Abstract

Padar Island as one of the main tourist attraction is part of Komodo National Park in Labuan Bajo. Its tourism potential become more in demand compared to Komodo and Rinca Island. The practice of tourism in this Komodo National Park area does not readily claim the management of tourism especially. The focuses of the Office Komodo National Park are conservation and preservation. This study uses primary and secondary data sources with qualitative and quantitative data types. Methods of collecting data through observation, interviews, and documents with the determination of informants using purposive procedure techniques, and use data analysis qualitatively. The result of this study answer three main problems raised, namely the first on the tourism profile of Padar Island relate to the basis of attraction, accessibility, amenities and ancillary. The second is relate to tourism management including demand and supply, the influence of tourism on natural conditions, forms of interaction of tourist with local communities and benefits gained by the community with tourism activities on Padar Island and the third is relate to resource management strategies on Padar Island by parties Komodo National Park. Abstract

Abstract Badung is one of regency in Bali have much of tourism potential, tourist attraction and tourism resources. Currently Badung Regency have been developing Kuta Beach tourism. This research will discuss about Expectation Against Foreign Tourists In Area Parking Leisure Travel Attractions of Kuta Beach. This prompted a large number of tourists both domestic and foreign, thus the need for the development of the means of better facilities associated with supporting facilities and infrastructure for the comfort of tourists visiting Kuta beach. One of them in the provision of tourist services in the form of comfort in the parking area of ??Kuta beach tourist attraction for foreign tourists. Determination engineering samples used in this study is the method of purposive sampling Accidental sampling is coincidentally the foreign tourists who visit the area to Kuta beach tourist attraction. While the technique of determining purposive informant here is done by the special purpose. Purposeful (purposive) is used as a strategy when one wants to learn something and come to understand something about the cases of certain options need not generalize to all such cases (Patton, 1980:100). The collected data was then analyzed using qualitative descriptive. As early as the 1960s until today, Kuta is known as the busiest tourist spots in Bali. Understanding the expectations of his own wish fulfillment (hope) the traveler is a long process, to take a long time and are not cheap to achieve something as expected. This expectation for improvement exert towards something better and can be felt. Foreign tourists will want a change in their perceived shortcomings. This is due to the parking area of ??land that is not in accordance with the number of tourists who visit each day. Moreover, the land often take the road shoulder parking lot that resulted in severe congestion, especially for users of the road to access the beach of Kuta. Leisure tourists became distracted.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the workplace health and safety of the employee and visitor of Paragliding Tourism at Gunung Banyak, Batu East Java. This recreation has become the new tourist attraction for both domestic and international tourists. This makes the basis of this study to identify the factors that cause the accidents may happen to the employee and visitor, as well as the prevention done to minimize it and how to handle it when actually happens. The data used is the qualitative data, while the source taken from primary and secondary data. The data collecting process are conducted through an observation, interview and literature review. The data are analyzed qualitatively. The result shows that Health and Safety procedure in Paragliding Tourism is the main thing as most of it has been applied on the field. However, some improvements are still needed in the procedure for the maximum safety of both employee and visitor. The suggestion given to the owner of the Paragliding Recreation is to continue to watch the implementation of health and safety of Paragliding Tourism. As for the visitors are also suggested to always follow the rules and the instructor’s direction. The writer hopes this study will give brief summary of the implementation of health and safety procedure at the Paragliding Toursm, and will eventually be useful for the next more detailed study. Abstract

ABSTRACT European tourists who have a high interest in art and culture would be very appropriate for the tourism market of Ubud. Therefore, understanding the characteristics of European tourists is very important for the all stakeholders of Bali tourism, especially in relation to Ubud. This study aims to understand the meaning of behavior European first-timers and repeaters tourists who visited the village of Ubud. Studies of first timer and repeater tourist will be able to give a response why the tourists visit Ubud and what do they do there. In this study, the methods of data collection using observation, depth interviews, survey, and library research. While the techniques of data analysis using descriptive qualitative data analysis. Results obtained in this study were five of the most popular tourist activities by European tourists either first timers or repeaters. European first timers tourists are still in the position of "interest" and European repeater tourists in the position of "adoption" to perform their behavior in the Ubud Village.

Abstract

The—development--of business today is increasingly complex. Everyday-people are involved in...business_activity such--as purchasing of merits and stuffes . In this era of globalization, the business competition _must be transparant and consistent in meeting the needs of consumers, beside they must -also compete with competitors to maintain the image of their consumers. This also applies to the tourism industry. One of the tourism industries engaged in goods and services is the business center for souvenirs (shopping tourism). Several things that items to be considered as business are factors that can influence the buying interest of tourists at the center of souvenirs. This study –aims- to –analyze- the _influence - of - price factors and brand image related to domestic tourist shopping interests at the Jogger souvenir center, Kuta, Bali. This study uses multiple regression analysis methods with data sourced from observations, interviews, questionnaires, documentation and literature studies with non-probability sampling techniques as a method of determining to sample. Based on this research it could be concluded by the _price factor and brand _image has a significant influences on the buyinginterest of domestictourists on Joger, Kuta, Bali. Abstract

