Abstract

UTILIZATION OF ENSILAGE KEPOK BANANA PEELS REPLACING PART OF CORN IN THE DIET ON CARCASSES AND VISCERA INDICES OF BROILER. The purpose of the present research was to determine the substitution of corn with ensilage kepok banana peels (Musa paradisiaca formatypica) in the diet on  carcasses and viscera indices of broiler. Trial was arranged using an experimental study. Sixty unsexed Cobb day old Chicks (DOC) were used in a Completely Randomized Design arrangement, with 4 treatments and 5 replications. Treatments were formulated as follow: R0 = 50% yellow corn + 0% ensilage kepok banana peels, R1 = 42,5% yellow corn + 7,5% ensilage kepok banana peels, R2 = 35% yellow corn + 15% ensilage kepok banana peels, R3 = 27,5% yellow corn + 22.5% ensilage kepok banana peels. Parameters measured were: carcass weight (g), abdominal fat (%), liver weight (%), and gizzard weight (%). Research results showed that, the subtitution of yellow corn with ensilage kepok banana peels gave a significant different (P<0,05) effect on carcass weight, abdominal fat percentage, liver weight percentage, and gizzard weight percentage. The higher the ensilage kepok banana peels replacing corn in the diets, the lower the carcass weight and abdominal fat percentage, whereas liver weight percentage and gizzard weight percentage both decreased as the subtitution of ensilage kepok   banana    peels   increased.  Carcass percentage was the only parameter that was not affected (P>0,05) by treatments. It can be concluded that the utilization of ensilage kepok banana peels up to 30% or 15% can still substitute yellow corn in broiler diets.   Keywords : Broiler, Kepok Banana Peels, Carcasses, Viscera

Abstract

SUBSTITUTION OF SOME RATION WITH COCONUT OIL ON THE PERFORMANCE OF LAYING SUPER NATIVE CHICKEN. The pupose of the research is to knowing the substitution of some ratio with coconut oil on the performance of laying super native chicken. this research already implemented during 8 weeks. The material used in this study was a 80 laying hens super native chicken aged 5 month. The research design used was the completely randomized design (CDR) with 5 treatment and 4 replications. Tukey test was used for further test. Treatments were formulated as follow : R0 = 100% control diet + 0% Coconut Oil (CO); R1 = 99.5% control diet + 0.5% CO; R2 = 99% control diet + 1% CO; R3 = 98.5% control diet + 1.5% CO; R4 = 98% control diet + 2% CO. The result showed that applying the coconut oil until 2% giving increase for egg production and giving the same effect for feed consumtion and feed conversion.Keywords : laying super chicken native, coconut oil.

Abstract

THE EFFECTS OF SUBSTITUTION OF RICE BRAIN WITH COFFEE PULP ON BROILER’S CARCASS AND ABDOMINAL LIPID PERCENTAGES. A research evaluating the effects of substitution of rice brain with coffee pulp on broiler’s carcass and abdominal lipid percentage has been conducted at Faculty of Animal Science. Sixty unsexed broiler’s strain Hubbard were used in this experiment. The chicks were allocated into 20 units of cages. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments were R0 (0% coffee pulp), R1 (7% coffee pulp), R2 (14% coffee pulp) and R3 (21% coffee pulp). Variable measure were : carcass percentage and abdominal lipid percentage. Anova showed that there were higly significant effects of treatment on carcass and abdominal lipid percentages. Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test showed that there were no significant difference on carcass percentage among R0 (72.77%), R1 (71.96%), and R2 (71.45%), however percentage carcass of R3 (67.41%) significantly lower compared to R0, R1, and R2. There were no  significant difference abdominal lipid percentage of R0 (1.78%) and R1 (1.70%).  R0 and R1 were significantly higher compared to R2 (1.15%) and R3 (0.88%), however R2 was significantly higher compared to R3. It is concluded that the substitution of rice brain with 14% coffee pulp was the best effects on carcass and abdominal lipids of broiler.   Keyword : coffee pulp, broiler, carcass percentages, abdominal lipid.

