Abstract

Tujuan penelitia ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran penggunaan model probelem based learning untuk meningkatkan peguasaan konsep siswa SMK kelas XI pada materi fluida statis serta untuk memperoleh gambaran tanggapan siswa terhadap model problem based learning.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain “pretest-posttest control group design” yang dilaksanakan di kelas XI pada salah satu SMK di kabupaten Sambas untuk tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes awal dan tes akhir untuk pengguasaan konsep siswa serta angket untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap model problem based learning. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh rata-rata N-gain penguasaan konsep siswa 0,33 untuk kelas eksperimen dan 0,206 untuk kelas kontrol. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t dua sampel independen dengan SPSS 16 menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model problem based learning berbantuan media eksperimen inkuiri lebih tinggi dibandingkan  siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan problem based learning dengan metode praktikum bebas. Disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan problem based learning dengan eksperimen inkuiri secara signifikan dapat lebih meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan siswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran problem based learning dengan praktikum bebas.

Abstract

Indonesia has been experiencing population and high economic growth in line with rapid urbanization. As a consequence, the needs for living areas increased faster and enormous number of residential buildings, especially apartments, have been developed in major cities, such as Bandung, resulting in further growth of energy consumption.Thus, it is necessary to develop energy-saving sustainable apartments in Indonesia in order to cope with escalating energy issues.  This paper reveals the detailed profiles of household energy consumption of apartments in Bandung City, Indonesia. A survey within the city was conducted (n=100) in 2016 to obtain household energy consumption data of public apartments. The detailed information about household appliances and domestic energy consumption profile among households were investigated through the face-to-face interviews and the measurement of appliances’ capacities by using the watt checker. The annual average energy consumption including electricity and gas was calculated. The results show that the annual average operational energy for public apartments are 9.8 GJ/year. The annual average energy for cooking accounts for the largest percentage (48%) of operational energy followed by refrigerator (27%), lighting (10%), entertainment (9%), cooling (3%), etc. The profiles of CO2 emissions are similar with those of energy and the potential energy-saving strategies for apartments in Indonesia were proposed.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) competence of Vocational High School teachers. A descriptive method was implemented through a survey. This study location was 3 Vocational High Schools in Bandung City, West Java Province, Indonesia. Furthermore, the participants were 90 teachers. The TPACK competency evaluation instrument for Vocational High School teachers was based on its components, namely Technological Knowledge (TK), Content Knowledge (CK), Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK), Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK), Technological Content Knowledge (TCK), and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). The results of this study showed the TPACK competence of the Vocational High School teachers was 3.68 which was classified as high. The maximum and minimum score was 3.84 and 3.58 for the Content Knowledge and Technological Knowledge component, respectively. This indicates that the teachers had the highest competence in knowledge of subject matter content and the lowest in understanding and applying technology to learning. Therefore, there was still a need for efforts to improve the competence of these teachers in understanding and applying technology in learning.

Abstract

The main objectives of this research are developing Teaching Materials for the Vocational Teacher Professional Education Program Using M-Learning-Based Flip Book Maker Educational Media. In detail, the objectives of this study are to 1) analyse the need for developing teaching materials for the professional teacher education program Vocational using m-learning-based flip book maker educational media; 2) Develop teaching materials for the Vocational PPG Program using m-learning-based flip book maker educational media; 3) Implementation of PPG Vocational Program teaching materials using m-learning-based flip book maker educational media and 4) Knowing student responses to the use of Vocational PPG Program teaching materials using m-learning-based flip book maker educational media. Developing teaching materials that are technological developments is very important to increase the learning effectiveness of Vocational Professional Teacher Education. One of the efforts is Developing Teaching Materials for the Teacher Professional Education Program vocational Using M-Learning-Based Flip Book Maker Educational Media. The research results are expected to solve the learning problems faced by Vocational Professional Teacher Education in presenting learning media in the form of a flipbook maker based on mobile learning to improve the quality of the Vocational Professional Teacher Education learning process and outcomes. In this study, the development of mobile learning-based flip book maker educational media is used to facilitate the teaching and learning process and increase student motivation so that the teaching and learning process is more lively and vibrant.

