Abstract

Produk Plastic Box Hexa Oil Pastel 72 Set Faber-Castell yang memiliki dimensi 604,8 mm x 233,9 mm x 26,0 mm dengan acuan berat produk 327 ± 5 gram. Berdasarkan data yang didapatkan dari hasil observasi terdapat masalah yang terjadi dalam proses produksi produk Plastic Box Hexa Oil Pastel 72 Set Faber-Castell, yaitu reject rate cukup tinggi dengan nilai 8,25% di bulan April 2023, dimana standart batasan maksimal reject rate di produksi adalah 5%.Permasalahan yang terjadi karena belum adanya standarisasi untuk parameter injeksi saat proses produksi sehingga parameter injeksi yang disetting menjadi kurang optimal. Akibat dari kurang optimalnya parameter injeksi menyebabkan terjadinya defect product dan tidak tercapainya berat produk yang diminta yaitu 327 ± 5 gram. Defect produk yang terjadi pada proses produksi produk Plastic Box Hexa Oil Pastel 72 Set Faber-Castell di bulan April antara lain defect bending sebesar 5,4%, discolour sebesar 1,2%, dan blackdot sebesar 1,7%. Penelitian berfokus untuk mengatasi permasalahan defect bending produk dimana standart flatness yang diminta adalah maksimal bending 0,2 mm dan tercapainya berat produk sesuai standart 327 ± 5 gram yang dapat diatasi salah satunya dengan optimasi parameter proses injeksi. Pengoptimalan parameter injeksi dapat dilakukan dengan kombinasi antar parameteryang memiliki pengaruh terhadap defect produk yaitu holding time, holding pressure, injection speed dan melt. Berdasarkan penelitian pengoptimalan parameter proses injection molding dalam pembuatan Produk Plastic Box Hexa 72 Set Faber-Castell menggunakan metode taguchi dan ANOVA dengan karakteristik smaller is better, didapatkan kombinasi parameter sebagai berikut : holding time selama 6 detik, holding pressure 60 bar, Injection Speed sebesar 55%, dan Melt Temperature sebesar 240 °C.

Abstract

Dust Collector merupakan salah satu alat penyedot debu yang berfungsi untuk memisahkan partikel padat dengan gas maupun cairan. Alat ini bekerja dengan menghisap debu yang beterbangan selama proses loading chemical ke dalam hopper. Permasalahan utama adalah adanya Dust Collector yang sudah terpasang, namun masih terdapat partikel chemical yang tersebar di ruangan. Penelitian ini merancang Dust Collector baru dengan metode VDI 2222 dan menganalisisnya menggunakan software Solidworks. Hasil rancangan berupa Dust Collector berukuran 2600 mm × 2200 mm × 2200 mm dengan high-efficiency cyclone dan debit blower 0,306 m³/s. Hasil pengujian simulasi menunjukkan efisiensi penangkapan debu mencapai 95% untuk partikel berukuran 10-50µm, serta tegangan maksimal pada rangka sebesar 154,98 kN/m², yang masih di bawah batas luluh material (250 kN/m²). Desain ini juga terbukti ekonomis dengan biaya produksi 20% lebih rendah dibandingkan alternatif lainnya.

Abstract

Cover Indonesian Growing Bucket has a product defect problem in the form of a warpage caused by a design considered good. There was a discrepancy in the parameter settings with the initial analysis results, resulting in a difference in cooling time of 2.3 s from the original 3.9 s. This happened because parameter changes aimed to reduce warpage cycle time from the original 25.4 s to 23.8 s. Based on the problems, design modifications and analysis were carried out using Solidworks Plastics software. The design modification and analysis process was carried out using the Experiment of Analysis method, which was carried out by modifying the thickness of the part, which resulted in a warpage. The analysis was carried out to obtain optimal thickness results with the smallest cooling time gap. Modifications and design analysis are done by making three (3) alternative thicknesses for the pipe clamp section. The best modification of the three (3) alternatives made will be used as a reference basis for making material cost calculation data. From the results of design modifications and analysis, it was found that the design thickness changed to 1.5 mm. Based on the results of this analysis, alternative options are produced, which are then used as a reference in design modifications so that the resulting fill time and cycle time are more optimal.

