Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has changed consumer behavior, especially when it comes to online shopping. Ease of access to information and transactions via the internet has created a new phenomenon, namely online shopping addiction (OSA). OSA is defined as the tendency to shop excessively and compulsively over the internet, which can cause economic, social, and emotional problems. Research shows a positive correlation between internet addiction and online shopping addiction. Although online shopping provides convenience, it can also have negative impacts such as compulsive buying and financial problems. OSA can be measured along six dimensions: salience, mood modification, tolerance, withdrawal, conflict, and relapse. Individual coping skills play an important role in overcoming compulsive shopping tendencies. Individuals with good active coping skills tend to be better able to manage situational demands and have a lower risk of developing addictive behaviors such as OSA. Understanding OSA and the factors that influence it is important for developing effective prevention and intervention strategies in overcoming the problem of online shopping addiction in this digital era.

Abstract

Fenomena kemiskinan masih menjadi permasalahan penting yang terjadi hampir di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Berbagai faktor seperti ketidakmerataan pendapatan dan rendahnya kualitas sumber daya manusia menjadi penyabab dari permasalahan ini. Program pemberdayaan keluarga yang kurang mampu atau dhuafa menjadi salah satu upaya untuk membantu mereka memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya melalui kegiatan usaha, sehingga dapat menjalani kehidupan yang lebih layak. Pemberdayaan merupakan proses yang dilakukan oleh individu atau masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kapasitas dan kemampuannya, sehingga mereka menjadi lebih berdaya dalam membangun diri dan yang bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kualitas hidup, mewujudkan kesejahteraan, dan mencapai kemandirian. Pemberdayan keluarga dhuafa dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode PAR (Participatory Action Research). Kegiatan ini mencakup penentuan keluarga dhuafa yang memiliki keterbatasan ekonomi, fundraising, serta penyerahan bantuan berupa modal usaha. Setelah dilaksanakannya program pemberdayaan tersebut, menunjukkan kesuksesan dan keberhasilan dalam membantu mengatasi keterbatasan ekonomi yang dialami oleh keluarga dhuafa, sehingga uang yang dihasilkan dari usaha tersebut dapat digunakan untuk menambah biaya kehidupan sehari-hari dan biaya pendidikan anaknya.

Abstract

This empowerment program aims to help the family of Mrs. Lilis Suryani, a single mother with a disabled child, in improving her welfare through a wet cake sales business. This research uses a qualitative approach with the Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) method which involves students as researchers to gain an in-depth understanding of the social problems faced by the community through a process of identification and partnership with the local community. This activity took place for approximately 2 months in the East Jakarta area, precisely in the Condet area, Kramat Jati District, Balekambang Village. The implementation of the program includes preparation activities, fundraising, purchasing the items needed, handing over business capital assistance, and evaluating activities. The results of this program show an increase in the daily income of Mrs. Lilis's family from an average of Rp. 30,000-40,000 to Rp. 60,000-160,000 per day, as well as the growth of enthusiasm and motivation to continue developing her business. This program emphasizes the importance of community empowerment, especially for poor families who face economic limitations and challenges in caring for children with disabilities. Collaboration between students, communities, and related parties has proven effective in creating solutions that can improve the welfare of poor families and bring positive changes in their lives.

Abstract

Empowerment to the community is one of the important activities that must be carried out in the context of empowering efforts, especially in communities that are considered weak and vulnerable to poverty, so that they have the ability and strength to break away from adversity, backwardness, and backwardness. This empowerment activity for poor families aims to help a housewife who is trying to support her family, especially for her children. Although it is not easy to be a mother who also requires her to be the head of the household. In addition to having heavy burdens and dependents for his family. That way, this dhuafa family empowerment program focuses on efforts to provide business capital to Head of Household Mothers in the South Jakarta area. The method used in this empowerment is Youth Participatory Action Research (Y-PAR), which is used because of the collaboration between lecturers and students. This activity is also able to encourage families who play the role of Head of Household Mothers who were previously very limited in the economy but are now able to regain their economic resources in improving the welfare of their families.

Abstract

Islam rahmatan lil alamin is believed to be the key to success in shaping the personality and character of students and building the future of a multicultural civilization. Even though there are many studies that examine the importance of grounding the Islamic ideas of rahmatan lil Alamin in higher education, very few reveal the methods and pedagogical practices of Islamic rahmatan lil 'alamin even in Islamic tertiary institutions. This research aims to analyze innovative pedagogical practices in cultivating Islamic values rahmatan lil 'Alamin at Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka (Uhamka), one of the Muhammadiyah Universities in Indonesia. Using qualitative methods, data was collected by means of content analysis of prepared reports and interviews with students. The results of the research show that through the empowerment program for poor families in the Muhammadiyah course, students learn to practice empathy, prosocial behavior, doing good, being useful, and giving love to others as the main values of Islam rahmatan lil 'alamin

Abstract

This community service activity aims to help improve the welfare of families with disabilities in order to be able to improve their business. Poverty in families with disabilities has become a major problem in poverty eradication in Indonesia. A person with a disability and their family still often facing stigma and discrimination in society, which can complicate daily life and limit their employment opportunities. Thus, this community service is by providing business capital to disabled families in the Lebak area. The YPAR (Youth Participatory Action Research) method that we will use in community service programs with collaboration between lecturers and students. This community service activity has been able to encourage families with disabilities to improve the quality of life by providing access to work and as an effort to increase the independence of family members who have disabilities which can be done through the provision of business capital.

