Abstract

This research is a development research which aims to develop liveworksheet-based worksheets using a scientific approach to statistical material. The method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D model which is limited to step 3, namely define, design and development. The instrument used was in the form of a written test totaling 5 questions and non-tes in the form of a student response questionnaire with a total of 30 statements. The subjects in this study were 10 class IX students as a limited test sample and 25 class VIII students as a broad test sample at Bhakti Mulya Batujajar Middle School, West Bandung Regency. The results of this study indicate that the LKPD that has been developed obtains results in the "Very Valid" feasibility category with the student's response to the LKPD that has been developed is "Practical" LKPD. So the LKPD developed is an LKPD that is effectively used by students.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the enhancement of mathematical problem-solving abilities among Grade VII Junior High School students using two different instructional models: the Visual Basic for Applications Excel (VBA) Assisted Problem-Based Learning Model and the scientific learning model. The research employs an experimental approach with a pretest-posttest control group design involving two groups: an experimental class and a control class. The entire 7th-grade population of SMP Negeri 3 Lembang participated in the study, with Class VII-D serving as the experimental group and Class VII-E as the control group. Data on mathematical problem-solving abilities were collected through pretest and posttest assessments. Data analysis was conducted using Microsoft Excel and SPSS 29. The findings indicate that students in the experimental group, who were taught using the Problem-Based Learning Model assisted by Visual Basic for Applications Excel (VBA), demonstrated greater improvement in their mathematical problem-solving skills compared to those taught using the scientific learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the level of validity, practicality and effectiveness of Problem Based Learning social arithmetic teaching materials assisted by Liveworksheets. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method of Sugiyono's development model which consists of 10 stages which are limited to step 7, namely: potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product trial, and product revision. The research subjects were: a VII grade math teacher, 10 VIII grade students, and 30 VII grade students. Instruments in this study include: interview sheets, validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and mathematical communication skills tests. Data processing techniques in the form of quantitative data analysis include validity analysis, practicality analysis, and effectiveness analysis of test results. The results of this study that LKPD teaching materials have met the eligibility criteria. This is because based on the results of the validation of experts who get a score of 80% which is considered valid. In the limited product trial, a score of 81% was obtained in the very practical category. As well as extensive product trials obtained a score of 85% with a very practical category. Then during the effectiveness test, it got a score of 80% with the effective category. Thus teaching materials in the form of learner worksheet are suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is learning that prioritizes and facilitates student needs according to student characteristics, one of which is learning readiness, which consists of groups ready for challenges, understanding concepts and repeated concepts. From these three groups, it will be analyzed how learning obstacles occur in analyzing the circle concept. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with 15 research subjects. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the group of students who understand the concept and repeat the concept experience epistemological obstacles in understanding the relationship between the central angle and the circumferential angle, analyzing the area of a circle, analyzing the elements of a circle, and analyzing the relationship between the central angle and the area of the circle. Apart from that, students experience difficulty in representing the problems given because students are unable to find information and instructions from the questions given.

Abstract

Mathematics is essential for developing logical, analytical, and systematic thinking patterns. However, studies show that students' mathematical reasoning abilities are still low. Therefore, this study aims to develop an electronic student worksheet (LKPD) based on Discovery Learning integrated with Google Sites to improve junior high school students' mathematical reasoning abilities. This study adopted the revised Plomp development model, which includes three main stages: preliminary research, development (prototyping), and assessment. The subjects were 10th-grade students at a vocational high school in Cimahi City. The instruments used included an expert validation sheet, a practicality questionnaire, and a mathematical reasoning ability test. The results showed that the E-LKPD was valid and feasible to use based on expert assessment. The practicality test confirmed that the E-LKPD was easy to use and supported the learning process. Furthermore, the effectiveness test demonstrated a significant improvement in students' mathematical reasoning abilities. In conclusion, the Discovery Learning-based E-LKPD through Google Sites is an innovative solution in mathematics learning that effectively improves students' mathematical reasoning abilities.