Abstract

THE EFFECT OF THE USE OF PAPAYA LEAVES SUBSTITUTED TO BASAL DIET ON THE PERCENTAGE OF CARCASS AND ABDOMINAL FAT PERCENTAGE OF BROILER CHICKEN. This study aims to determine the effect of papaya leaf meal substituted to basal diet on the carcass weight, percentage of carcass, and abdominal fat of broilers. This study used 80 unsexed broilers, day old chick (DOC). The experiment used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. The arrangement of the experimental treatments was as follows: R₀ = 100% basal diet (BD), 0% papaya leaf meal (PLM), R₁ = 95% BD + 5% PLM, R₂ = 90% BD + 10% PLM, R₃ = 85% BD + 15% PLM. The results showed that partial replacement of the basal diet with with papaya leaf meal had no significant effect on carcass weight and the percentage of broiler abdominal fat. The treatment gave a very significant difference on the percentage of carcass. On carcass percentage results showed that R0 was highly significant different from R3 but not significantly different with R2 and R1. Treatment R1 was significantly different from R3 but not significantly different from R2, whereas between treatments R2 and R3 were significantly different. Based on the results of this study it can be stated that the use of papaya leaf meal up to level of 15% can produce a good proportion of carcass and abdominal fat. Keywords: broiler, papaya leaf meal, carcasses, abdominal fat.

Abstract

EFFECT OF REPLACEMENT SOME RATIONS WITH FLOUR YELLOW PUMPKIN WASTE (CUCURBITA MOSCHATA) AGAINST PERFORMANCE BROILER. This study aims to determine   the extent of the partial replacement of rations with pumpkin waste flour (Cucurbita moschata) as measured by broiler performance. Using 100 unsexed broiler Cobb 707 aged 1 day with average body weight ± 45.32 g. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment composition is as follows: R0 = 100% basal ration (RB) + 0% pumpkin waste flour (TLLK), R1 = 95% RB + 5% TLLK, R2 = 90% RB + 10% TLLK, R3 = 85% RB + 15% TLLK.  Results of analysis of variance showed that the dissecting treatment was not significant (P>0.05) for the consumption, weight and conversion of ration The use of pumpkin waste flour can replace a portion of the ration up to 15%.Key words: Performance, waste pumpkin, broiler.

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk membantu guru dalam mengembangkan alat evaluasi ranah afektif dalam pembelajaran IPS pada guru-guru SMP di Tondano. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini didasari pada kenyataan bahwa pemberlakukan Kurikulum 2013 mempersyaratkan guru untuk mengembangkan kompetensi afektif peserta didik sebagai bagian dari pendidikan karakter. Mengingat keterbatasan kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan alat evaluasi ranah afektif dalam pembelajaran IPS berhubung selama ini evaluasi pembelajaran lebih berfokus pada ranah kognitif. Kegiatan pengabdian diarahkan kepada tujuan: 1) Memberikan arahan kepada guru mengenai pentingnya pengembangan dan penyusunan alat evaluasi ranah afektif untuk pembelajaran IPS; 2) Memberikan bantuan kepada guru untuk mengembangkan kemampuan menyusun tujuan pembelajaran ranah afektif untuk pembelajaran IPS; dan 3) Memberikan bantuan dan pendampingan kepada guru dalam menyusun dan mengembangkan alat evaluasi ranah afektif untuk pembelajaran IPS. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian memperlihatkan para guru IPS SMP di Tondano merasakan manfaat yang besar melalui kegiatan yang diberikan yang telah mengarahkan dan mendayagunakan kemampuan mereka untuk mengembangkan dan menyusun alat evaluasi ranah afektif bagi pembelajaran IPS. Melalui pemahaman lebih mendalam tentang ranah afektif dan kedudukannya dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik, para guru memperoleh kemampuan dalam memetakan materi matapelajaran IPS yang dapat diuji dengan menggunakan alat evaluasi ranah afektif sekaligus sebagai umpan balik dalam membina karakter peserta didik.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to reveal how the strategic planning in schools: a study of educational management. This method of research is the study of literature which collects data based on various references that are relevant to the research problem. The method of collecting data through various relevant references both available on the Internet and that are obtained manually such as books, and so on. Research findings revealed that a systematic and precisely prepare strategic development plan, which gives the school confidence in achieving the desired conditions. The development plan is based on four pillars:1. Strengthening of the organizational and administrative system, 2. Increase resource capacity and productivity, 3. More collaboration with stakeholders, 4. To improve the quality of education and access to student affairs. The advantages of strategic plans for educational institutions are as follows: 1. Strategic plans can increase "critical mass", which is the group of employees in an organization who have the motivation, "ability" and (deep knowledge) to increase productivity, 2. Strategic plans can help optimize organizational performance, 3. Strategic plans can help managers focus and implement a continuous improvement framework, 4. Strategic plans guide decision making; And, 5. Strategic plans always make it easier to measure the progress of educational institutions.