Abstract

Kesehatan lingkungan sangat berpengaruh terhadap kesehatan masyarakat, sehingga pengembangan permukiman dengan konsep rumah sehat dapat secara langsung meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat. Selain faktor lingkungan yang dapat ditingkatkan melalui pengembangan fisik, faktor perilaku juga memberikan dampak yang besar terhadap derajat kesehatan masyarakat.  Rumah sehat dapat memberikan berbagai macam manfaat bagi penghuni yang sangat memengaruhi kesehatan baik dari segi pikiran maupun tubuh, termasuk mendorong timbulnya perilaku hidup sehat. Kegiatan ini  bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi dan edukasi kepada masyarakat terkait lingkungan rumah sehat sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas hidup masyarakat di Desa Kertawangi, Kecamatan Cisarua, Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Desa ini merupakan salah satu kawasan berkembang dengan potensi wisata yang tinggi. Program ini menemukan bahwa meskipun kondisi fisik area permukiman sudah cukup baik, masih ada beberapa hal yang dapat dan perlu ditingkatkan, termasuk gangguan hewan dan pengetahuan warga terkait konsep rumah sehat. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran, partisipasi, dan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam mengembangkan hunian menjadi rumah sehat dan juga berhuni dengan perilaku hidup sehat, sehingga menjadi langkah awal yang baik dari kegiatan berkelanjutan bagi desa binaan untuk membangun masyarakat yang berketahanan dan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan di masa mendatang.

Abstract

AbstractMosques as places of worship for Muslims need to have good quality of comfort. Acoustic comfort is one of them, it is very important to achieve the quality of comfort for people worshiping in the mosque. Each individual has a different response to the audial quality in the surrounding environment. Naturally, psychological responses can be affected by existing audial responses. The sound of nature can produce a positive impact in the form of calm and comfort for humans. By manipulating natural elements, especially water in interior design, it is expected to have a positive impact in the form of a sense of calm and comfort. In worship, feeling calm will affect the comfort in worship and is also expected to improve the quality of worship. This study aims to identify the influence of the sound of water felt by the congregation. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques used are literature studies and questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that water can have a fairly good impact on increasing comfort and solemnity in worship. However, to make water an element of interior design, there are many things that need to be considered because each individual has a different response to water features.Keywords: sound of water, mosque, psychology, acoustic comfort. AbstrakMasjid sebagai tempat ibadah umat Islam perlu memiliki tingkat kualitas kenyamanan yang baik, salah satu yang harus dipenuhi adalah kenyamanan akustik. Setiap individu memiliki respons yang berbeda terhadap kualitas audial di lingkungan sekitarnya. Secara alamiah, respons psikologis dapat terpengaruh oleh respons audial yang ada. Suara alam dapat menghasilkan dampak yang positif berupa ketenangan dan kenyamanan bagi manusia. Dengan memanipulasi unsur alam, khususnya air dalam desain interior, diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif berupa rasa tenang dan nyaman. Dalam beribadah, perasaan tenang akan mempengaruhi kenyamanan dalam beribadah dan juga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas peribadatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh suara air yang dirasakan oleh jamaah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa air dapat memberikan dampak yang cukup baik untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan dan kekhusyukan dalam beribadah. Namun untuk menjadikan air sebagai elemen desain interior, ada banyak hal yang perlu diperhatikan karena setiap individu memiliki respons yang berbeda terhadap fitur air.Kata kunci: suara air, masjid, psikologi, kenyamanan akustik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan penggunaan instrumen tes fisika berbasis open-endedquestionsebagai sarana berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa SMA. Dalam penelitian ini data dikumpulkan denganmetode observasi, dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Alat pengumpul data berupa angket dan wawancarakepada guru.Sampel penelitian adalah 6 guru fisika pada salah satu SMA Swasta di Bandung yang terdiridari 3 guru fisika kelas X, 2 guru fisika kelas XI dan 1 guru kelas XII. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwapenggunan tes fisika berbasis open-ended question dikategorikan cukup, dikarenakan kurangnyapengetahuan guru tentang open-ended question. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai studipendahuluan untuk pengembangan instrumen tes fisika berbasis open-ended question sebagai saranaberpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa SMA.

