Abstract

Perubahan kurikulum yang terjadi ditujukan untuk menyempurnakan dari kurikulum sebelumnya yang dianggap sudah tidak mampu untuk memenuhi tuntutan zaman. Akan tetapi, perubahan kurikulum tersebut tidak dengan instannya menjadi solusi, melainkan juga menghadirkan tantangan baru bagi seluruh pihak yang terlibat dalam sistem pendidikan. Untuk itu, guru harus memiliki strategi tersendiri untuk menyelesaikan tantangan tersebut, sehingga penerapan kurikulum merdeka belajar dapat berjalan dengan baik dan menghasilkan sesuai dengan apa yang diharapkan. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan strategi guru PAI di SMAN 02 Ponorogo dalam menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kualitatif dengan wawancara dan observasi langsung ke lapangan sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Analisis dilakukan dengan mereduksi data yang yang kemudian display data dengan cara mendeskripsikannya secara sistematis. Hasil yang didapat yaitu Sebagai seorang profesional, guru PAI di SMAN 02 Ponorogo sudah memiliki dan menerapkan strategi yang baik dan inovatif dalam menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis kurikulum merdeka. Hadirnya inovasi pembelajaran PAI dengan program Intensif Quran Reading Activity menjadi bukti bahwa peran guru sebagai fasilitator dan penekanan pada media pembelajaran diterapkan dengan baik. Begitu juga dengan evaluasi pembelajaran, strategi yang diterapkan dinilai sudah mampu untuk menjawab tantangan yang ada karena perubahan kurikulum dan perkembangan teknologi.

Abstract

The growing gap between the curriculum taught in educational institutions and the demands of the workforce in the education sector highlights the need for more relevant teacher training, emphasizing the importance of evaluating microteaching programs. Therefore, the Faculty of Tarbiyah at UNIDA Gontor developed a microteaching program named the Teacher Training and Development Program (TTDP). The purpose of this study is to explore students' perceptions of the implementation of the Teacher Training and Development Program (TTDP) at the Faculty of Tarbiyah, UNIDA Gontor. This study investigates the effectiveness of the TTDP as perceived by 6th-semester students. The study uses a quantitative design with a survey approach. Data was collected through a Likert scale questionnaire distributed via Google Forms. The collected data was analyzed descriptively with percentages, and through qualitative analysis, including data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The study assesses students' perceptions of various teaching skills. The results show: 1) Based on students' perceptions, there is a strong positive impact of the TTDP program in developing teaching skills, with the majority of students reporting significant improvement in their ability to explain material, manage classrooms, ask meaningful questions, guide discussions, apply diverse teaching methods, and provide effective reinforcement. 2) This study found the innovative design of the TTDP program, which differs from other microteaching programs by integrating the needs of various types of educational institutions (madrasah, schools, and pesantren) in the teaching materials. 3) This study highlights the contribution of TTDP in addressing curriculum gaps and aligning teacher education with market needs, so the TTDP teacher training model can be implemented in various education faculties across Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the innovation in the microteaching program design implemented by the Faculty of Tarbiyah at UNIDA Gontor through the Teacher Training Development Program (TTDP). Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the program’s success is supported by the systematic integration of theory and practice. Innovations include theoretical guidance on basic teaching concepts, workshops and mentoring by expert lecturers in lesson plan development, selection of model teachers, teaching practice using relevant curriculum materials in pesantren, schools, and madrasahs, and an emphasis on active learning models.

Abstract

Continuing children's education is a responsibility of every parent, including choosing the right educational institution, one of which is an Islamic boarding school. This study aims to identify the motivations of parents and children in choosing an Islamic boarding school as an educational institution. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were obtained from eight informants through direct interviews using a set of interview protocols. Overall, the results revealed seven main themes regarding parents’ and children’s motivations in choosing Islamic boarding schools as educational institutions. These themes are divided into three parental motivation themes and four child motivation themes. The three parental motivations are: i) strengthening the child’s religious foundation, ii) avoiding negative social influences, and iii) the desire to shape the child into a better person. Furthermore, the four themes of children’s motivation are: i) self-initiative, ii) parental encouragement, iii) deepening religious knowledge, and iv) the aspiration to become a hafidz or hafidzah. The findings of this study suggest that effective communication and value alignment between parents and children may play an important role in decision-making regarding faith-based education.

Abstract

Islamic boarding colleges have many activities, both academic and non-academic. This causes some students to experience problems such as time management, relationships with friends, and other issues that lead to stress among students. Social support is one of the problem solvers used by these students. This research aims to understand the social problems commonly faced by student santris, the sources of social support available to student santris, and the forms of social support from parents, lecturers, and friends that can serve as coping mechanisms for the stress experienced by student santris. This research is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach. The researcher aims to understand the phenomenon of what the research subjects experience related to perception behavior, motivation, actions, and experiences regarding forms of social support as a way to cope with stress in facing social problems at UNIDA Gontor. The results of this study indicate that the social problems commonly faced by student santris include issues such as discipline, friendship, and economic problems, while the social support for student santris is obtained from friends, parents, dormitory principals, academic and Islamic boarding University advisors, as well as the counseling team. The forms of social support provided to students experiencing stress include emotional support, recognition, and informational support, which can be ways to address the stress of students in facing social problems in the environment of Islamic boarding University higher education.

Abstract

The phenomenology of Quran memorization is increasingly found among Muslim communities, both from children to the elderly. Of course, the success of a person in memorizing the Quran is inseparable from the guidance of a teacher, obviously the teacher in question has certain criteria that make the teacher an idol or ideal for a student. Precisely, this study aims to identify and analyze how the criteria for ideal teachers according to the assessment of students. This research uses qualitative methods with ethnography type. Data sources were taken through in-depth interviews with thirty informants selected using the purposive sampling technique, consisting of students and lecturers at one of the Quranic universities in Indonesia. All data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive technique. The research findings found ten criteria for ideal teachers from the perspective of students as mentors in memorizing the Quran. The ten criteria are i) providing motivation, ii) guiding students, iii) having deep knowledge, iv) patient, v) friendly, vi) firm, vii) mutqin “strong memorization” viii) discipline, ix) having Quranic art skills, x) giving rewards. The ten teacher criteria in this finding can be used as a reference for all Quranic education institutions in choosing Quranic teachers, because teachers with such criteria have succeeded in leading students to successfully memorize the Quran.

Abstract

Fenomena perilaku terlambat masuk kelas mahasiswa PAI semester 5 UNIDA Gontor menarik untuk dikaji. Ada beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya perilaku tersebut pada mahasiswa di antaranya; kurangnya motivasi belajar dan rendahnya rasa hormat dan menghargai dosen. Melihat fenomena yang terjadi, sebagai seorang pendidik, dosen harus mengoptimalkan perannya yang tidak hanya untuk transfer ilmu, melainkan membangun pribadi yang baik dan teratur. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan peran dosen dalam mendisiplinkan perilaku terlambat mahasiswa semester lima PAI UNIDA Gontor. Jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwasanya dosen dalam mengoptimalkan perannya harus lebih memperketat aturan kuliah dan memberikan sanksi yang tegas kepada mahasiswa yang terlambat. Selain itu kampus juga harus memiliki andil besar dalam mengatasi permasalahan perilaku terlambat mahasiswa karena penyelesaian yang holistik dan terstruktur. Dengan cara ini, perilaku terlambat mahasiswa yang disebabkan oleh rendahnya motivasi belajar dan kurangnya rasa hormat dan menghargai dosen dapat diatasi.
