Abstract

This research aims to improve students' problem solving abilities in class XI-9 functional material at SMA Negeri 5 Medan for the 2024/2025 academic year, with a total of 36 students through Classroom Action Research (PTK). The method used is PTK with 2 cycles, where each cycle consists of 2 meetings. Each cycle is carried out with a focus on the learning model and TaRL and CRT approaches. The research results showed that there was a significant increase in learning outcomes in the second cycle compared to the first cycle. The first cycle succeeded in increasing learning preparation, interest and attitudes towards lessons, as well as student learning activities through the application of the PBL learning model and the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. In the second cycle, improvement efforts were made by integrating the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) and Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approaches, which resulted in consistent improvements in all aspects of observation.

Abstract

Teachers need to design learning in a structured manner so that the goals are achieved effectively. The need for creativity in teaching methods aimed at improving the quality of the learning process. The learning model that provides students with the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills is the Problem Based Learning learning model. Problem Based Learning. One approach that can be chosen to improve students' critical thinking skills on a collaborative basis and through integration of local culture and daily life problems is the Teaching at The Righl Level (TaRl) approach. In line with this, this learning can be connected to academic content in real world situations by combining Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approaches. Furthermore, in the Industrial Revolution 5.0 era, education does not only focus on mastering students' cognitive knowledge but also emphasizes other abilities. One technology that can be integrated into learning, allows collaboration with fellow members, has a responsive website appearance and has strong security is Google Sites (G Sites). This research was carried out using two stages, Cycle I and Cycle II. Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes and student engagement of tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 13 Medan through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by digital media. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, evaluation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 36 tenth-grade students, with variables focusing on student engagement and learning outcomes. Engagement data were collected using observation sheets filled out by the cooperating teacher, while learning outcomes were measured through evaluation tests. The results showed a significant increase in both student engagement and learning outcomes. The mastery percentage increased from 47.22% in the pre-cycle to 91.67% in the second cycle, and average student engagement rose from 83.77% in cycle I to 93.06% in cycle II. These findings indicate that the implementation of PBL assisted by digital media is effective in enhancing the quality of Indonesian language learning for tenth-grade students. This study recommends the use of this learning model as an alternative strategy that fosters an active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning environment.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the learning outcomes of Indonesian language among Grade X-9 students at SMA Negeri 13 Medan through the implementation of the cooperative learning model Team Games Tournament (TGT). The problem addressed was the low academic performance and lack of active participation among students during the learning process. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The instruments used included observation sheets for teacher and student activities, as well as learning outcome tests. The results showed that the implementation of the TGT model significantly improved students' learning outcomes. The percentage of mastery learning increased from 35.29% in the first cycle to 88.23% in the second cycle. Students' learning activities also improved from a moderately active to a highly active category. Therefore, the TGT cooperative learning model proved to be effective in enhancing both students' academic achievement and engagement in Indonesian language learning. This study recommends the use of the TGT model as an engaging and participatory instructional strategy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kolaborasi siswa pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, khususnya materi teks biografi melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas X sebanyak 35 siswa di SMA Negeri 13 Medan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus yang masing-masing siklus terdiri atas 4 tahapan, antara lain ialah perencanaan, pelaksanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 80 pada siklus I menjadi 88 pada siklus II, dan persentase ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 62,85% menjadi 91,42%. Model Make a Match terbukti mampu meningkatkan keaktifan, pemahaman, serta hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran ini efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia pada materi struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks biografi.

