Abstract

Harapan Medan University is one of the universities located in the city of Medan, students who study not only come from within the city but there are also those from outside the region. Students who come from outside the region must have a temporary residence or boarding house, but due to limited information, students have difficulty finding boarding houses. Based on the existing problems, a boarding house selection system is built that can select and recommend the best boarding house. With this system, it is easier for students who come from outside the region to choose boarding houses according to the desired criteria. The decision support system built using the TOPSIS method where the TOPSIS method will produce a preference value for each boarding alternative data based on the weight value of the boarding criteria such as: price, distance, facilities, security, and chasitity. TOPSIS uses the principle that the chosen alternative must have the closest distance from the positive ideal solution and the farthest from the negative ideal solution by using the Euclidean distance to determine the relative closeness of an alternative to the optimal solution. The implementation of the system is carried out using the PHP programming language and MySQL as the database. The decision support system that is built produces recommendations by providing a ranking of boarding houses according to their preference values. Of the 10 boarding houses tested, the best alternative data is Kost Belpon Residence with a preference value of 0.8017 and followed by Kost Ungu with a preference value of 0.6653.

Abstract

The UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) design is a design carried out to improve the branding of an online store to get a lot of attention from the public so that it can get a bigger share. UI/UX is one of the technological developments that can take advantage of digital means to introduce a product to be offered to customers. This research is intended to help improve the branding of a store, and to find out the performance of the website after using the UI/UX. It is hoped that the UI/UX design on the Lab.Scarpe website can improve the branding of the website and make it easier for users/customers to transact on the website.

Abstract

Saat ini banyak masyarakat Indonesia khusus nya daerah perkotaan yang ingin sekali Bertani namun tidak memiliki lahan yang cukup luas. Hal ini dikarenakan minim nya pengetahuan masyarakat dalam metode Bertani. Ada berbagai macam metode Bertani, diantaranya adalah dengan metode sistem akuaponik. Sarana multimedia berbasis animasi dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu media penyampaian informasi, Penelitian ini memanfaat kan animasi 3D sebagai inovasi dalam mengajarkan cara pembuatan Akuaponik. Animasi 3D ini di rancang menggunakan software blender. Proses perancangan dimulai dari  menentukan ide cerita, pembuatan storyboard, pemodelan objek, pemberian tekstur, menggerakkan animasi, rendering, sampai dengan proses penyuntingan. Hasil akhir dari animasi ini berupa video yang dilengkapi dengan musik latar, audio, dan teks penjelasan. Animasi 3D pembuatan sistem Akuaponik sebagai edukasi Bertani diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi dalam mengatasi keterbatasan lahan pertanian.Kata Kunci: Animasi 3D, Akuaponik, Blender.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran adalah alat bantu yang digunakan dalam hal kegiatan belajar mengajar untuk menyampaikan isi pembelajaran agar terjadi pengetahuan, penguasaan kemahiran dan pembentukan sikap dan kepercayaan pada masyaraka Untuk itu diperlukan suatu media dalam mengedukasi mahasiswa  untuk mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran tatap muka dengan cara membuat suatu aplikasi yang dimana terdapat beberapa panduan agar mahasiswa bisa memahami aturan di masa covid 19 dengan baik. Salah satu cara untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan diatas menggunakan metode Computer Based Instruction yaitu dapat menyajikan panduan informasi seperti peraturan yang kampus yang mereka sedang belajar. Computer Based Instruction adalah pembelajaran terprogram yang menggunakan komputer sebagai alat atau sarana utama untuk mengkomunikasikan materi kepada seseorang. Dan didapatkan hasil Memudahkan mahasiswa dalam melihat informasi mengenai peraturan pembelajaran tatap muka di dalam kampus.

Abstract

Message security is very important in maintaining the confidentiality of information, especially those containing important information whose contents should only be known by the entitled party. Therefore, security is needed for messages that are confidential so that messages cannot be intercepted by people who do not want them and the information content of the message becomes more secure. One way is to apply ElGamal and LSB cryptography methods to be able to provide security to text messages by inserting into digital images, the ElGamal algorithm focuses on the strength of the key in solving discrete logarithm problems. By utilizing large prime numbers and discrete logarithm problems which are quite difficult and also by applying the LSB method for text insertion, the security of the key is more guaranteed. The test results on five image objects with the .BMP extension on the application that was built were running well and correctly. The image that is inserted in the encryption process is the insertion of text in the image after it is decrypted and the image produced after the encryption and decryption process is no different from the original image and the same thing for the image size does not change

Abstract

The document files are electronic data that are often used to store information that is personal or confidential, therefore it is necessary to take action to keep the information accessible only to the owner of the data. In addition to the security aspect, the thing that needs to be considered is also about storage memory. Therefore, additional steps are needed to streamline the storage media and speed up the transmission process by compressing it first so that its size becomes smaller. In this study, will combine cryptography and compression techniques using the RSA algorithm for the purpose of securing data, then compressed using the Even Rodeh Code algorithm to reduce the size of the data. This research produces an application that can be used as an alternative solution in maintaining the confidentiality of document file data so that it can only be accessed by the data owner and can save the need for data storage space to be more efficient. The test results show that different test file sizes produce different Compression Ratio (CR), Space Savings (SS) and RT (Running Time) calculation values as well. The larger the size to be compressed, the larger the size that can be reduced or the greater the storage space that can be saved. While the RT results have increased in value constantly along with changes in the size of the test file used. This means that the larger the size of the test file to be compressed, the longer it will take to compress it
