Abstract

This study describes the situation of the New Normal learning period. Anxiety in the community who wants face-to-face learning to be carried out again. The method used is descriptive qualitative research method, namely research that describes the actual conditions. This research is used to analyze events, phenomena, or social realities by including analysis and interpretation of the problems studied. This research is expected to be able to see how the implementation of learning during the new normal is carried out in accordance with the provisions that apply during the covid 19 period that hit the city of Padang. Data obtained from various sources, data collection techniques through instruments carried out by researchers, such as observation, interviews and documentation. Research subjects are informants, namely people who provide a description of the current situation, namely a social situation or social situation which consists of three elements, namely place (palce), actors (actors), and activities (activity) that interact synergistically. Then the analysis and conclusion, the location of this research in the city of Padang. This study sees that in the implementation of the new normal learning period after being online for a long time, it must follow the applicable rules and careful preparation in the midst of the covid 19 virus siege. Considering further that many parents of elementary school students want to return to regular learning face to face. Judging from the results of this study, learning in the new normal period is carried out well if there is cooperation between teachers, students and parents in studying at home. Full guidance for children, and the readiness of parents to take their time and continue to carry out health protocols as a condition for face-to-face learning to be reopened.

Abstract

This study aims to (a) To describe the urgency of pedagogical competence in fostering student character (b) To describe the urgency of personality competence in fostering student character (c) To describe the urgency of social competence in fostering student character (d) To describe the urgency of professional competence in coaching student character. Retrieval of data using qualitative descriptive methods to describe and describethe urgency of teacher competence in fostering student character in MTsN Pancung Soal in accordance with what it is and analyze it scientifically. The research data collection was carried out on the Principal, Teachers and Students of MTsN Pancung Soal Pesisir Selatan District by using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Indicators of character development that need to be done in learning are reviewed from 4 (four) aspects of teacher competency, namely: (1) the urgency of pedagogical competenciesin the form of understanding character values for students, applying character values inthe implementation of learning, instilling character values in utilizing learning technology,evaluating learning outcomes and actualizing student potential. (2) the urgency of personality competence in the form of inculcation of character values in loving position, being fair toall students, being patient and calm, and building authority as educators. (3) the urgency of social competence in the form of instilling values of politeness in oral and writtencommunication, the use of information technology and functional communication, associating effectively with the whole school community and student guardians. (4) the urgency of professional competence in the form of inculcation of character values in the educational foundation as well as in learning materials.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to illustrate the efforts made by parents in providing sex education to children aged 6-13 years. To explain what form of child questions about sex and to explain the obstacles faced by parents in providing sex education to children aged 6-13 years in Sungai Kuyung KecamatanPancung Soal Sub-District. This research is field research with descriptive qualitative methods. In the determination of the sample the author uses snowball sampling. The results of the research that has been conducted in Sungai Kuyung River Village are parents trying to provide sex education to the child and answer the child's questions about sex. Here parents play a role in teaching child sex abuse by applying when entering the parent's room by asking permission before entering, teaching how to look at the situation seen by the child. Then parents also avoid the child from free sex by separating the bed between the parent and brother or sister. Parents also explain about sex to their child as much as they can.

Abstract

The development of technology in the world of education has produced many new innovations to support the learning process. One of them is the increasing number of variations of learning media thanks to increasingly rapid technological developments. In the world of education, a shift has been felt, and even a fundamental change at the level of philosophy, direction and purpose. It is no exaggeration to say that scientific progress was triggered by the birth of computer technology. One of the most prominent characteristics of this era is the increasingly interconnected world of science, so that the relationship between them becomes faster. In the context of the use of information and communication technology in the world of education, it has been proven that the "space and time" factor has become increasingly narrow and fused, which has been the determining aspect of the speed and success of human knowledge mastery.

Abstract

This research describes the post-covid-19 situation and the readiness of elementary school children to carry out face-to-face learning again. The qualitative descriptive research method of this research is used to analyze events, phenomena, or conditions of social reality. Data were obtained from various sources, data collection techniques through instruments carried out by researchers, such as observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects are informants, namely people who provide an overview of the current situation, namely a social situation or social situation consisting of three elements, namely places, actors, and activities that integrate synergistically. Then the analysis and conclusions, the location of this research is in the city of Padang. This research sees that in re-implementing post-online learning during Covid 19, the role of parents must be fully carried out to revive children's enthusiasm because they are used to learning using technology such as gadgets. Currently, the city of Padang has conducted full face-to-face meetings, asking elementary school-age students to attend. This is certainly not easy to change because it has long been complacent because at this age children need the active role of parents as guides in getting to know learning again. The results of this study post-covid 19 learning can be carried out well if there is full guidance for children, and the readiness of the parents is very meaningful

Abstract

Studi ini menyelidiki manfaat penggunaan membaca ekstensif dalam pengajaran membaca dan juga sikap siswa terhadapnya. Desain studi kasus sebagai bagian dari penelitian kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi kelas, angket dan wawancara. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II di salah satu SMA Negeri 2 Linggo Sari baganti. Temuan mengungkapkan bahwa membaca ekstensif bermanfaat dalam mengajar membaca. Ada lima manfaat yang ditemukan, yaitu membangun perspektif siswa bahwa membaca adalah kegiatan yang menarik, menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, membantu siswa mengembangkan kosa kata yang luas, meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa, dan meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam membaca. Selain itu, sebagian besar siswa memiliki sikap positif terhadap penggunaan membaca ekstensif di kelas membaca mereka. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengajaran bahasa Inggris khususnya dalam penggunaan teknik membaca ekstensif dalam pengajaran membaca. Namun, untuk mencapai manfaat maksimal dari teknik ini, disarankan agar beberapa aspek dari teknik ini diperbaiki; antara lain peningkatan pemahaman guru tentang prinsip dan konsep membaca ekstensif, untuk mengisi kekosongan dalam pembelajaran tentang membaca ekstensif, penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui manfaat penggunaan membaca ekstensif dalam pengajaran membaca.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun dan mengembangkan buku ajar Geografi Desa-Kota serta mengetahui tingkat kelayakannya menggunakan model ADDIE. Lokasi penelitian ini dilaksanakan di STKIP Pesisir Selatan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa aktif di Program Studi Pendidikan Geografi seluruh angkatan (Pesisir Selatan) yang berjumlah 40 mahasiswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan melihat syarat-syarat sebagai berikut;1) Seluruh mahasiswa tersebut telah menempuh matakuliah Geografi Desa Kota; 2) mahasiswa diampu oleh dosen yang sama. Berdasarkan syarat-syarat tersebut maka kelas uji coba produk adalah semester 4 sebanyak 25 orang. Prosedur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini disesuaikan dengan langkah-langkah pengembangan model ADDIE: Analysis (analisis), Design (desain), Development (pengembangan), Implentation (implementasi), dan Evaluation (evaluasi).Teknik analisis data untuk menganalisis kelayakan buku ajar Geografi Desa-Kota adalah dengan menggunakan rumus deskriptif persentase. Hasil analisis data dalam penelitian ini secara keseluruhan menunjukkan angka persentase sebesar 68,56 %. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kelayakan Buku Ajar Geografi Desa-Kota yang dikembangkan berada dalam kategori layak dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran.
