Abstract

Phenomenology is a method designed by Edmund Husserl as a rigorous and apodictic philosophical method. Phenomenology in praxis is often regarded as a hermeneutical effort. This opinion at least comes from a number of philosophers who expressed his support to phenomenology as a hermeneutic.Some philosophers like Heidegger, Dilthey, and Ricoeur put phenomenology as a hermeneutic project. John D. Caputo even specifically positioned phenomenology as a proto hermeneutic or early hermeneutics. The views of the philosophers concerning phenomenology in various discourse certainly can not be separated from the fact that the reading of reality which does phenomenology through epoche procedure actually parse traces of hermeneutics.

Abstract

This article tries to analyze the phenomena of the death philosophically the perspective of the Anton Bakker’s anthropology of the metaphysics. The death events encountered by humans in daily life according to Bakker can be traced through two perspectives, namely negative or positive views. Negative views regard death as the end of everything. Death is the culmination (final) that completes all episodes of human life. There is nothing left behind death. Humans are fully considered complete and finished. Conversely, in a positive view, death is accepted by humans as a new phase of eternity. Death, in this case, does not divert or alienate people from the world. Humans stay alive and don't leave the world. Death crystallizes and perpetuates all human life. Through his death, humans are actually born as new humans in the world. Keywords: Death, Negative Views, Positive Views.

Abstract

Abstrak Revolusi hijau tahun 1970 telah mengubah kultur pertanian di Jawa. Kini, sistem pertanian di Jawa telah beralih ke sistem pertanian modern dan meninggalkan praktik-praktik pertanian tradisonal. Situasi ini berimbas pada pergeseran pranata mangsa sebagai sistem pengetahuan pertanian tradisional Jawa. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggali lebih dalam fenomena tersebut melalui penelitian intensif yang berlokasi di desa Joho, kecamatan Kalidawir, kabupaten Tulungagung, Jawa timur. Penelitian ini berjenis kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi lapangan dan pustaka. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan studi kepustakaan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode hermeneutika filosofis yang dipadukan dengan perspektif Louis Althusser tentang Ideologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, 1) Revolusi hijau menyimpan hikayat konflik ideologi antara kapitalisme dan komunisme, keduanya saling berebut pengaruh kekuasaan secara politik, ekonomi dan budaya di negara dunia ketiga. 2) Imbas dari konflik ideologi menyababkan transformasi kognitif dan struktur sosial masyarakat yang akhirnya menggeser sistem pertanian tradisonal menjadi teknologi modern. 3) Pergeseran kognitif dan sistem pertanian tersebut pada akhirnya menyebabkan posisi pranata mangsa terancam hilang di dalam ruang sosial-budaya masyarakat desa Joho, hingga saat ini indegenouse knowledge tersebut hanya tersisa kenangan dalam ingatan segelintir warga. kata kunci: Pranata Mangsa, Revolusi Hijau, Ideologi, Lois Althusser, Transformasi Kognitif. Abstract The Green Revolution of 1970 has transformed the agricultural culture in Java. Today, the farming system in Java has shifted to modern agriculture, leaving behind traditional farming practices. This situation has impacted the shift in the institution of ‘pranata mangsa’ as the traditional agricultural knowledge system in Java. This article aims to delve deeper into this phenomenon through intensive research located in the village of Joho, Kalidawir district, Tulungagung regency, East Java. This qualitive-descritive research employs a field and literature study approach. Data is gathered through observation, interviews, and literature review. Data analysis is conducted using a combination of philosophical hermeneutics method and Louis Althusser’s perspective on ideology. The research findings indicate: 1) The Green Revolution embodies the narrative of ideological conflict between capitalism and communism, both vying for political, economic, and cultural influence in third world countries. 2) The repercussions of ideological conflict lead to cognitive transformation and social structure changes in the community, ultimately shifting from traditional farming systems to modern technology. 3) This cognitive shift and change in farming systems ultimately threaten the position of ‘pranata mangsa’ within the socio-cultural space of the Joho village community, and currently, indigenous knoeledge is only reminisced by a few villagers. Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis peran serta dampak Masjid Ar-Rahman di Kota Blitar dalam memajukan sosial ekonomi yang ada di Masjid dan juga di masyarakat sekitar Masjid. Pada umumnya Masjid dianggap sebagai pusat ibadah dan aktivitas keagamaan, namun tidak sedikit juga Masjid yang memiliki fungsi sebagai tempat untuk aktivitas kegiatan ekonomi yang kemudian memberikan kontribusi di dalam Masjid maupun di sekitar Masjid, seperti halnya Masjid Ar-Rahman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perubahan sosial pasca berdirinya masjid Ar-Rahman di kota Blitar menurut perspektif Max Weber. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi lapangan. Data-data dalam penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi langsung terhadap objek penelitian yakni masjid Ar-Rahman, wawancara dengan sejumlah informan penelitian yang terdiri dari takmir masjid, jamaah dan penjual yang ada disekitar Masjid sekaligus Masyarakat, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertama, agama memainkan peran penting dalam mendorong perekonomian. Analisis Weber tentang etika protestan memperlihatkan bagaimana kapitalisme terproduksi melalui semangat keagamaan. Kedua, keberadaan Masjid Ar-Rahman di kota Blitar terbukti mendorong perubahan sosial terutama ekonomi masyarakat melalui pelibatan masyarakat sekitar, salah  satunya yaitu dengan pembagian keplek  dan juga hasil wawancara dengan salah satu penjual minuman sekitar masjid bahwa dari sering sekali ikut kajian minggu subuh dan melihat peluang yang ada, maka beliau sepakat untuk mendirikan usaha  disekitar masjid.

