Abstract

Every lecturer should have a good performance to improve student achievement. One of the factors to improve the lecturers’ performance is achievement motivation. This research was conducted to figure out a positive and significant relationship between achievement motivation with lecturer’s performance. The study was conducted through quantitative approach. The data was collected through questionnaires which were given to 77 respondents of 343 lecturers at IAIN Ar-raniry Banda Aceh. The analysis of the data is Pearson product moment correlation analysis. The results showed that the correlation coefficient (r) is 0.574. The correlation number indicates that both characteristic and the strength of the relationship is “medium”. It indicates that the the closeness of the relationship between achievement motivation and lecturer’s performance of IAIN Ar-Raniry is at “medium” level. The number of tcount is 6.077 while the number of ttable = 1,992 at the confidence level 95% sig. 5% 2-tailed and dk = n – 1 = 76. Thus, tcount is 6.077 > ttable is 1.992 show that there is a significant relationship between achievement motivation and performance of IAIN Ar-Raniry lecturer. It means that if the achievement motivation is increased, the motivation performance of IAIN Ar-Raniry lecturer will be increased.

Abstract

Arabic has two grammars, nahwu, and sharaf. Nahwu specializes in the rule of changing word endings, while Sharaf focuses on word changes. The use of nahwu helps with determining each function of every word in a sentence, the adjustment of word endings, and their positions. Therefore, nahwu is fundamental in learning Arabic. When learning activities took place in the female class VII- A at Junior High School Al-Muhajirin, the initial process was conducive. The teacher taught students by applying the istiqraiyah method. However, the situation in the classroom changed after 30 minutes, especially for students sitting in the back. Some of them ate snacks, talked to each other, and fluttered using books although the room’s temperature was normal. The circumstance happened because the learning activity was teacher-centered, the teacher was more active than the students. This study aimed to apply the Istiqraiyah method based on the scientific approach in learning nahwu, to find out students' responses on the application of the method and to know the influences of the istiqraiyah method based on the scientific approach in grammar learning in each cycle. The researcher applied the classroom action research (PTK). The population of this study was 172 students. The study sample was female students in class IX-a. There were 36 students. The researcher carried out observations, and tests, and provided questionnaires. The findings of this study were: 1) The implementation of the istiqraiyah method based on the scientific approach was very effective. The teacher observation result in the second circle (94,21%) was higher than the first circle (89,47%). The student observation result in the second circle (93,75%) was higher than the first circle (88, 75%). 2) The students’ responses to the istiqraiyah method based on the scientific approach in learning the nahwu grammatical structure at Dayah Al-Muhajirin were very good. The result of the students' responses in the second circle (86, 11%) was higher than the first one (79,73%). 3) The influences of the istiqraiyah method based on the scientific approach in the nahwu grammar learning at Dayah Al-Muhajirin were effective in improving students' nahwu grammatical skills. The result of the student test in the first cycle (70, 31%) was higher than the test in the pre-cycle (46, 25%). The result of the student test in the second cycle (84,37%) was higher than the student test in the first cycle (70,31%).

Abstract

Learning listening skills still leaves many problems. Among them are problems related to students' limbs, thinking, the application of learning methods, media, teacher and so on. Learning process of listening at Ruhul Islam Anak Bangsa Islamic Boarding School tends to be passive where the teacher provides istima' material to students through a laptop and loudspeaker and the teacher gives students questions directly without explaining the previous material and providing opportunities for students to discuss and ask things that are not understood. In addition, the listening learning process tends to be boring and uninteresting. Therefore, researchers developed listening skills learning with the integrative listening method to improve students' listening skills. The purpose of this study was to find out how to develop and effectiveness of the developing listening skills learning using the integrative listening method and to find out students' responses to the development of listening skills learning with the integrative listening method. The method used in this research is a research and development method. The results show that learning listening skills using the integrative listening method developed using the Borg and Gall model. Teaching listening skills with the integrative listening method is effective to increasing students' listening skills. Student responses to learning listening skills using the integrative listening method is very good with the positive answer of 92.67%.