Abstract

The integration of digital learning media in language instruction has become increasingly important to enhance students’ engagement and learning outcomes. This study aims to develop, examine the feasibility, and evaluate the effectiveness of Socrative-assisted student worksheets for short story text learning among eleventh-grade students at State Senior High School Sixteen Medan. Employing a Research and Development approach, the study adopts the Borg and Gall development model. The research population consisted of 384 students, with a sample of 35 eleventh-grade students selected for limited field testing. Data were collected through expert validation, teacher assessments, student responses, and learning outcome evaluation tests. The feasibility analysis indicates that the developed worksheets are categorized as highly feasible, as evidenced by assessments from media experts (91% and 88%), material experts (86% and 94%), an Indonesian language teacher (96%), and student trials (92%). Furthermore, the effectiveness test demonstrates that the Socrative-assisted worksheets significantly improve students’ learning outcomes, achieving an effectiveness score of 93%, which falls within the highly effective category. It can be concluded that Socrative-assisted student worksheets for short story texts are pedagogically sound, practically applicable, and effective in enhancing students’ learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

This study addresses the limited use of interactive digital evaluation tools in assessing students’ mastery of observation report texts by developing a Gimkit-assisted learning evaluation tool for tenth-grade students at State Senior High School One Raya Kahean, Simalungun Regency. The study seeks to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the developed tool in supporting Indonesian language learning assessment. Employing a Research and Development approach, the study adopted the ADDIE model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research involved a population of 124 students, with a sample of 30 students, and included validation by a material expert, a design expert, an Indonesian language teacher, and student users. The findings demonstrate that the evaluation tool achieved a high level of feasibility, with material expert validation reaching 88.33 percent and design expert validation reaching 89.66 percent. In addition, the effectiveness assessment conducted by the Indonesian language teacher yielded a score of 92 percent, indicating a highly effective category. The study argues that integrating gamified digital applications such as Gimkit into evaluation practices enhances assessment quality, student engagement, and instructional relevance, making the tool a viable and effective alternative for school-based learning evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe Indonesian language education based on learning outcomes in the Teaching Material Development course at the Islamic University of North Sumatra. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, learning observations, and documentation studies, then analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The results of the study show that the formulation of learning outcomes has referred to the learning outcomes of graduates, but some of the formulations are still general and have not been fully measured. The implementation of learning has implemented an active learning strategy, but the relationship between learning activities and learning outcomes has not been fully understood by students. The development of Indonesian teaching materials shows a systematic structure, but learning evaluation is still predominantly oriented towards the knowledge aspect. This study concludes that it is necessary to strengthen the alignment between learning outcomes, learning strategies, and evaluation systems to improve the quality of Indonesian learning in higher education.

Abstract

Novelet atau novel singkat “Jangan Kau Campakkan Cintaku” merupakan karya dari Della Amanda. Karya yang menceritakan bagaimana rumitnya dan menderitanya kehidupan para tokoh yang saling terikat satu sama lain dengan masa lalu yang kelam dan penuh penderitaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya kesalahan dalam  penggunaan kata dan tanda baca pada novelet “Jangan Kau Campakkan Cintaku”. Suatu karya tulis, termasuk novel dan novelet, berpegang teguh pada kaidah Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia (PUEBI). Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu mendeskripsikan kesalahan penulisan kata serta tanda baca yang terdapat pada novelet “Jangan Kau Campakkan Cintaku” karya Della Amanda.

Abstract

The limited availability of engaging and technology-integrated teaching materials in short story learning has created challenges in fostering students’ active participation and literary comprehension. This study aimed to develop and evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of interactive teaching materials assisted by AnyFlip and based on a short story anthology for teaching short story texts to eleventh-grade students at SMAN 2 Lubuk Pakam. Employing a Research and Development approach, the study adopted the Four-D Model consisting of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The research involved a population of 389 students, with 35 students from Class XI-J selected as the sample. The feasibility of the product was assessed through expert validation and user trials involving teachers and students. The results demonstrated that the developed teaching materials achieved a very high level of validity, with material expert evaluations reaching 92.6% and 93.3%, while design expert evaluations reached 89.3% and 80.0%. Teacher assessment yielded a score of 96.0%, and student responses reached 91.0%, both categorized as highly feasible. These findings indicate that the AnyFlip-assisted interactive teaching materials are valid, practical, and highly suitable for supporting the learning of short story texts at the senior high school level.
