves as an instrument for teaching the Christian faith but also as a medium for social transformation, particularly in shaping a more just gender awareness within the church and society. In the context of Christian theology, understandings of gender are often influenced by biblical interpretation, church doctrine, and local culture. Therefore, this study explores how CRE in this church responds to gender issues, particularly in promoting equal roles between men and women in ministry and the congregation’s participation in church leadership. The church has a responsibility to teach the values of equality, justice, and respect for gender differences in accordance with biblical principles. However, in practice, challenges remain, particularly in the form of patriarchal interpretations that may limit women's roles in ecclesiastical ministry. This study also highlights how the church can develop a more inclusive CRE theology by incorporating gender perspectives based on liberation theology and justice. This research employs a qualitative and descriptive method, utilizing in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis to obtain comprehensive data. The findings indicate that, despite efforts by CRE to teach gender equality, challenges persist in its implementation due to cultural and traditional factors, particularly the strong influence of the highly patriarchal Batak Toba culture. Therefore, this study is expected to serve as a reference for churches in designing CRE programs that are more responsive to gender issues, encouraging active female participation in church life and ministry.
