Abstract

Quantum dot adalah nanopartikel berbahan semikonduktor yang dapat memendarkan emisi saat dieksitasi. Sebuahpartikel quantum dot memiliki emisi yang sangat khas di antaranya adalah kerlipan emisi. Emisi dari satu quantum dot berkedip tidak teratur saat dieksitasi secara terus menerus. Untuk menganalisis kerlipan quantum dot, telah dikembangkan program analisis digital dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman MATLABTM. Programanalisis digital ini menggunakan data awal video rekaman emisi quantum dot. Analisis kerlipan quantum dot dilakukan dengan menghitung waktu kerlipan on dan waktu kerlipan off. Kurva probabilitas waktu on atau off hasil analisis mengikuti persamaan inverse-power law yang merupakan persamaan yang digunakan untukmengkarakterisasi sifat kerlipan quantum dot. Dengan menggunakan pemrograman digital ini, analisis kerlipan quantum dot dapat dikarakterisasi dengan cepat, baik, dan benar. Program digital ini dibuat dalam bentuk GUI (graphical user interface) sehingga memudahkan analisis dan dapat diterapkan untuk semua analisis kerlipan quantum dot berbasis video rekaman.

Abstract

Efisiensi kuantum digunakan sebagai parameter kualitas nanopartikel luminesensi. Pengukuran efisiensi kuantum biasanya memerlukan peralatan yang rumit dan mahal. Oleh karena itu pada penelitian ini, sistem pengujian efisiensi kuantum yang lebih sederhana dibuat dengan memadukan LED biru yang memiliki panjang gelombang emisi 405 nm, bola integrasi, dan fotospektrometer. Efisiensi kuantum dihitung dengan menggunakan sistem pengujian dua tahap. Sistem yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini berhasil mengukur efisiensi kuantum dengan baik dengan tingkat keakuratan rata-rata 88.4% untuk 14 sampel quantum dot dibandingkan dengan hasil pengukuran yang menggunakan peralatan komersial pengujian efisiensi kuantum. Rentang panjang gelombang 350 nm hingga 500 nm dan 501 nm hingga 700 nm digunakan masing-masing untuk menghitung jumlah foton terabsorpsi dan teremisikan. Efisiensi kuantum yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini bergantung pada banyak faktor, seperti konstanta konversi intensitas fotoluminesensi dengan jumlah energi foton, volume quantum dot, tumpah tindih spektra LED biru dengan emisi quantum dot, dan kerataan eksitasi. Nilai effisiensi kuantum yang didapat tidak bergantung pada arus masukan LED biru. Sistem pengujian efisiensi kuantum ini dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut untuk berbagai nanopartikel luminesensi lainnya dengan memperhatikan kesesuaian absorpsi dan emisi nanopartikel luminesensi dengan sumber eksitasi LED. Secara umum, sumber eksitasi LED biru dapat digunakan untuk mengukur efisiensi kuantum dengan baik.

Abstract

Penelitian  ini merupakan suatu kuasi eksperimen berdesain pretes-postes kelompok kontrol dengan tujuan menelaah kemampuan komunikasi, dan disposisi matematik siswa melalui pembelajaran generatif. Laporan ini adalah bagian dari penelitian tesis dengan subyek penelitian sebanyak 70 siswa kelas X dari satu SMA Negeri di Cimahi.  Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari satu tes uraian komunikasi matematik, dan satu skala disposisi matematik. Penelitian menemukan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran generatif mencapai mutu yang cukup baik dan itu lebih baik daripada mutu siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Namun penelitian ini juga menemukan tidak ada perbedaan disposisi matematik siswa pada kedua pembelajaran dan disposisi matematik siswa telah tergolong cukup baik. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menemukan terdapat asosiasi antara kemampuan komunikasi matematik, dan disposisi matematik, serta siswa menunjukkan persepsi yang baik terhadap pembelajaran generatif.Kata kunci:   disposisi matematik, komunikasi matematik, pembelajaran generatif, persepsi  terhadap pembelajaran generatif.

