Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of peer assessment in increasing students' mastery of procedural knowledge in service company accounting learning. Procedural knowledge is essential in accounting because it includes applying accounting concepts and theories in real-world contexts, such as recording transactions and preparing financial statements. The peer assessment method allows students to assess their classmates' work, provide constructive feedback, and improve their understanding through the evaluation process. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The research subjects are 55 4th-semester students in the Accounting of Service Companies lecture in the Economics Education Study Program, FKIP ULM, who study accounting for service companies. Data was collected through observation of the learning process and questionnaires given to students after applying the peer assessment method. This questionnaire evaluates students' increased understanding of service company accounting procedures and their attitudes toward using peer assessment in learning. The results of the study show that the application of peer assessment has a positive effect on the mastery of procedural knowledge. Most students feel that this method helps them better understand the steps in compiling the financial statements of service companies. In addition, students feel more confident and motivated to learn after receiving feedback from their peers. Thus, peer assessment effectively increases the mastery of procedural knowledge in service company accounting learning.

Abstract

Field Lectures and Teaching Practice (PPL) is a training ground for FKIP students to determine the various knowledge, attitudes, and skills of teachers so that they can carry out their duties and responsibilities professionally, as well as the framework for forming professional teachers. However, what is happening in the field is that the implementation of PPL online has not been maximized because there are many inhibiting factors such as quotas, networks, inadequate devices from students and the students themselves, and also online learning media platforms which are still underutilized by teachers or students, resulting in difficulties. Carry out learning interactions. The purpose of this research is to explain the effect of implementing lectures and PPL II online on the readiness of students to become teachers. The researcher wants to explain the causal relationship between lectures and PPL II, which affects student readiness to become teachers data processing using SEM Analysis. The analytical tool used is LISREL. The study results show that lectures and PPL II influence student readiness to become teachers. Furthermore, students agree or are ready for readiness to become teachers after the implementation of PPL II, even though it is online.

Abstract

Banjarmasin, frequently referred to as the "City of a Thousand Rivers," is endowed with substantial natural resources, among which is the prolific aquatic weed Eichhornia crassipes (water hyacinth). Although conventionally regarded as an environmental pest, this Research examines its viability as a sustainable raw material for local handicraft manufacturing, to stimulate economic advancement within the community. Using a qualitative methodology, data were collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation with the "Ilung Benawa" weaving collective. The study seeks to: (1) assess the economic implications of water hyacinth handicraft production; (2) pinpoint principal challenges in its development; and (3) advance strategic recommendations for sectoral growth. The findings reveal that water hyacinth is successfully converted into marketable goods—such as bags, hampers, and home décor—that provide supplementary income to local artisans, most of whom are women. Notwithstanding these benefits, persistent constraints include reliance on favourable weather for drying raw materials, limited product and colour diversification, and challenges in scaling production to meet broader market demand. Recommendations underscore the need for targeted governmental and non-governmental support through capital investment, technical training in dyeing and preservation, and the establishment of cooperative frameworks to bolster productive capacity and market penetration. In conclusion, this study affirms that valorising water hyacinth through handicraft production is a feasible dual-purpose strategy that advances both environmental stewardship and sustainable livelihoods, thereby aligning with the wider aims of the circular economy and community resilience.