Abstract

Film Pendek My Flag Merah Putih Vs Radikalisme menjadi salah satu film kontroversial di Tahun 2020. Film tersebut dinilai oleh sebagian kalangan menampilkan fragmen rasisme terhadap suatu kelompok, yakni kelompok bercadar, bercelana cingkrang, dan mengibarkan bendera hitam-putih. Melalui analisis semiotika Roland Barthes, penelitian ini berupaya mengetahui bentuk rasisme dalam film My Flag Merah Putih Vs Radikalisme. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat stereotip, prasangka, dan diskriminasi yang dilakukan oleh suatu kelompok terhadap kelompok lainnya. Isu radikalisme dan peristiwa terorisme yang diprovokasi media menguatkan mitos di masyarakat bahwa isu dan peristiwa tersebut erat kaitannya dengan cara berpakaian tertentu yang berimplikasi pada tindakan rasisme.

Abstract

This article discusses the shifting gender roles in religious practices traditionally dominated by men, a phenomenon that often triggers inequality. This situation has led to the emergence of the yasinan movement, a women's initiative that serves as a form of emancipation and a rejection of the marginalization of their roles in socio-religious spaces. This descriptive qualitative research adopts a case study approach on the yasinan women's congregation in Winong Village, Tulungagung Regency. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and literature review. The analysis was conducted using a hermeneutic-philosophical method, with the feminist perspective of Fatima Mernissi as the main analytical framework. The findings reveal two crucial points. First, Fatima Mernissi’s thought opens up new interpretative spaces for gender equality, highlighting the urgency for women to fight for their rights in order to achieve equality and justice in religious and cultural spheres. Second, the yasinan activities in Winong Village significantly reconstruct traditional religious practices as a gateway toward gender equality, particularly through informal education and the strengthening of women’s rights awareness. This study implies that community-based religious movements led by women have great potential as agents of social change, challenging patriarchal norms and promoting gender equality from the grassroots level within a deeply rooted cultural context.

Abstract

Mental health is one of the issues that has long been studied by Islamic civilization. As one of the early originators of mental health studies, al-Balkhi has contributed a lot through the book Mashalih al Abdan wa al Anfus. Panic and panic attacks are themes that appear quite often in the lives of modern people. According to data collected by Epidemiological studies, cases of panic disorder (PD) reach a range of 1.4 to 4.1% of the adult population. While panic attacks (PA) are in 14.4% of the population in countries that have high incomes. In addition, when compared to men, women have a higher potential of about 3-6% to suffer from the disorder. This research uses a library research method by collecting print and digital references and analyzing them with content analysis. According to al-Balkhi, panic, and panic attacks are interrelated conditions and are chronic forms of fear and anxiety. However, close or actual events are the most powerful drivers in triggering the disorder. Attempts to find meaning in events and redirect irrational thoughts towards something more rational are common themes in al-Balkhi's psychotherapy.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the potential, realization and performance of BAZNAS Tulungagung. The problem faced by OPZ has not been able to maximize its role as an institution that receives zakat from the community (muzaki), OPZ BAZNAS is demanded to be professional and build trust so that the public trusts and tithes to it. This study measures the nominal potential and the realization of zakat collected by BAZNAS Tulungagung. With descriptive qualitative methods and based on zakat data and analyzed data from BPS, it is found that Tulungagung Regency is an area with a Muslim population (98%) and economic growth of 5%, per capita income of 23 million rupiah, of course it is potential for collecting zakat funds. In this study, it was found that the zakat realization was Rp. 3.719.296.538, - from a potential of Rp. 153.772.822.140, ​​-. This can be analyzed because, (i) muzaki directly pays zakat to mustahik, (ii) muzaki's low trust in zakat management organizations, (iii) the utilization of zakat funds is not optimal, (iv) low understanding of zakat and (v) low quality of human resources (SDM) as amil zakat, the committees who organize zakat. Meanwhile, the distribution performance of BAZNAS Tulungagung is still dominated by charity patterns and partly empowerment in productive businesses.

Abstract

Islamic business ethics are universal ideas that are relevant to the business world. The value that is contained in the Islamic business ethics in line with the needs of the conventional business value. Various problems faced by the contemporary business is basically caused by the lack of understanding of human identity. This ignorance leads to negative behavior of businesses in running a business. The essence of business is essentially the fulfllment of human needs. Duties and responsibilities of Islamic business ethics is delivering business activities on the essence of business and self-awareness. However, the implementation of Islamic business ethics at the level applicable is not easy.