Abstract

Construction of the Meaning of Hikmah in the Qur'an and Wisdom in Western Psychology: A Comparative StudyAlthough there have been many studies examining the psychology of wisdom with religious and cultural perspectives, research on the psychology of wisdom in the perspective of the Qur'an is very rare. This article aims to analyze and find the construction of the meaning of hikmah in the al-Qur’an and compare it with the psychology of wisdom in the perspective of Western psychology in order to find similarities and differences. Using a qualitative approach, this article explores the word hikmah in Qur'an with its exegesis using al-Qur’an al-Bahis apps and studies literature on the psychology of wisdom. The data source is processed by content analysis. The results of the study found that there were similarities and differences between wisdom in the Qur'an and the psychology of wisdom in psychology. Wisdom in Islam is not only a gift from Allah but is also oriented to worship, carry out Allah's commands and stay away from His prohibitions. While wisdom in psychology is more obtained by being cultivated through learning and experience and is oriented to solving everyday worldly problems. This study is useful in complementing, enriching the theory and practice of the psychology of wisdom that is currently developing.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia triggered the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) policy, which resulted in significant changes to the socio-economic activities of the community. The impact is felt widely, especially on the continuity of employment and workers' income. In the early stages, the International Labor Organization (ILO) estimates that around 25 million global jobs could be lost due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A significant reduction in working hours is also predicted, with a potential loss of 305 million full-time jobs by the second quarter of 2020. The community service program was carried out in Babakan Gempol Village, Tangerang, to empower poor families, especially Mrs. Sri Wahyuni who was affected by layoffs. Through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, this program provided business capital to open a takoyaki and papeda business, which succeeded in increasing the family's daily income from Rp. 150,000 to Rp. 185,000. This activity shows that economic empowerment through small businesses can help poor families achieve a more prosperous life. Keyword: Duafa family, Covid-19, Entrepreneurship

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan keluarga kurang mampu dengan perempuan sebagai tulang punggung keluarga di daerah Jatiasih, Kota Bekasi. Program ini dilaksanakan oleh tim kolaborasi antara dosen dan mahasiswa dari Fakultas Psikologi Uhamka Jakarta menggunakan metode Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR). Metode ini memungkinkan mahasiswa untuk secara aktif membangun pengetahuan mereka dengan mengidentifikasi masalah sosial dan mencari solusinya melalui kerja sama. Dalam pelaksanaan program, tim melibatkan mahasiswa dalam semua tahap, mulai dari pemilihan keluarga mitra, perancangan program, hingga evaluasi akhir.Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan peningkatan kesejahteraan keluarga mitra, terutama dalam stabilitas penghasilan melalui usaha warung. Dengan bantuan berupa perlengkapan dan bahan usaha, Ibu Sartika mampu meningkatkan kondisi perekonomiannya. Selain itu, kegiatan penggalangan dana dan edukasi publik tentang kepekaan sosial berhasil meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif masyarakat dalam membantu sesama. Penggalangan dana dilakukan secara online dan melalui donasi langsung dari masyarakat, berhasil mengumpulkan total Rp 2.200.000, melebihi target awal sebesar Rp 2.122.000. Program ini tidak hanya memberikan manfaat langsung kepada keluarga mitra, tetapi juga memberikan pengalaman belajar yang berharga bagi mahasiswa. Melalui keterlibatan dalam seluruh proses pengabdian, mahasiswa memahami pentingnya prinsip keagenan (agency) dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Program ini berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan di bidang pemberdayaan masyarakat dan pendidikan, khususnya dalam mempromosikan kesejahteraan sosial dan ekonomi melalui pendekatan YPAR.

Abstract

Kendatipun studi mengenai kerelawanan banyak dilakukan, namun masih sangat sedikit kajian yang mengkhususkan tentang promosi kerelawanan mahasiswa melalui pendidikan agama. Hal ini karena adanya persepsi bahwa kerelawanan mahasiswa tidak menimbulkan perubahan yang berarti di masyarakat. Di samping itu, mahasiswa sebagai generasi muda seringkali dipandang terlalu materialistic dan kurang peduli terhadap lingkungan sosialnya. Studi ini hendak menganalisis strategi meningkatkan kerelawanan mahasiswa melalui Pendidikan agama, secara khusus mata kuliah Kemuhammadiyahan di Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa inovasi dalam mata kuliah Kemuhammadiyahan berhasil menumbuhkan sikap dan perilaku kerelawanan mahasiswa