Hotel The Westin Jakarta is one of hotels which located at M.H Thamrin street that has primary function as hotel andappartement/office. For the aim needs an installation and distribution design of electrical power well. Settingup for electrical circuitry which appropriate with Persyaratan Umum Instalasi Listrik (PUIL) 2000 in orderthat electrical installation effort carry out well to guarentee job safety and environment. The study of installation and distribution design of electrical power at Hotel The Westin Jakartaintends to describe about an installation and distribution electrical power that will be used in Hotel TheWestin Jakarta appropriate with PUIL 2000. Methods of investigation are (1) Documentation (2) Interview (3)librarywork. Based on analysis of data was obtained installation and distribution design that agree with PUIL2000 about 93,36% from three categories are analyzed they are cross-sectional area of cable, rated current ofelectrical devices, and choosing of protection conductor. Based on analysis data, it can be conclude that (1) installation and distribution design of electricalpower of The Westin Jakarta Hotel has appropriated PUIL 2000 because it has been completed gambarsituasi, gambar instalasi, one line diagram, gambar rinci, tabel bahan instalasi and uraian teknis. (2) Allpower cable has KHA upon the load current flows, for choosing the rating current of protection device hasappropriate, so, if the disruption happen in one of the panel it is not interfere with other panel. (3) There isdeviation PUIL 2000 in choosing of protection conductor about 18,9%.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to optimize the use of Ca-Alginates beads as a drug reservoir in the patch system with and without freeze-drying process. Meloxicam, an anti-inflammatory non-steroidal drug, was used as a drug model. Ca-alginate beads were prepared by ionic gelation method using polymer alginate and cross-linker CaCl2. The beads were evaluated for its melting temperature, FTIR spectra, and entrapment efficiency. The FTIR study showed the loss of guluronic peaks of alginate caused by a cross-linking process with Ca2+, characteristics peaks of meloxicam still appeared indicating the compatibility of the drug with the polymers used. The using Ca-alginate beads without freeze-drying process as a drug reservoir resulted in a very wet patch that was difficult to dry, cracked surface, and pharmaceutically not acceptable. Meanwhile, patch using Ca-alginate beads with the freeze-drying process as a drug reservoir demonstrated satisfactory characteristics with minimum weight variation among the patches that lead to giving uniformity in the drug content.

Abstract

Time correlated single photon counter was design for measuring fluorescence lifetime of emitting materials. It was designed for photonics basic research and science that is usually done in a laboratory. Furthermore, time correlated single photon counter can be used to measure simple and more practical optical properties of materials, such as refractive index. However, since the system was not designed for this practical application, a simple setup modification and calculation is required. In this work, time correlated single photon counter is utilized to measure the refractive index of sodium chloride solutions. The measurement was done using simple time of flight calculation of each pulse of picosecond pulsed laser. Our measurement was done on different concentrations of sodium chloride that have different refractive indices. It was found that the measurement technique and calculation was able to produce consistent quantitative calculation of refractive indices.

ABSTRACTThis paper reported the findings from a pretest-postest experimental control group design conducted in 2014 by using generative teaching-learning to investigate students’ mathematical communication ability and mathematical disposition. This report was a part of a master thesis that involved 70 tenth grade students from a senior high school in Cimahi. The instruments of the study were an essay mathematical communication test, a mathematical disposition scale, and a students’ perception toward generative teaching-learning scale. The study found that in terms of mathematical communication ability, the grade of students taught by generative teaching-learning was better than the grade of students taught by conventional teaching. However, in terms of mathematical disposition there were no grades difference between students taught by generative teaching-learning and students taught by conventional teaching, and those grades were fairly good. Moreover, students’ perception to generative teaching-learning was good and there was association between mathematical communication and mathematical disposition.

Abstract

The contentious origin of the luminescence of carbon nanodots (CDs) has attracted considerable attention. In this work, we synthesized CDs from orange peel by using a microwave-assisted technique. We investigated the optical properties of the synthesized CDs. Moreover, we studied the effect of matrix addition on the optical properties of CDs. We found that matrix addition significantly influences the absorbance and photoluminescence of CDs. Shifts in absorbance peak intensity and emission peak wavelength indicated that the bonding of matrix molecules on the surfaces of the CDs has changed the structures of CDs. This finding is supported by the extended half-life of CDs after matrix addition. Our results will expand researchon the use of CDs as phosphorescent materials.