This study aims to determine the marketing strategy for the local art shops at Batu Belig, Badung Regency. This research is interesting to be conducted because there is a difference between local and foreign art shops which could be identified from several aspects. This research is both interesting as well as important to make the local peoples as locals entrepreneurs to be able to compete with the investors. The data in this study are qualitative data, which were obtained based on the results of observation, in- depth interviews, literature studies, and questionnaires. The amount of sampling is 60 respondents and they were selected using purposive and accidental sampling. In order to survive in this tourism business, local owners must have a marketing strategy to increase the promotion by introducing Balinese culture, creat the innovative design of new product, making corporate identity, and increasing market segmentation, the positive image, product quality and the quality of service. The suggestion in this study is local entrepreneurs should be able to create some innovative products that are more representing Balinese culture. Keywords: art shop, strategy, Balinese culture

Abstract

Badeng river is one of rafting location in Sumberbulu Village, Songgon District, Banyuwangi Regency. It has river grade approximately about 2 – 3 where the difficulty for rafting for beginner is still doable. Therefore, rafting in Pinus Camp can be made for tourist attraction. However, it is inevitable that having an activity in a wild nature can cause risk threatening the tourists’ safety. But, if it is done by maximum preparation as possible, it can minimize the unwanted risk. This research aim is to know the rafting activity in Pinus Camp and the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) on rafting in Pinus Camp as attraction in Badeng river. To collect the data of this research are observation, interview, and documentation. In analyzing used of this is a qualitative descrptive the tourism development and the influence of tourism development toward the physical environment. To have a ruslt of the research related to rafting in Pinus Camp are 3 activities, those are; Rafting, Tubing, and Riverboarding. For rafting and tubing, there are 4 trip packages, those are; long trip package, wonderful trip package, fun trip package and education trip. And for the riverboarding, it doesn’t have any packages yet because the activity is only used for the Pinus Camp guides. And for the results of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) implementation on rafting activity in Pinus Camp as attraction in Badeng river consists of 8 criteria, those are: 1. Occupational Health and Safety (K3) on white water rafting for tour guides, 2. K3 on coordinating and operating rafting tours, 3. K3 on leading the boat crew when doing a rafting, 4. K3 on rafting equipments preparation, 5. K3 on giving direction and debriefing of rafting techniques to boat crews, 6. K3 on anticipating emergency situations and conditions, 7. K3 on developing knowledge about the characteristics of rivers and rapids, 8. K3 of communicated by radio communication (HT) and signals. Abstract

The business competition of man made tourism industry especially at East Java Province is quite tight. One of them is Surabaya City that has Suroboyo Carnival Night Market (SCNM) as the newest man made tourist attraction which in the past year has been the favourite of local tourist in Surabaya. The research conducted in SCNM that focused on external conditions of SCNM, internal conditions of SCNM are viewed through the marketing mix, and review the implementation of SCNM marketing strategy which are analyzed by online reviews of SCNM visitors in Trip Advisor website. The data type are qualitative and quantitative data. Data are collected by observation, interview, documentation, and literature review. The informants are selected by purposive sampling method. Then descriptive qualitative analysis used to analyzing the data. This study shows that the external conditions of SCNM are influenced by politic factor, economy factor, social factor, and technology factor that each of it has opportunities and threats. The internal conditions of SCNM are viewed from product aspect has a diverese rides, from pricing aspect has an affordable price, from promotion aspect offers a variety of interesting promo, from place aspect is zero level channel, from people aspect is still hampered by the lack of employee that certified regional competency standards, from process aspect has in-out area, playground and public area, and night market area, from physical evidence aspect has a highly characteristic through their decoration and their souvenirs. SCNM marketing strategy was also quite successful by gaining 77.5% points good reviews from visitors based on the Trip Advisor website.

Abstract

Bali Treetop Adventure Park is a tourist attraction, which is located in the Eka Bali Botanical Garden, Candi Kuning, Tabanan Regency. This tourist attraction offers adventure activities or adventures that are above the altitude.This researchaims toknow the application of Workplace Safety and Health on adventure activities in the tourist attraction of Bali Treetop Adventure Park The data used in this research is the type of qualitative data, while the data source is primary data and secondary data. Data was collected byobservation, interview and literature study, and assisted by data analysis technique. The results show that the application ofWorkplace Safety and Health in this tourist attraction has been excellent. From the personal aspect, there is training for all the staf to improve their knowledge and skills in preventing and handling accidents, staf also asks for health conditions of tourists before attempting adventure rides, safety checks of the equipment and checking of the adventure rides is also conducted on a daily basis. From The insitutional aspect, company also divides the staf into different tasks so that stafcan focus on their work. Environmental conditions such as weather conditions are also considered, during bad weather conditions this adventure vehicle will be closed. Every package purchased by tourists include the cost of insurance, in case of an accident involving the tourists then all the medical expenses will be covered by the insurance. Abstract

The key of success in a company is on how the manager manages the company to survive, to compete, and dominate the market share. Therefore, management is a very important thing of a company, including a company which is running in the marine tourism sector. Benoa Marine Recreation is the first company which started water sport business in Bali and it is very interesting to determine its management. This research aims to determine the marine tourism management of PT Benoa Marine Recreation (BMR) in Tanjung Benoa village, Kuta Selatan subdistrict, Badung regency. The method used in this research is qualitative method and the data sources is primary data and secondary data. The data collecting method used in this research are observation, interview, and documentation and assisted with data analysis techniques. The result of this research explains that the management of Benoa Marine Recreation is very well by using kinship system. The functions of management are also running well, such as the planning has running properly, organizing also has running well. Every employes are involved, employees are doing their duty and obligation properly. The actuating has done by the general manager. The general manager also directs and motivates all employees. The coordination between boss and employees has interlaced very well. The controlling of water sport activities which is done by the operational manager also running well.