Abstract

Masjid merupakan tempat sentral bagi umat Islam untuk beribadah. Masjid sekolah merupakan salah satu jenis masjid yang digunakan oleh siswa dan guru tidak hanya untuk salat sendiri, tetapi juga salat berjamaah. Karena banyaknya siswa dan guru yang masuk ke dalam masjid, hal ini dapat menyebabkan kondisi tidak nyaman dan tidak khusyuk. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk memperhatikan kualitas kenyamanan masjid sekolah bagi jamaahnya, salah satunya adalah aspek termal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kualitas kenyamanan termal masjid SMA dan memberikan rekomendasi desain. Studi kasus penelitian ini berlokasi di SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Alat CBE Thermal Comfort digunakan untuk menganalisis PMV (Predicted Mean Vote) dari data yang diambil dalam studi kasus dan konfirmasi melalui wawancara pengguna. Tabel mahoni juga digunakan untuk memberikan rekomendasi desain untuk studi kasus. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa masjid ini mendapat sensasi yang sedikit hangat di semua tempat pengukuran tanpa ada orang di dalamnya. Namun, responden menyatakan akan terasa lebih panas jika dipenuhi oleh orang-orang, terutama pada waktu-waktu salat berjamaah. Beberapa rekomendasi yang diperoleh dari tabel mahoney seperti, mengubah bangunan ke orientasi utara-selatan, menambah ruang terbuka dalam ruangan dengan penetrasi atau sirkulasi angin, ukuran bukaan sekitar 25%-40% setinggi ukuran manusia, dan rekomendasi lainnya.

Abstract

AbstractCikapundung River is one of the rivers that divide Bandung City which functions as the city's main drainage, the general use of Cikapundung River water is for drinking water (PDAM Dago Pakar and PDAM Badak Singa), hydropower (Pakar and Cilengkung), and irrigation. The number of activities and utilization of the Cikapundung river in quantity is at risk of causing flooding which is influenced by various factors. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the flood discharge to determine the value of the planned flood discharge in the Cikapundung River. The purpose of this study was to analyze flood discharge using empirical methods on the Cikapundung river in the Tamansari area in the context of flood control efforts. The analysis carried out is a hydrological analysis which includes an analysis of maximum rainfall using the frequency distribution method type Gumbel, Haspers, Weduwen, and Log Pearson, and a design flood discharge analysis using the Rational Method. Based on the results of the analysis of the highest discharge, Rational Gumbel with a return period of 2 years 5,076 m3/s, a return period of 5 years 8,371 m3/s, a return period of 10 years 10,553 m3/s, a return period of 20 years 12,645 m3/s, 25 year return period 13,097 m3/s, 50 year return period 15,354 m3/s, 100 year return period 17,384 m3/s, 150 year return period 518,395 m3/sec. Efforts that can be made in flood control efforts are restoration or rearrangement of the environment around the Cikapundung river border. Keywords: Cikapundung Watershed Hydrological Analysis, Flood Discharge Analysis, Empirical Method

Abstract

The research objective was to determine students' attitudes towards the use of CCT and TBA in changing the conceptions of electrical circuits. This type of research is a qualitative research that uses non-test instruments with a Likert scale of two response categories, namely strongly agree (S) and disagree (TS). The sample was selected purposively, namely 48 students who had studied the electrical circuit material and were detected in a state of misconception about the Electrical Circuit material. The results of the student's attitude response were obtained, then the approval was determined by the level of the category. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that in general students gave positive responses regarding the role of TBA as a learning tool that could provide understanding so that they could change their wrong conceptions (misconceptions) into scientific conceptions when compared to CCT. This can be seen with 95.3% of respondents who gave positive attitudes for TBA and only 62% of respondents who gave positive attitudes for CCT, so that the category was very positive for TBA and positive for CCT in changing students' conceptions.