Abstract

Strategic management by teachers plays a role in improving the quality of Arabic language learning. It explores various strategies that can be implemented to optimize the learning process, including curriculum planning, teaching methods, and assessment. Case studies or concrete examples that show the positive impact of strategic management on student learning outcomes in Arabic have also been widely discussed in research results in several articles or journals. The type of research used in this discussion is using literature study which includes: systematic identification, analysis of documents containing information related to the study problem. The research results show that 1). The application of effective strategic management, such as careful planning and the use of innovative teaching methods, can improve the quality of teaching. Teachers who implement well-planned strategies tend to be better able to convey material in a clear and interesting way, which has a positive impact on student understanding. 2). Strategic management involving interactive and participatory learning methods can increase student engagement. Research shows that students who actively participate in learning tend to have greater motivation and interest in Arabic. 3). Strategic management encourages positive changes in teaching practices, such as the adoption of new technologies, more effective teaching methods, and more student-centered approaches, thereby improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Many factors influence the success of learning Arabic for non-native speakers. One of the textbooks is the Al-Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik book. Darul Lughah Al-Arabiyyah Banda Aceh uses this book in learning four language skills and their elements with a communicative approach. This research focuses on learning Arabic using the “Al-Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik” in Darul Lughah Al-Arabiyyah Banda Aceh. This research is descriptive, where the data is collected through interview and documentation. The resource persons in this study were the Director and one of the teachers at Darul Lughah Al-Arabiyyah Banda Aceh. The result shows that: The process Arabic teaching learning uses direct methods, where the teacher and students communication in Arabic, again the teacher encourages students to be involved in the Arabic learning process. In addition, The teacher is in use himself to speak Arabic with the student outside the classroom. The teacher explains the Arabic language skills learning material and its elements well and uses many exercises to master the materials being studied.

Abstract

Teaching Arabic vocabulary morphology at MTs Teungku Chik Pante Kulu, Aceh Besar District is an integral part of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum, especially in the context of learning the Qur'an and Hadith as one of the science groups in PAI. However, PAI teachers who teach the Qur'an and Hadith subjects often face various problems that affect the effectiveness of teaching and student understanding. This analysis aims to identify and understand these problems and their impact on the quality of learning. This type of research uses a qualitative method with a field research approach. Data collection techniques by conducting observations and interviews. The results of the study indicate that: 1). The problems of Arabic morphology for understanding the mufradat in the lessons of the Qur'an and Hadith at MTs Teungku Chik Pante Kulu, Aceh Besar District are as follows, namely: Limited Morphological Knowledge of Teachers, Ineffective Teaching Methods, Limited Resources and Teaching Materials, Difficult Curriculum Adjustments and Low Student Interest and Motivation. 2). The impact of the problems of Arabic morphology to understand the vocabulary in the Al-Quran and Hadith lessons are as follows, namely: Quality of Arabic language learning, student learning outcomes, student motivation and interest, effectiveness of learning and long-term impact on religious studies.

Abstract

Al-Quran telah menetapkan hak-hak bagi suami dan istri. Hak suami dan istri menurut al-Quran adalah hak memperoleh kebahagiaan di dunia dan akhirat, merasa senang kepada pasangannya, hak saling mencintai dan dicintai antara suami dan istri, hak memperoleh keturunan dan hak isteri untuk memiliki pemberian suami meskipun telah bercerai. Al-Quran telah mengatur kewajiban bagi suami dan istri. Menurut al-Quran, suami wajib memberi nafkah kepada istrinya. Suami dan istri wajib mentaati Allah swt. Istri wajib memelihara diri ketika suaminya tidak ada. Pasangan suami istri wajib memiliki sifat sabar atas cobaan yang diberikan Allah swt kepadanya.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the inductive method in improving the learning outcomes of Nahwu-Sharaf in MIN 3 Banda Aceh City. The use of inductive methods in Nahwu-Sharaf learning begins with the presentation of concrete examples that are analyzed by students to find common methods related to Nahwu-Sharaf material. This article is a qualitative research with a case study design. Data collection techniques include classroom observations, interviews, and documenting students' academic work. The results show that with the application of the inductive method, students are able to achieve an understanding at the conceptual level of the structure of the Arabic language both in terms of Sharaf and Nahwu. Students become more active, motivated, and demonstrate more advanced analytical thinking skills in drawing conclusions from given examples. These findings suggest that inductive methods offer significant potential for developing meaningful, student-centered learning.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of diagnostic strategies in Arabic language learning. Diagnostic strategies are an essential learning approach in Arabic language teaching. This approach allows teachers to design teaching that is adaptive and based on student needs. Proper diagnosis will result in more meaningful learning and optimal learning outcomes. The advantages of this approach are that if the learning material is mastered by students or cannot be seen so that it is easier to identify it and the method used to overcome students who do not understand the concept well, while the disadvantage lies in the long preparation, requiring specific teacher skills, limited availability of tools and instruments and suboptimal further implementation. Diagnostic strategies can increase learning motivation because students feel helped according to their needs, encourage active and reflective learning, reduce the rate of errors in language use, both oral and written, and accelerate the achievement of basic language learning competencies.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the application of deductive methods in Nahwu and Sharaf learning in Arabic language education. This method emphasizes giving general rules or theories first, followed by examples and application exercises, thus helping students understand complex grammatical concepts systematically and logically. This study uses a literature review approach by examining various relevant reference sources. The results of the study show that the deductive method is effective in facilitating the understanding of the material, especially for complex material, but has a weakness in the form of a class atmosphere that tends to be passive. The conclusion of this article emphasizes that the use of deductive methods must be combined with other media and methods so that learning becomes more interactive and interesting, so that the goals of learning Arabic can be achieved optimally.