Abstract

Discrimination can manifest in numerous ways. At its core, intolerance can have devastating consequences, including dehumanizing people and making them feel insignificant or inferior, leading to social exclusion and violence. Discrimination has the potential to have a devastating impact on mental health, especially in immigrant communities. Analyzing written transcripts, field notes, and recorded conversations yields themes and insights from qualitative research. Interviews are used by data collection techniques to collect information from participants regarding their experiences or opinions on specific topics. Some members were dissatisfied with its independence from Dutch-established churches, while others desired to incorporate traditional beliefs. These debates remain central to the development of Christian identity in Minahasa today. Although religion and tradition are frequently intertwined, many villagers believe that preserving their religious heritage is essential to preserving their sense of identity; however, this has proven more difficult as Protestant churches have been less accommodating of cultural practices in their services.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the fermentation time of sago pulp using white oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) on the content of dry matter, protein and crude fiber. Field research has been conducted in Tomohon city and the results of the study were analyzed at the Food and Non-Food Sample Testing Laboratory, Manado Industrial Standardization and Service Center. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment design is P0 = Fermentation Time 0 days; P1 = Fermentation Time 2 weeks; P2 = Fermentation Time 4 weeks and P3 = Fermentation Time 6 weeks. The variables measured in this study were dry matter, protein and crude fiber content. The results of the diversity analysis showed that the treatment of sago pulp fermentation time using white oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) showed very significant different results (P 0.01) on the dry matter and protein content. The average value of dry matter for each treatment obtained was P0 = 44.94%; P1=44.94%; P2=46.54% and P3=46.96%, while the average protein value is P0=3.32%; P1=3.36%; P2=5.29% and P3=4.99%. Analysis of diversity shows that the treatment gives a response to the crude fiber content showing no significant difference (P0.05) with an average value of each treatment, namely P0=22.22%; P1=21.62%; P2=18.53% and P3=18.84%. The results of the study showed that the treatment of sago pulp fermentation for 4 weeks using white oyster mushrooms (Pleorotus ostreatus) showed the best results in terms of dry matter and protein content

Abstract

Pendampingan terhadap mahasiswa sebagai kegiatan tidak terpisahkan dari tugas seorang dosen. Banyak hal yang dapat diterapkan dan dikomunikasikan bersama mahasiswa bimbingan ketika mereka terjun di lapangan seperti di sekolah dari tangkat dasar sampai tingkat tinggi. Setiap kegiatan mahasiswa yang didampingi dosen membawa misi tertentu yang pada intinya demi perbaikan pendidikan sekolah. Tujuan dari artikel ini tidak lain untuk memotret pelaksanaan pendampingan terhadap mahasiswa yang bertugas mengenal lingkungan sekolah dasar dimana mereka diturunkan. Metode pendampingan intensif yang dilaksanakan mulai dari pra kegiatan, pelaksanaan, sampai pasca pelaksanaan. Hasil kajian dapat kita lihat bahwa kolaborasi mampu meningkatkan komunikasi berbagai pihak yang termasuk masyarakat di luar sekolah. Bimbingan dan pendampingan mahasiswa mampu memberikan jalan bagi mahasiswa terhadap berbagai permasalahan yang ditemui disekolah. Permasalahan mahasiswa dapat dilihat pada laporan setiap minggu yang mereka sampaikan baik melalui tulisan maupun disampaikan secara langsung. Komunikasi menjadi kunci penting bagi kesuksesan pelaksanaan pendampingan bersama mahasiswa maupun pihak terkait. Kegiatan mahasiswa memberi dampak besar bagi siswa di sekolah.
