Abstract

Due to decrease unemployment graduates, University of Darussalam Gontor-Indonesia provided the requirement through strengthening entrepreneurship development program for starts up business in Agricultural sector. The aims of the program are 1) improvement of production; 2) building financial system and 3) expanding network both of domestic and aboard market. To achieve the objectives, this program created four strategic levels which were 1) assessment; 2) training; 3) mentoring; and 4) evaluation. This program applied to 8 starts up business including in sub sectors of horticulture production, aquaculture, livestock and agro-industrial. The program resulted increasing on crop production, improvement of feasibility business analysis and internet marketing used.

Abstract

The objective of the research to determine the effect of row circle method on population and diversity of weed in sweet corn. This research was conducted in the Sub District of Siman, District of Siman, Ponorogo The research used a randomized block design (CBD) with 4 kinds of planting spaces included J1 = 8 plant/(60x80) cm2, J2 = 16 plant/(60x80) cm2, J3 = 12 plant/(60x80) cm2, J4 = 1 plant/(60x 80) cm2, J5 = 1 plant/ (60x80) cm2 with mowing. Each experimental unit was repeated 5 times so that there were 25 units. The observation was done on the Summed Dominance Ratio (SDR) of weeds on 21,28, 35 and 42 DAP (day after planting).  Largest SDR was found in Cynodon dactylon (54,23%) followed by broadleaf grass group (Phyllanthus nirurii, 40,5%), and Sphenoclea zeylanica (34,2%). Various planting system influenced weed species diversity. The number of weed species in 1 plant/(60x80) cm2 treatment was six species and higher than 8 plant/(60x80) cm2, 16 plant/(60x80) cm2,  12 plant/(60x80) cm2 and 1 plant/(60x80) cm2 with mowing treatment which has three species.

Abstract

One of the factors that decrease the production of the soybean crop is the low level of soil fertility. Soil fertility can be improved with the use of mulch combined with proper tillage. This Research is needed to determine the dose and the right soil processing combined with optimal doses of straw mulch to improve the growth and yield of soybean.This research conducted wit Split Plot Design with three replication, with soil tillage as main plot and rice straw mulch as sub plot. Soil tillage arranged with 3 level, O1:  maximum soil tillageO2: minimum soil tillage and O3: without soil tillage. Rice straw mulch arranged with 4 level, M0: without rice straw mulch (control), M1: rice straw mulch 2 ton/ha, M2: rice straw mulch 4 ton/ha and M3: rice straw mulch 6 ton/ha. Abstract

Weeds are an important factor in the decline of soybean  production. One of weed control techniques that can be done is to use alelopati as an bioherbicide. One source of allelopathy that can be utilized as bioherbicide is bamboo leaf litter. Problems arise if this alelopati also affect the pattern of germination cultivation plants because one of the main requirements of bioherbisida is not to affect the growth and development of crops. The purpose of this study was to determine whether leaf litter alelopathy would affect the germination of soybeans. The hypothesis this research is that bamboo leaf litter alelopathy will not affect the germination of soybean crops so it will be safe to use as a pre-plant bioherbicide. The treated treatment is without litter solution of bamboo leaf, and dosage of 5%, 10%, and 15% bamboo leaf litter solution. The design used was a complete non factorial randomized design with 5x replication. The conclusion of this research is the treatment of allelopathy given by application of bamboo leaf litter with various doses has no significant effect on the germination, sprout length, and germination time of soybean crop, so that bamboo leaf litter solution is safe to be used as bioherbicide on sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

The experiment aims to know the effect of The off-row circle planting method on the growth of sweet corn. This research was conducted in the Sub District of Siman, Ponorogo, with altitude 140 asl and textured clay grumosol soil types. The research used a randomized block design (CBD) with 4 kinds of planting spaces included C1 = 8 plant / (60x80) cm2, C2 = 16 plant / (60x80) cm2, C3 = 12 plant/ (60 x 80) cm2, C4 = 1 plant/ (60 x 80) cm2, C5 = 1 plant/ (60 x 80) cm2 with mowing. Each experimental unit was repeated 5 times so that there were 25 units. The observation was done at 21,28, 35, 42 and DAP (the day after planting). Some vegetative growth traits of sweet corn were determined as plant height (cm), the number of leaves (leaf plant-1), leaf area (m2) and leaf area index, fresh weight (g) and dry weight (g). Row circle planting method affected the fresh weight and dry weight of sweet on 49 DAP, sweet corn with 1 plant/ (60 x 80) cm2 with mowing treatments showed the higher value  and significantly different with other treatments, with 803 g for fresh weight and 7,70 g for dry weight.

