Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using interactive PowerPoint in improving literacy in the Indonesian language subject for first-grade students at SDN Panggung Lor Semarang. In line with advances in information and communication technology, technology-based learning methods such as interactive PowerPoint are expected to improve the quality of education and student literacy from an early age. This research method uses a pretest and posttest method. Data were obtained through pretest and posttest on 28 students, with results showing a significant increase in the average score from 70.64 in the pretest to 92.46 in the posttest. The normality test using Shapiro-Wilk showed that the data were normally distributed. The homogeneity of variance test showed that the variance of the posttest data was homogeneous. These results indicate that the use of interactive PowerPoint not only improves students' learning outcomes but also reduces variation in their scores, indicating increased consistency in material comprehension. Thus, the use of interactive PowerPoint has proven effective in improving literacy and learning outcomes for first-grade students at SDN Panggung Lor Semarang.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the level of numerational ability of the students in the learning of Mathematics in Class IV at SDN Pedurungan Lor 02 through the application of the Teaching at the Right Level approach. (TaRL). The method used is qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach. The study involved 30 pupils, classmates, and pupil teachers as sources. Data is collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is done using Miles and Huberman's theory, which covers the stages of data collection, data reduction, presentation of information, and conclusion. The results of the study show that the application of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach is effective in improving the numeration skills of class IV pupils in the SDN Pedurungan Lor 02. Students were successfully grouped into low, medium, and high categories based on their numeration skills. TaRL application helps to identify the level of understanding of the student more accurately, so that learning can be tailored to the needs of each group. It shows that teaching strategies tailored to the level of apprenticeship can improve learning effectiveness, especially in developing numeration skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) modelassisted by crossword puzzle media on student learning outcomes in IPAS subjects for fifthgrade students at SD Negeri Sangubanyu 01 Batang. The research method used isquantitative with a pre-experimental design of one group pretest-posttest design. Thepopulation and sample in this study were all 25 students of class V. Data were collectedthrough tests (pretest and posttest), observation, and documentation. The results showedthat there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes after applying the PBLmodel with crossword puzzles as media. The paired sample t-test showed tcount > ttable(7.254 > 2.064) at a significance level of 5%, which means that the treatment given had asignificant effect on learning outcomes. The N-Gain test results showed a value of 0.65which is categorized as moderate. In addition, affective and psychomotor aspects alsoshowed an increase in student activity and learning motivation. Thus, the application of thePBL model assisted by crossword puzzle media is effective in improving student learningoutcomes in IPAS subjects.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest of elementary school students in cultural literacy learning due to the limited availability of interesting learning media. At SDN Klepu 01, teachers still rely on long textbooks that are less suited to student characteristics. This research aims to develop the “Baru Klinthing” folklore comic media as an innovative means to instill cultural literacy in first grade students. The method used is Research and Development with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects consisted of material experts, media experts, first grade teachers, and 28 students of SDN Klepu 01. Data were collected through validation sheets, questionnaires, and field trials, then analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the comic media obtained validation from material experts of 97.5% and media experts of 92.5% (both very valid). Teacher responses reached 100% (very good) and students 91.43% (practical). Comics were considered interesting, easy to use, and effective in helping the understanding of cultural values. Thus, the comic media "Baru Klinthing" is declared valid, appropriate, and well-received by teachers and students, and is effective in increasing reading interest and cultural literacy of elementary school students.