Abstract

Industri Hasil Tembakau menjadi salah satu sektor manufaktur nasional yang strategis, berkontribusi besar dan berdampak luas terhadap pembangunan bangsa. Salah satu industri yang bergerak dibidang pengolahan hasil tembakau adalah PT. XYZ, dengan produknya adalah rokok cigarillos. Mesin produksi pada produk ini terdiri dari gluing dan  cutting. Hasil wawancara yang dilakukan peneliti selama bulan agustus – oktober 2022 ditemukan adanya cacat produk berupa seperti broken (873 pcs) dan wrapper loose parah (14.521), dengan total prosentase rata rata 30%, melebihi standar yang ditetapkan perusahaan (15%). Hal ini imbas dari kondisi mesin yang tidak terawat (roll finger dan vacuum roll kotor menyebabkan wrapper loose, dan bunker yang bermasalah menyebabkan rokok patah). Metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) digunakan dalam studi ini untuk mengidentifikasi risiko kegagalan, mendapatkan nilai Risk Priority Number  (RPN) dan memberikan usulan perbaikan untuk produksi selanjutnya. Studi ini berhasil menemukan penyebab kegagalan produksi yaitu roller tidak bersinggungan dengan belt (Nilai RPN adalah 45). Rekomendasi yang diberikan kepada perusahaan adalah modifikasi dudukan roll belt dengan memperbesar radius atas pada dudukan belt.

Abstract

Resistance spot welding (RSW) is one of the most widely used joining methods for thin metal sheets in the manufacturing industry, particularly for low-carbon steel materials such as SPCC. At PT. XYZ, inconsistencies in weld quality have been observed due to the absence of optimized process parameters. This study aims to analyze the influence of spot welding parameters—welding current, welding time, and holding time—on the shear tensile strength of 0.9 mm SPCC material. The Taguchi method with an L9 orthogonal array experimental design was employed to identify the optimal parameter combination. Shear tensile testing was conducted in accordance with ISO 14273:2016, while data analysis was performed using the Signal-to-Noise (S/N) ratio with the "larger is better" criterion and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).The results indicate that welding current is the most dominant factor, contributing 71.12% to the variation in shear tensile strength, followed by welding time at 21.11%, while holding time has a relatively minor contribution of 5.66%. The optimal condition was achieved at 34 kA (welding current), 15 cycles (welding time), and 10 cycles (holding time), yielding a maximum shear tensile strength of 572.06 kgf and an S/N ratio of 54.00 dB. This study demonstrates that the Taguchi method is effective for optimizing spot welding parameters with a minimal number of experiments, providing a reliable technical guideline to improve the quality and consistency of production processes in the manufacturing industry.

Abstract

A distribution panel is a piece of equipment or device that consists of several electrical components that are arranged and arranged in such a way that they can distribute electrical power, and its use must guarantee security for users, so a Type-test is needed to determine the security of the distribution panel, one of the type-test tests is the temperature rise test. The temperature rise test was successfully carried out, but there are still problems, namely the heat distribution is unknown. The Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method with flow simulation software can be used for heat transfer analysis in distribution panel systems, so that an ideal panel design is obtained to overcome overheating. The CFD analysis process is carried out by comparing 3 distribution panel designs, namely the first design using an exhaust fan, the second design with one output ventilation, and the design without an exhaust fan. Based on the results of the CFD analysis, the safest distribution panel results were obtained, namely the first design using an exhaust fan, the design with an exhaust fan experienced a temperature drop of 4°C compared to the design without an exhaust fan and the second design when viewed from surface 9.

Abstract

Tourism plays a key role in the economic development and cultural preservation of Surakarta City, yet it remains underdeveloped compared to Yogyakarta, despite their similar geographical and cultural characteristics. In 2024, the number of tourists visiting Surakarta was less than half that of Yogyakarta. To boost Surakarta's tourism, an innovative strategy is required to attract more visitors and foster repeat tourism. This study employs a mixed-method approach, analyzing literature sources using descriptive, comparative, and projective techniques. It examines the factors contributing to Surakarta's low tourist numbers, analyzes the success of Pokémon GO, and formulates SoloVerse, an augmented reality mobile game. Key factors influencing tourism include Surakarta's uniqueness, beauty, cultural diversity, and available attractions. The success of Pokémon GO is attributed to six critical factors: progressiveness, contextual engagement, app positivity, game mechanics, user interest, and expectations. SoloVerse, which integrates these factors, is a location-based game that combines entertainment with educational content about Surakarta's local culture. It is projected to attract 1.3 million users and potential tourists, contributing to Surakarta's regional economic growth. This study offers a strategic recommendation for the Surakarta City Government to enhance tourism competitiveness and serves as a basis for future research on augmented reality games.