Abstract

Uncontrolled weed growth in the early stages of crop establishment, can decrease final crop yield. Phytochemical compounds from bamboo’s (Dendrocalamus sasper) leaves known as flavonoids, phenolic and coumarin that inhibit the growth and development of weeds. The objective of this study was to utilizing bamboo’s leaves litter as bioherbicide for sustainable agricultural system. Weedy area used for observation of the effectiveness solution of bamboo’s leaves litter as bioherbicide is 1 m², first area for solution of bamboo’s leaves litter 10%, the second area for solution of bamboo’s leaves litter 5% and third plot only distilled water as a control treatment. Weeds SDR observations was done before spraying and 7 days after spraying bamboo’s leaves litter. The selected plot is a plot with diverse species of weeds. Observations SDR weeds to determine the level of effectiveness of a solution of bamboo’s leaf litter, was conducted used quadrant plots Weed species that dominated on our plot are Mikania micrantha, Eleusine indica, Cyperus rotundus, Cynodon stolon, Cynodon dactylon, Axonopus compressus dan Sanchus arvensis. Solution of bamboo’s leaves litter as bioherbicide are only capable controlled bermuda grass (Cynodon dactylon), both at a dose of 5 % and 10 %. For other species, solution of bamboo’s leaves litter did not work at

Abstract

The aim of this experiment was to study the effectof pine leaf as allelophaty on purslane germination. Theexperiment were conducted at screen house Departmentof Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Science, BrawijayaUniversity. The research is experimental design by nonfactorial Completely Randomized Blok Design, with threereplications, consisted of eleven levels. Purslane seeds sprout with control treatment, signifi cantly different from seedssprout ability in treatment solution leaves Pinus merkusii 2000ppm, and solution leaves of P. longaeva 2000 ppm. The resultshowed that 2000 ppm of P. merkusii extraction signifi cantlysuppressed 46% of purslane germination whereas 2000 ppmPinus longeava extraction signifi cantly suppressed of 41%campared to without any treatments (control).

Abstract

Khalayak sasaran dari kegiatan pengabdian msayarakat ini adalah petani desa Pudak Kecamatan Pudak Kabupaten Ponorogo. Kegitan pengabdian masyarakat dengan tema budidaya cacing Lumbricus bertujuan untuk: 1) Meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat dalam hal budidaya cacing Lumbricus 2) Meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat dalam hal manajemen usaha budidaya cacing Lumbricus 3) Membentuk kelompok masyarakat yang mandiri secara ekonomi dengan budidaya cacing Lumbricus. Tahapan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi 1) Tahapan sosialisasi dan koordinasi dnegan khalayak sasaran 2) Tahapan pelaksanaan yang terdiri dari tahapan pelatihan budidaya cacing Lumbricus dan juga kunjungan studi banding ke praktisi unit usaha cacing Lumbricus di Kota Malang.3) Tahapan evaluasi dan monitoring dilakukan untuk memastikan bahwa unit usaha cacing Lumbricus khalayak sasaran berjalan sesuai dengan prosedur. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah 1) Pendampingan budidaya cacing masih perlu diteruskan. 2) Anggota/kelompok budidaya cacing sudah mulai menikmati hasil panen.3) Perlu pembahasan lebih lanjut tentang jaringan keanggotaan kelompok budidaya cacing dan jaringan pemasaran selain ke Kota Malang.

Abstract

Di tengah permasalahan ekonomi yang semakin besar dan lapangan pekerjaan yang semakin sempit akibat pandemic Covid19, kewirausahaan dirasakan sebagai jalan yang paling efektif untuk membangkitkan kembali kehidupan perekonomian masyarakat. Dengan latar belakang tersebut, tim PPK Universitas Darussalam Gontor mengadakan workshop kewirausahaan dan diharapkan setelah pelatihan peserta pelatihan memperoleh keterampilan berwirausaha agar dapat mencapai efektivitas dalam melaksanakan tugas tertentu terkhusus dalam berwirausaha melalui pengembangan proses berfikir, sikap, pengetahuan, kecakapan, dan kemampuan. Workshop kewirausahaan ini diikuti oleh 20 tenant. Materi yang diberikan meliputi motivasi kewirausahaan, etika bisnis dalam Islam, perencanaan bisnis model kanvas, perencanaan keuangan, akuntansi, pemasaran melalui marketplace, pembuatan iklan, perancangan dan branding produk, penanganan dan keamanan produk pangan segar, serta pentingnya HaKI bagi startup.

Abstract

Di kabupaten Ponorogo luas tanaman tembakau mencapai 503 hektar yang tersebut di 10 kecamatan dengan 4 jenis tembakau yang ditanam oleh petani tembakau di musim tanam tembakau tahun 2018. Produksi tanaman tembakau di kabupaten Ponorogo mencapai 609 ton denga produktivitas rata antara 1,2 – 1,5 ton/hektar tembakau kering (rajangan, krosok dan asepan). Produksi ini semakin tahun semakin meningkat seiring pertambahan luas areal penanaman tembakau dan peningkatan kualitas dan kuantitas cara budidaya tanaman tembakau.Perluasan areal pertanaman tembakau masih terbuka lebar diseluruh wilayah kabupaten Ponorogo, kecuali wilayah kecamatan Pudak karena kondisi iklim yang kurang cocok untuk pengembangan tembakau dan wilayah kecamatan Jetis karena kondisi angin yang terlalu kencang. Penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis SWOT serta analisis deskriptif untuk mengidentifikasi, mengetahui dan menganalisis pelaksanaan usaha tembakau dalam rangka penumbuhan usaha agribisnis dengan cara identifikasi data sekunder pada Dinas Pertanian (bidang perkebunan) kabupaten Ponorogo dan wawancara dengan anggota kelompok tani tembakau kabupaten Ponorogo. Hasil SWOT Analisys menunjukkan pada posisi kuadarn I (agresif) yang artinya dalampengembangan kawasan industri tembakau harus maju terus dengan menggunakan seluruh kekuatan yang merupakan faktor internal untuk memanfaatkan peluang yang merupakan faktor eksternal yang ada.
